Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
- I am applying for Medical Consultant as I am spending most of my time in the medical wing interacting with everyone and the atmosphere. I know that I can be more involved with the Medical Wing to help further its contribution to the site. I also believe this would be a good chance for my first Junior CL4; to learn and adapt to the position so that I am prepared for future roles.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
- I believe that I have been working with and in Medical long enough to understand the processes and procedures. I think I am well versed in policies; enough so that I do get consulted by other Doctors for information in the department. I would like to believe that my face is well enough known and trusted that patients do not fear treatment. I know that I could step up if needed to make a medical decision with the trust of my Department Directors.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
- Diagnosing and Treating illnesses
- Ask the patient what their symptoms consist of.
- Walk the patient back to the treatment room and inform them of our Infection Testing Scanner.
- Have the patient lie on the table and advise there might be a sharp pain.
- Wait out the test then procure the cure for infection/illness, typically 50-100ML depending on the medicine.
- Give the patient their medicine and double check on how they feel after being cured.
- Send the patient on their way once complete
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
- Hosting Medical licensing tests
- Training and Tutoring Medical Staff
- Helping the Dpt Directors improve relations with other Foundation Departments
- Giving Senior Psych and Physical Evaluations
- Hosting Medical Combative Tryouts
- Treating/Diagnosing Foundation members
- Making Medicine for treatment of patients
- Making sure Jr Medical staff are taken to safety during Code 5
- Overseeing surgeries in Med bay
- Disciplining Medical staff that are not following the Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what story lines they would be involved in:
After an injury while assisting a researcher with a test on SCP [REDACTED], Nyssa was badly injured. She spent a lot of time around Med bay in recovery from surgery, studying the medical knowledge and procedures within the department. She incurred a large bill from her surgery, so she started working with the medical department as an aid to help pay off her debt. Nyssa was starting to enjoy helping patients and returning them to proper health. While working she began studying for her Doctorate in an attempt to take better care of her patients. After Nyssa received her Doctorate, she decided to fully commit to helping the medical staff and site treat patients’ ailments and injuries.
