Description
Mr. Pennyworth is a man of class and appears to utilize advanced tailoring in his various suits. Generally speaking, he is never seen without three things on his person, his top hat, his Monocle, and his Cane, all of which seem to display minor thaumatological properties pertaining to utility and perception. Very recently, he has taken a much more youthful appearance, as though the years that wore upon him simply fell away into nothingness.

Abilities
Minor Thaumatological Capabilities
Forging/Manufacturing objects with predictable 'magic', repairing thaumatological objects, knowledge of thaumatological runes. Rumored to have learned a few tricks from a certain Toymaker.

Minor Ontokinetic Capabilities
Creation of matter from nothing to create minor objects generally no larger than five feet by five feet. It is rumored that this is how he sells energy weapons, by either manifesting them permanently from thin air, or by pulling them from a pocket dimension used to store such things.

Cognitohazard Resistance (Scrambles)
While not infallible, cognitohazards generally take much longer to take effect on Mr. Pennyworth than they normally would on the average person, with certain exceptions, of course. None to date have gazed upon SCP-096 and survived, and Pennyworth wouldn't either.

Blade Mastery
Mr. Pennyworth is a veritable master of the Blade, having lived in the medieval ages, he trained for many years and gained mastery over using a sword. While he couldn't hold a candle to the skill of SCP-076-2, he would likely last longer against him than most.

Immortality
Due to a recent development, involving a deal with the Chief Overseer 'The Italian', Mr. Pennyworth was given a suitable dose of SCP-006, this, coupled with Mr. Pennyworth's consumption of SCP-500 and Immortal Flesh over the course of centuries, have granted Mr. Pennyworth a youthful appearance, and regenerative immortality. Age no longer weighs upon him as it once did, and where he once had the physical appearance of someone in their eighties, he now looks to be much younger, in his forties.

Medical Expertise
Given his extensive years of long life, especially during the time of the bubonic plague, Mr. Pennyworth has a vast array of medical knowledge and has used it on occasion to mend the wounds of Foundation Personnel.

Web of Contacts
While not a power in the traditional sense, as a High-Ranking member of MC&D, Mr. Pennyworth has access to an extremely vast array of anomalies, persons of interest, and supply routes of weaponry and materials. This, as well as his overall willingness to help the foundation and protect the average man, is likely the most useful ability he has to the Council by far.

History.
The history of Mr. Pennyworth is vast and varied, with only his word of mouth having offered minor tidbits of information to various members of foundation personnel. The eyes and ears of the Council have gathered the information currently known and spoken by his own mouth and compiled it into a working story.

Eugene Capsicum was born in London, England in the year 1300, whereupon he was raised as a serf with his mother and father, Catherine and Eustace Wynnsor. Once he reached the age of eight, his father had managed to convince a nearby blacksmith of renown to take Eugene under his wing as an apprentice. The young Eugene took to the art like a fish to water and was able to set himself apart from the other apprentices within a few years of tutelage.

In his adult years, he ended up taking over the smithy after his Master had decided to retire. He worked in London as a smith making arms and armor for the general populace, and he did this for twenty years, gaining prestige and recognition as a renowned blacksmith. He recalls enjoying this period of his life, while it was hard work, and he had his own apprentices to care for, he truly enjoyed the art of the smith. One day, everything would change.

On the morning of February 15th, 1335, He found himself approached by a group of men wearing some of the most refined clothing he had ever seen, they did not speak at first, simply observing how Eugene worked. Then, one of them approached, followed by a serf carrying a small wooden chest. The man made a simple request- a simple offer. They were with a group that was interested in gathering those with skill in the arts, and the gift of gab. If Eugene could create something, anything out of the material they brought with them, he would be promptly provided with an invitation to a group that was exceedingly exclusive, and his life would prosper far greater than he could imagine.

The chest was then opened, revealing three bars of beryllium bronze inside, enough to forge any single item. With that in mind, the man thought to create something for the gentlemen that stood before him, something to reflect their prestige and excellence. After three days, the men returned, and the work had been complete. Eugene had forged a walking cane of
beryllium bronze, seemingly grasping how to work with the material quickly, given his years as a master blacksmith.

The men in fancy clothing seemed to be suitably pleased with the work, and inducted him into the group he would come to know as Marshall, Carter, and Dark Ltd. They provided him with information about the world that he never thought possible, confirming what many at the time thought to be myth or mere legend. The world was filled with magic and mystery, and it ignited a powerful sense of curiosity in Eugene.

Upon becoming an established member of MC&D, Eugene spent many years travelling the world, with the information provided to him by his organization, he would encounter a great many anomalies over the course of his life and would eventually reach the end of his natural lifespan. It was then, that after years of loyalty to MC&D, he would receive his first dose of Immortal flesh. Taken from the body of an immortal beast, when he imbibed it, his age seemed to revert, granting him what he believed to be immortality.

This act would mark him as a higher-ranking member of Marshall, Carter, and Dark, and as such, he received the epithet, 'Mr. Pennyworth'.

Mr. Pennyworth would spend the next several centuries gathering a vast number of contacts and honing his own skills in various mystic arts. Over this time, he would encounter several GOIs and their interpersonal conflicts. Among these, he witnessed the Occult wars and witnessed the death of a God. Naturally, he has not particularly delved into any details regarding the event, and his expression sours when prompted to answer questions about it. He was also around for the time of the creation of the Chaos Insurgency when Estate Noir defected after a disagreement regarding the new policy on the Veil. For most of these events, he acted as a passive observer, selling wares to those who sought him out

In recent years....

Mr. Pennyworth, as of late, appears to have had an ideological shift toward protecting humanity from the various threats of the world. Perhaps it was due to the atrocities that he personally witnessed committed by the anomalous world, perhaps it was another reason entirely. No matter the case, this change of heart resulted in him joining the Shadow Exchange Trade, a Branch of MC&D that focused on promoting good relations with The Foundation, while maintaining good relations with The Insurgency and Global Occult Coalition.

After working for a length of time within SET, his uncanny business sense and ability to gather a wide range of contacts in short time prompted the two Branch Directors of SET, Mr. Lawerence, and Mr. Cannibal, to promote him to their level. He became the Bank and Face of SET, dealing directly with the various GOIs in the general pinewood area.

After a further length of time, Mr. Pennyworth was made the Sole authority within SET as it's Branch Director. Mr. Lawerence retains authority as a Branch Director as well, but given his efforts are in other matters, he currently acts as an advisor to Mr. Pennyworth.

Shortly after this, Mr. Pennyworth shared a discussion with O5-1 'The Italian'. During this conversation, O5-1 queried as to the condition that Mr. Pennyworth found himself in. Upon Mr. Pennyworth reporting that the methods he once used to maintain his physical health were failing, O5-1 recommended that he seek out a physical from site 65's medbay. After doing so, Mr. Pennyworth reported that his prognosis was not good in the slightest. He had a year at most to live, and he needed to seek out a proper heir.

O5-1, seeing that Mr. Pennyworth was not only useful to the Foundation, but openly friendly with it's personnel and sharing very similar, if not the same goals to the Foundation, offered him a deal. Mr. Pennyworth would provide the foundation his knowledge and expertise on a wide array of topics when requested, provide generous donations to the Foundation as to keep it's coffers heavy with coin, and, of course, maintaining friendly relations as they are. In exchange, he would receive something that would cure his condition.

Mr. Pennyworth, feeling that this would only further allow Foundation relations to blossom, agreed. For the protection of Humanity.

O5-1 then turned aside, scanning his retina and fingerprint on an advanced looking safe. From it, he took a vial of SCP-006 and allowed Mr. Pennyworth to drink the vial's contents in its entirety.

The effects of SCP-006 were almost immediate, causing the condition of Mr. Pennyworth to noticeably improve drastically. Likely due to the steady imbibement of immortal flesh and SCP-500, the dose of SCP-006 was able to return him to an age that could be considered that of his prime.

Mr. Pennyworth now embraces his agreement with the highest echelons of the Foundation and strives to act with excellence that befits his nature, not only as a High-Ranking member of MC&D, but as the most trusted member of MC&D to the Foundation to-date.
