Why are you applying for Security Captain?
Since joining in 2023 and working my way up to captain originally I fell in love with GSD. The variations in duties, the different people you get to interact with and generally being a part of that community. General security has remained the only department I consistently enjoy playing. When I came back I was apprehensive about some of the changes made but since throwing myself back in and learning the ins and outs of these policies I now realise they are working well and enjoy playing on site with them. I would like to pursue a leadership role because I've noticed in the hours I play it's normally just me on or me and one other captain. If that captain is then busy it means D class start complaining about work permits, site staff can't get definitive answers on issues and D block often times is left without a leadership role. I want to be able to help out with all these things as well as get back into writing external documents which I thoroughly enjoyed during the 2023 GSD rework.
I am currently on maternity leave meaning I have more time than the average person would to be able to play, also meaning my hours tend to be at low pop times when the baby is napping or post bed time.

What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I have been captain twice previously and almost made it to Chief. During my time I worked as a roleplay lead to try enhance roleplay throughout GSD and for D class by providing more opportunities for them. I've ran countless sweeps, try-outs and spent hours managing d block. As I took such a long break I have spent more time this time around shadowing captains, performing try-outs under supervision and reading the new documentation. While in days I may not have been back for long the considerable amount of playtime I have on GSD since my return should be noted. I have been working alongside Captain Bob to implement and think of ideas for a new sub-regiment for GSD, meeting the other captains and re familiarizing myself with the role. I now feel I am ready to step back into the duties that come with being a captain and Jr Cl4.

What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
- Management of D block and the Site in General: This is done by assigning POI's, leading sweeps and patrols and ensuring the appropriate staff respond to Code 1 and 5s. Making sure testing can run safely and efficiently. Additionally maintaining good relations with the other departments on site is vital to being a Captain.
- Training and team building: This is done by ensuring regular tryouts are held for the Heavy weapons license and the Riot license. Additionally organising in regiment trainings as well as cross trainings can be particularly helpful to guide new GSD in how to complete their duties. Scouting Sergeants is another thing a captain should have in the back of their minds as they navigate D block on a day to day basis.
- Behaviour within General security: As a captain you represent the leadership of general security. You are in charge of ensuring the FLC is upheld by your department and giving PT's or penalties when it is ignored. You are the voice of the department and should ensure professionalism when dealing with other departments and MTF's, keeping up to date with zone jurisdictions and site policies.
- Upkeep of Documents: Both in and out of character documents should be kept updated, accurate and easy to understand. Rosters should be updated with new personnel and ensuring any agreements are properly documented and filed away to the correct places is vital.
