What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Makes all SCPs on the leaderboard be presented as
SCP-LCZ
SCP-UHCZ
SCP-LHCZ
to symbolise that SCPs are online in those areas but do not show which numbers are online.
This does not change the announcement system of "SCP-079 is now on-site" as that is in roleplay, however people can no longer check on the leaderboard which SCPs are possibly breached OOC.
To solve the researcher issue,
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Jack Raider suggested something similar.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Reduces Meta.
- Allows Researchers to still see if someone has flagged onto an SCP.
- More immersive roleplay as people should hear out if an SCP is on-site rather than just learn OOC.
- Protects Staff from the 800 list complaint of meta roleplay from 079 players.
- Makes the SCP announcement saying "SCP-XXX is now available" actually helpful instead of just another annoying sound in your ear.
- Improves the purpose of HCZ Sweeps, as currently they like to skip some patrol locations knowing that there won't be an SCP online in that area such as SCP-966.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- N/A Staff can still see the player on the SCP even if it's XXX through logs, so any problems with server rules can still be enforced.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Generally just improves immersion of the server and realism.
