Denied SCP-Overhaul 076

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
[Alot of SCPs have aged in gameplay, being too basic or what have you making them feel way too bland to fight or too bland to play.
This suggestion will focus on one of the older SCPs on the server being 076.

Right now 076 is very bland as it's whole breach gameplay is running at someone and then swinging as fast as you can click, bullets be damned. It isn't tested on and isn't even sampled.

To fix this I am suggesting using a split off of reality bending powers and balancing to match it, as in lore (not the primary point, just one of) 076 isn't just a dude on crack rushing a cop with a knife, he is a edgy anime tier swordsman.

Power 1, materialize select weapons. Instead of just having a katana, he will be able to get multiple different weapons that preform differently, like a Ax that does more damage per swing but swings slower, a claymore that has a wider frontal swing to hit multiple targets but deals less damage per swing with a medium swingrate, or even weapons that will preform better with new powers.
Power 2, bullet blocking. 076 will have a bullet blocking bar that it can block with for a certain amount of time and have a stamina recovery to it, with specific weapons having a higher block time than others, like a duel blade having the highest, and a heavier harder to move weapon having lowest
Power 3, berserk. For a period of time 076 will go berserk, while in this he cannot change weapons, and moves faster than normal, taking slightly less damage.
ECT, just overall abilities to add a bit more to 076, I'm sure I and others in this thread can think of more to add to 076, but these three are just basic ideas.]

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
[Adds more to the overall playstyle of 076 than a hobo with a sword.
People may become more interested in seeing what he can and can't do leading to research.]

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
[Work for devs
May take a bit to get him balanced with these powers.]

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
[076 has been in the server for years, and besides being given a new CC nothing has been done with him other than HP nerfs and buffs. This could be a breath of fresh air.]

076 is already over-represented in breaches, I think giving him more options/powers to utilise will just make it worse.
Also, I'm not aware of 076 being able to bullet freeze, so i don't think it should be added.

I think there are other ways to make 076 more interesting, he doesn't get much research attention right now (in my opinion), I think that is the better thing to improve.

Not bullet freeze, blocking bullets. I hate to use it as a example but like Jedi. As for source his Wiki says "Terminating SCP-076-2 is often problematic due to its significant physical abilities.-Swat handgun and assault-rifle caliber bullets out of the air with a length of steel rebar." And I agree with
I think there should also be an overall HP nerf to 076, (Something like 12,000 -> 9000 HP) as letting him block bullets & have damage restistance would be pretty powerful.
As I think if it becomes a complex SCP it won't need to just facetank bullets.

I do agree there's alot more we can do to encourage Research RP and that's why I encourage you to share your ideas!
 
I dont think 076 needs a near-direct buff like this, infact he's already one of the stronger SCPs with a breach tool, 12,00 hp, extremely fast and has high dps (able to solo a few ERT easily if he gets close with his speed and isn't super low).

The abilities would be pretty cool, but he'd need a serious rework, maybe reduce his speed to slightly above normal speed, but make his berserk ability give him his current speed for a bit, similar to how 457 works. I like the idea of the bullet blocking and the extra swords.

Slow-motion video footage reveals that the blades in question are actually pulled from a miniature dimensional rift described as a "small hole in space." Where this portal leads is unknown, as is how SCP-076-2 is capable of generating said rifts. Footage of the blades in question shows them to be made out of a completely non-reflective black material appearing as a "black void in space." As the blades rapidly vanish after leaving the subject's possession, no structural analysis is possible at this time."

He technically uses just "bladed weapons" not descriptive to any specific, but from a gameplay aspect we can add diversity to it to give benefits/disadvantages.
 
I dont think 076 needs a near-direct buff like this, infact he's already one of the stronger SCPs with a breach tool, 12,00 hp, extremely fast and has high dps (able to solo a few ERT easily if he gets close with his speed and isn't super low).
I agree. I think this overhaul could allow for easier balancing beyond speed and hp buffs and debuffs with specific weapons and abilities allowing another level of complexity.
To do this Staff can do "live test" where a select staff member is given this 076 build and allowed to breach and see the overall performance before dropping him to the public, this could also be built up to as "effects of test" with events to show the build-up.

I completely agree, and in your reply we're already seeing the potential complexity to the new balancing!

When my suggestion cooldown ends we're getting the void weapons, trust me.

076 is a big enough of a headache as it is. Don't see adding more op powers to 076 would be good for the server health.
Actually I believe your pain with 076 is coming from it being so bland.

076's "power" right now is running fast, having alot of hp, and a sword. The gameplay is run forward and swing sword.

If you know anything about balancing you know this makes it more difficult when you only have 3 things to adjust (speed hp dmg) vs if he was given a overhaul you can safely adjust all 3 by compensating with a cooldown system or stamina. That way it gives 076 not a nerf, but a gameplay overhaul allowing micro changes and balancing with 076 having potential to be a huge threat or extremely weak based on the player playing and their understanding of the abilities and their useing it vs just weak or strong by stats alone.
