SCP-RP - Gamemaster Blacklist Appeal - Lucas/Andreas Kostas

Username: Author

Your in-game name: Lucas/Andreas Kostas

Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:199505498

Previous rank: Gamemaster

Are you appealing a Staff resignation, demotion or blacklist: Blacklist

Date of blacklist: 07/28/2025

Have you received any kicks/warns/bans, and if so, why: (Please note I have reflected on myself during and after each of these warnings and do my best to avoid breaking any server rules in the near or far future.)
Yes, sadly four:
- RDM - June 29th, 2022, Inactive, I still to this day do not know why I was warned for this.
- RDM - May 13, 2023, Inactive, I killed Nathan Smith because he was distributing a Tryout and failed to heed my warning.
- Metagame | Mixing - Nov 11 2023, Inactive, I accidentally took a CI DC’s disguise and told them I wouldn't use it, but then they (as chefs) pulled guns out and tried to kill me, so I shot them.
- Mic Spam - Nov 22 2023, Inactive, I was playing music with a few people in Core, and an Admin overheard me.
- FailRP - June 25, 2024, Inactive, I was playing as SCP-096 at the time, and during my breach, I had failed to realize I had seen someone and went past them. This led to the player making a staff ticket.

Who blacklisted you from Staff: UK Staff Member Dennid (Senior Admin)

Why were you blacklisted from Staff: With my first conversation and those that followed, I was given the reason for my blacklist and Removal from the Gamemaster team as “For a lack of a better word ( or term I forgot), you did a slop event”. So, in short, from what information I have been given by staff the reason was “A Slop Event”.

Why should you return: So I’d like to break this part down into 3 sections:

1.) I’d like to start this appeal with the following: I understand that, in the past, I have committed actions that warranted infractions and punishments from the GM team. I have taken time to reflect on those actions, both during and after they occurred, and I have made conscious changes to address those past issues.

2.) The incident in question was the cause of my removal from the Game Master team. I was running an event in which I played SCP-343 (God). In this event, SCP-343 (myself) was disguised as a D-Class personnel to observe how his “children” (the D-Class) were being treated within the Foundation.
At first, the event began peacefully; a small “park” was set up in the cells to discourage D-Class from rioting and interrupting researchers’ RP. Over time, however, this evolved into a form of worship from the D-Class toward the D-Class “God” (SCP-343).
Before continuing, I want to emphasize that I am a strong advocate for player-led RP, meaning I prefer to follow the players’ direction rather than sticking strictly to a preset script.
That is exactly what happened during this event. The players (D-Class) began worshiping SCP-343 and requesting weapons for protection (at that point, SCP-343 had witnessed several D-Class being killed in front of him). I granted their requests, giving them weapons to defend themselves. Of course, this was done with cooldowns, not an infinite supply of weapons. At this point, I had only provided the first wave of weapons to the D-Class along with a small health boost.
For context, GMs have access to something called a GMObjective, which allows us to set a range for our actions. I had set this range to a small amount (I believe it was 250), which I thought was about 10 feet. However, there was a technical issue with the GMObjective, and it unintentionally gave weapons to some SCPs and Gensec as well. This was not intentional, and I take full responsibility for the mistake.
Shortly after giving the first wave of weapons, I received a message from Holland (an Admin) requesting that the event end. I complied immediately. I gathered the armed and buffed D-Class in the bathroom and roleplayed sending them to a higher plane of existence in practice; this meant they were killed off in a way that still preserved some RP, rather than simply being gunned down without context.
Once all the D-Class had been removed and all props deleted, I informed Holland that the event had concluded, and he thanked me. I would like to clarify that none of the armed or buffed D-Class ever made it beyond the outer D-block, meaning they did not interfere with other ongoing RP on the site.
While I fully acknowledge that this was not one of my strongest events as a Game Master, I do not believe it was extremely or even mildly harmful to the server. On the contrary, I received multiple messages from players afterwards expressing that they enjoyed the event, as it gave them something to do as D-Class and Gensec. Nonetheless, I apologize for the lack of communication during the event and for the accidental distribution of weapons to SCPs.

3.) I think I should be blacklisted and given the opportunity to return to the GM Team because I have learned and grown since this incident. My time away from the team has allowed me to reflect on my mistakes, while also serving the community and meeting the expectations of the GM role.
First, I fully understand the importance of communication with other staff members during events. In the past, I have occasionally prioritized player immersion over coordination, a mistake I now recognize. Moving forward, I will make communication and transparency a top priority in every event I run if I am able to return to the team.

Secondly, I have developed a better understanding of how to balance both creativity and control. While I still think player-led roleplay should be encouraged and not stifled, I recognize there is a need for clearly defined boundaries of that freedom to ensure events remain balanced and non-disruptive.

Third, I have always had a genuine passion for creating engaging and memorable experiences for the server. My intention for this event was Denver to harm or undermine the integrity of the server. I take a high amount of pride in seeing players enjoy themselves and become immersed in the story lines my self and other Gamemaster built. I want to bring that same enthusiasm back to the Gamemaster team if I am allowed back, but with a new, renewed sense of responsibility and awareness.

Finally, I understand that trust must be rebuilt through actions, not words. If given the opportunity to return, I am more than willing to undergo any probationary period and or additional oversight to demonstrate I can perform the role of Game master adequately.

I'd like to make a comment because I was there for this, you forgot to mention your unauthorized use of reality bending powers to kill people and your abuse of God mode to shoot people with deagles while invisible
If I could address this real quick,

1.) At the time of this event taking place, I was following the Official Handbook for Gamemasters that stated under the Reality Bending section, "Must be approved by a game master or server leadership member. "As I was at the rank of gamemaster, I was not required to obtain approval for use of the reality sweep.

2.) I do admit that I had killed 1-3 people during this while I was in God mode. The reason I killed these people was due to my trying to speak and the players consistently shooting, not allowing me to speak. Though the majority of the people shooting with Deagles were D-class personnel, not myself. Yes, I know this is not a valid excuse, and I do understand why this is frowned upon, and I apologize for that action.

(Please keep in mind this was around 4 months ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy on this, as I took time away from GM to reflect on my actions at this time.)
