Ban length: Unsure, Keeps Changing // was supposed to be unbanned in august but it has extended

What will you do to stop this from happening again: Please see bellow my ban appeal and why I should be unbanned.

I have also thoroughly examined the rules of the server to ensure I will not make the same mistake again.

Why should you be unbanned: Hello,

I am writing to you today to appeal a ban I received on 21 March 2026. The ban was for the following allegations:

NITRP
NLR
Fear RP
Fail RP

This ban occurred on SCP RP. Prior to my ban, I was a very active player within the community. I built up a reputation for myself as a top researcher, with aspirations to reach my goal of being a senior researcher. I was very well known in the community, especially within the USA server.

On 21 March 2026, I was playing on the UK SCP RP server with my friend, Jack. We planned to conduct some research on 914, and we gained approval for this. We collected a D-Class, and had the appropriate level of security.

When we arrived at, one of the guards decided to free the D-Class, meaning that he was able to run free. The D-Class then forced me and Jack into the machine. When further backup arrived, I was already running away from the D-Class, as he had a gun. The guards who arrived to remedy the situation chose to open fire on me and Jack, leading us both to die.

I decided to make my way back to 914, as I had viewed the guard's decision to kill me as unreasonable. However, when I arrived, an admin had decided to ban me for an extended period.

Whilst I appreciate that it is against the rules to return to your place of death shortly after dying, I had thought this wasn't the case in instances of wrongful death. I never had the opportunity to explain myself previously.

I have previously attempted to appeal my ban, to no avail. I have recently noted that my ban has been extended - I am unsure why this is.

I would be grateful if someone could respond to my appeal, and allow me to re-join the community once more.

Hi, I apologise, as I was mistaken. I think I may have attempted to appeal it on Discord, but I may not have done it at the time.
 
Yes of course, Madz is my sister, she joined the server after I had told her about it and got instantly banned. Madz is on my family account. However, the account named "GeraldSteveHereson" Is a second account that I have. After I got banned, I got pretty upset to be honest - I joined back on this account to try and speak to the admin. Upon reading the rules again I noted that 2.05 states that using an alternative account to connect to the server will cause a significant increase to the length of the ban, I did not re-join the server with malicious intentions. I was upset, and it was a decision made out of emotion.

I apologise for breaking the rules, not being aware of them is not an excuse. I understand that you have probably already made your decision.
 
Thank you for your response. I am sorry for my initial mistake in my first read-through of the rules. I should have read them more thoroughly, as I had misinterpreted that element. I hope that my honesty in this situation is enough to show you that I am prepared to return to the community. I truly do miss being a part of the community - and again, ignorance of the rules is not an excuse, and I need to be accountable for my actions.

Thanks for taking the time to make a ban appeal.

Attempting to ban evade is not a new concept for gmod or the gaming community as a whole, I find it hard to believe you had only considered that as a "Not allowed practice" by reading the rules, The fact your "Sister" attempted to join the server a mere 30 minutes after you had been banned leads me to believe you are not being honest here.

Regardless of this, You have a track record on the server, Practically being rebanned days after being unbanned, I do not believe you are attempting to be a productive member of this community and thus will be given more time to reflect and improve your attitude before reappealing.

You may re-appeal in 6 weeks.​
