What server you were banned on: SCP-RP (UK)

Your in-game name: Parawatch Peter

Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:195275685

Ban Reason: RDM [C] Stacked Warnings #SL Holland (I was given 4 warnings before being banned)

Date of ban: 4th November

Who banned you: 'tulp' #SL Holland

Ban length: 3 days

What will you do to stop this from happening again: This is difficult to explain because I don't think I actually broke any rules. I somehow broke 4 rules without ever being brought to a sit the whole night.

Why should you be unbanned: So I was playing the server the night before I was banned on Parawatch, just doing the usual things like infoleaking and other avenues of rp etc. I log into the server the next morning and I am brought to a sit and given 4 warnings and a ban. I asked why I was banned the staff member said "SL made a vote and your receiving a ban" I said I don't remember breaking any rules, I also wasn't brought to a single staff sit to explain any of these potential rule breaks that night which I thought was strange. It seems a bit dodgy how I have woken up to receiving 4 seperate warnings and a ban without being brought to a sit the whole night, but instead woken up to the warnings with no chance to explain myself or give videos in a sit (because its the next day)
I was just looking for some clarity as I don't believe I broke any rules and I had no opportunity to explain anything. Thanks for reading

Hello @Ryan1 thanks for taking the time to make a ban appeal.

To clear up any confusion i was the one who issued the bounty to have you warned / banned. I had spectated you the day prior due to numerous amounts of reports of rulebreaks you had committed, however no one had any concrete evidence to back it up.

I spectated you until i had found out enough to be able to issue you punishments. However, when i was about to pull you for these rulebreaks you logged off. This was right when you ran out of stashed keycards to be able to print more documents with.

I will list the rulebreaks down below, to hopefully be able to help you understand why you receieved your punishments:

ARDM:
  • Tried killing a DEA Agent when the DEA Agent attempted to cuff him.

NLR:
  • Was talking about documents that he had placed on a corkboard in Pinewood PD before his death. And talking about grabbing them later.

FailRP:
  • Shot and attempted to kill on sight a UNGOC who was entering Parawatch House.

Metagaming: Using information he does not have In-Character, to his advantage. Examples:
  • Hiding keycards behind a radiator in Parawatch House, and instantly grabbing them after his death to repeatedly be able to print new documents every life.
  • Hiding documents in various places, and grabbing them at later points.
  • Knowing the routes and his way around the UNGOC base, Foundation Base, and the Scipnet system to be able to get to computers, and print classified documents.

Hi cheers for the reply, so I've already noticed a few what I believe to be inconsistencies in what you are saying, you outline in the two RDM situations that I shot them because they were attempting to restrain me, how is it RDM if in both instances they have initiated a hostile scenario towards me and attempted to restrain me with firearms? There is clear reasoning behind why I shot them.

Also the fail rp warn, at no point did I shoot a UN member without just cause. The only time I shot a UN member that night was when one of them tried to restrain me at gunpoint.
I was playing with another parawatch that did shoot a UN member at para house however. A UN member did attempt to raid the parahouse however were given multiple verbal and written warnings not to enter or they would be shot.

And the meta gaming claim is bit of a joke really, I did have a collection of keycards that I would use to sometimes to print off documents but it was also to access doors, equipment and other locations not just for printing off documents and these keycards are literally in the place I spawn. All of the information that I would infoleak, I had this information in character and was received without rule breaking. And the part about "knowing my way around" is bit of a joke and not true. Every time I spawn I always try to play like I don't know the map, this can be difficult for someone who's played for 2 years it's not always that easy to do.

I'm all for learning and understanding my mistakes, but in this situation I do believe these warnings are completely invalid. The rules can be difficult to understand sometimes as I hear a lot of different interpretations of them but in this case I do feel like it's a situation where someone could have simply had a chat with me for 5-10 mins about potential rulebreaks, I'm obviously not here for a pisstake and have been part of the community for about 2 years, I do a lot of good rp on the server and dont feel like any of the warnings are neccesary.

Cheers for taking the time to read.
-Ryan
