What will you do to stop this from happening again: Basically, I usually play on the US server, but I wanted to try out the UK server. I was playing as a Chemist, and I noticed that on the UK server there are refrigerators that are open to the public and don't require an ID passcode to access.
I took a chemical from one of the refrigerators because I intended to use it for chemistry. I was then told by a staff member that taking chemicals like that is considered stealing. I genuinely wasn't aware of this rule, because on the US server, the chemicals are kept locked inside rooms, so the situation is different. We also don't have refrigerators like this that are openly accessible to the public in the lab, so I assumed they were available for Chemists to use for testing.
I did put the chemical back once I realized I wasn't supposed to take it. I understand that I broke a rule and that some form of punishment may be necessary, but I would really appreciate it if the ban could be removed or, if that's not possible, shortened.
I genuinely wasn't aware that I was doing anything wrong, and I returned the chemical once I found out. My intention was never to steal it or keep it I was simply trying to do chemistry while playing as a Chemist. I hope you can take that into consideration when reviewing the ban.
Why should you be unbanned: I had no intention of stealing or keeping the chemical. I took it because I believed it was available for Chemists to use, and I immediately gave it back once I was informed that it was not allowed. I understand the rule now and can assure you that this will not happen again.
