Do you have any previous experience as a gamemaster/event manager in a community?
I was an event planner for a small community of around 40 players on Arma 3. I helped create lore for events, create scenes and organise players.
Why would you like to become a gamemaster?
I already listed a lot of the reasons in my previous application. But apart from the reasons I listed before, this time I'm more driven to help CI, as they aren't really given much event-wise, and after a while, let's be honest, CI's gameplay loop can get a little boring, so I do hope to be able to break this loop somewhat and give some unique RP and combat events to CI. I honestly believe if I do this, I could increase the overall experience players have in CI and help keep players more entertained.
What do you think you would be able to help us with on the server? Why are you special compared to the other applicants?
I believe there are several qualities that I can bring to the GM team compared to other applicants, mainly my experience. Few GMs have held roles on both MRP and SCP, which is relatively uncommon. This gives me a unique perspective, having observed how both servers operate. Additionally, with the introduction of an event server to SCP, my understanding of how MRP map changes function could prove to be immensely beneficial to creating fun and engaging map changes.
Please List 3 small event ideas (Which would involve at least one side of the server):
Event 1 > "Character Building"I wanted to create a unique experience for this event, so it is not a typical event in the normal sense; however, I believe it could still provide enjoyable RP opportunities for everyone.
With most applications requiring lore, there is a lot of character lore out there, but it's simply not used enough, and that's what I want to change. In character, I want to build on people's lore in small and subtle but RP-heavy ways. I can't say what would be added on because each lore is different, but the general idea would be through interviews or phone calls with the person questioning any inconsistencies or any possible external influence, their connection to family and any incidents before they joined the foundation.
How this event would work is fairly explanatory, you go to an application of someone online, grab the lore of their current character and look for any psych evals or more documentation about them. Next, you generate questions or emails, and then you contact the individual to continue with the roleplay as a representative from the Records Keeping Department. If any responses to the questions are suspicious, a follow up can be done in person by either External Affairs or ISD, depending on whether the issue is external or internal.
Event 2 > "Death of Creativity"The Chaos Insurgency has made significant advancements in the field of memetics, developing a new weapon designed to induce mass confusion and paranoia. This memetic is contained within a book, and simply being aware of the book's existence creates a persistent itch in a person's mind that will not leave until they read it. However, those who give in to the itch of reading the book lose the ability to maintain coherent thought for longer than 30 minutes and develop a primal fear of others. Because the memetic causes confusion and memory loss over time, individuals forget about its existence.
This event would work mainly through GM sweps and GM objectives and would only require one to two GMs to run the entire thing. The memetic hazard should contain itself after a while, stopping it from getting too out of hand like events like this tend to do, along with strictly picking who we affect and where to self-contain it. The event would end when the book is destroyed or just contained, which is unlikely to be contained due to its nature.
Event 3 > "Future Self"If you encountered your future self warning you of some eternal doom, would you dismiss what they're saying as your mind finally breaking after years of working for the foundation? Or would you listen to what they have to say? … And adopt a new purpose and follow their instructions to prevent everyone you love from dying and the world from ending?
This event would rely heavily on PAC3 to make it so only the person affected is able to see the future version of themselves. The future self would communicate through GM sweps so it can be directed at only them, and the future self's goal would be completely random, ranging from using SCPs to try to protect themselves to trying to stop certain people from doing actions that are part of their job. The goals won't be too disruptive to stop it from ruining others RP and from causing just general chaos.
Please List an map change event idea (Involving both sides and the entire server):

Map Change Event: "Circle of Life"
Ordered by Site Director Kieran Rogers – 91/B/GREEN-WHITE – AR-5
We have lost Site 91. Do not attempt any rescue, a biological weapon that was undergoing testing escaped, creating some sort of living plants that... grow and consume people. NO ONE can be allowed to leave.
O4 Command - Response Order
All personnel are to be considered compromised, and containment measures must be enacted immediately. Terminate all Class-C through Class-E personnel and move all Class-A and B personnel to the quarantine zone set up at the site entrance.
The deployment of Beta-7 has been authorised, alongside a Quick Reaction Force comprising members of specialised damage control teams.Site 91 is a high-orbit space station containing some of the most deadly viral SCPs, and recently it was sent a captured bioweapon that was taken from a raid on a Chaos Insurgency R&D facility. Due to the critical nature of this bioweapon, extra precautions were taken, however, they proved to be not enough, allowing the weapon to escape through a small crack in the containment viewing area, rendering the containment protocols ineffective. The goal of Beta-7 and the response teams would be to terminate the core of this weapon, ensure the SCPs on site are still contained, investigate exactly what went wrong, and evacuate any survivors.
For this event to at least go smoothly, it would need at least 10-20 GMs. However, I hope that the addition of the NPC system will be able to ease some pressure on the GMs. The event would be in stages, having certain areas blocked off by walls of plants that have RP objectives to unblock. Each stage will require the players to work together and think and solve the objectives as they progress in the event they can find snippets of recordings or system diagnostics and survivors to try to piece together what exactly happened. Map Link
List an example mission for each of the following (O-1, A-1, Nu-7, E-11, CI, UNGOC & Foundation Staff):
Omega 1 - "Information Leak"
Site-22 has recently reported unauthorised access to a document classified by the ethics committee. If this document were to fall into the wrong hands, it could open the committee up to blackmail or worse. And it falls to Omega 1 to locate the source of the leak and destroy the document so this doesn't happen again.
The event would require 2 to 4 Game Masters and would take place on a duplicate site on the GM plane. Omega 1 would arrive to find the site completely desolate, only lined with corpses. Parts of the overall puzzle regarding what actually happened inside the site would be littered around the area. Each new area of the site would be locked and only opened through override codes, forcing them to search around for the alternate ways into each area of the site. The event would be concluded when they eventually find the server logs and surveillance footage.Alpha 1 – "Anything and Everything"
A new anomaly has been transferred to Site 65 for research and cataloguing. This SCP is a small silver ring that, when worn, enhances the user's senses and cognitive abilities to an unprecedented level. These effects are highly valuable, so it is unsurprising that the O5 Council is interested in this SCP. However, due to its effects, it has been placed under close watch by ISD. It falls to Alpha-1 to secure this SCP discreetly, without drawing any suspicion.
This event would need 1–2 game masters to make sure it runs smoothly. Rather than simply being a scenario in which O5 acquires a powerful ring, wearing it would result in significant side effects, such as amnesia, paranoia, and, worst of all, psychosis. As well as the considerable protection from ISD, it would make it an extremely hard object to get ahold of, possibly opening possibilities of a tribunal.Nu-7 - "Tank Combat"
Site-76 has come under attack from the local chaos insurgency cell. It is imperative CI are repelled from the facility due to the sensitive nature of the documentation stored inside the site, and due to this, the deployment of a Nu-7 Armoured Battalion has been authorised to back up the onsite forces no mercy is to be taken while dealing with the enemy forces.
This event would require 1 to 2 game masters as well as 10 willing volunteers to drive the enemy tanks. If Nu7 succeeds in taking back the site, it would also fall to them to assess the damages and piece together what actually happened and if any containment cells are damaged before the full response team arrives.E-11 - "Reality Benders... Am I right?"
During a routine maintenance on the reality anchors containing TG-A and TG-B, something goes wrong, causing the anchors to destabilise, warping the fabric of reality and sucking in the maintenance staff and E11 escort. It's up to E11 to attempt to contain the situation before it gets any worse. The entire site is at risk if they can't get reality stabilised.
This event would require at least 2 to 3 game masters to run and would take place in the dark room located above D-Block, where various anomalous items will be spread around along with the faulty anchor causing the shift. The only way to leave would be through the use of a reality anchor or sealing the shift. Every couple of minutes, random items, including some anomalous ones, would appear increasingly farther away from the cells. The event would end when the reality anchor is destroyed inside the shift, which wouldn't be an effortless task with all the anomalous items spread around.CI - "Computer Computer Computer"
After careful planning and development, CI R&D has developed a new type of spyware that can circumvent the foundation's detection systems. Their objective is to infect the site's server, a task that would be challenging, given its location on F3. To achieve a successful infection of the server, they must maintain control for a duration of 10 minutes. If they manage to succeed in their objective, it would grant them temporary access to download unprotected files (nothing secret or from site command).
This event would only require one GM to run and is completely up to CI to plan and execute without TBs, Juggs or chemicals to even things out. If they succeed and manage to gain control, they would gain documents already previously agreed upon to prevent any bullshit secret documents from leaking or anything that detriments RP too deeply.UNGOC - "Never Ending Meetings"
The crucial relationship between the UNGOC and The Sidhe Lounge has begun to suffer, and the UNGOC can't afford to lose their vital intelligence, so it's important the relationship is salvaged at all costs. That's why a diplomatic party out of the Pinewood region has been dispatched to enter diplomatic discussions reiterating the benefits the relationship provides.
This event would take place on a lodge dupe on the GM plane and would require 2 Game Masters to run and a few volunteers to play some background characters, and the way the event turns out is fully up to the UNGOC and how they act. If they fail at their diplomatic mission, then they lose an ally, but if they don't, they keep the ally and gain valuable infomation
Foundation Staff - "D-Class Amnestication"
The D-Class 30-day programme has come to an end, and it is time for the monthly amnestic to be given. It is up to the Foundation staff and mainly the medical department to ensure that this process goes smoothly and without issues, but that never seems to happen, and the D-Class have seemed to catch something was up, and the usual compliance from D-Class is not there.
This event would require up to 4 to 5 Game Masters to run and would involve most of the site. A GM would play a D-Class and spread the rumour that they aren't leaving the place. This would make it a lot more difficult to actually perform the amnestication, causing GSD to need to improvise and think of solutions to get the D-Class to comply.
