How many hours can you be on everyday: Shift Worker - Varies depending on shift pattern - Average day I could dedicate 4 - 6 Hours +/-
Do you have any previous experience as a staff member in a community: I have been playing GMod for over a decade, during which I have accumulated nearly 3,000 hours of playtime. This extensive experience has given me a strong understanding of the game’s mechanics, systems, and overall functionality.
Between 2017 and 2018, I was part of a DarkRP community where I held the position of Head Administrator. The server maintained an average player base of around 32 concurrent users. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing staff operations, managing documentation, and handling human resource duties. I also supervised staff with their moderating duties in game, as well as this I also trained and mentored new trial moderators to help them develop their skills as a competent staff member. This experience allowed me to develop strong leadership, organisational, and conflict resolution skills.
A larger majority of my GMod Play time has also been dedicated to SWRP and CWRP servers. Throughout this period, I have held multiple staff positions, most recently serving as a Moderator on a British CWRP server. My responsibilities included ensuring server rules were being followed, resolving player disputes, and maintaining a fair and enjoyable environment. While rules can differ between server types, I am highly confident in my ability to adapt and uphold the required standards across different settings.
Beyond GMod, I have also held staff positions within FiveM communities. This experience has exposed myself to a variety of different staff menu's such as Lambda (FiveM Specific), allowing myself to better understand how different games operate and how to adapt efficiently between them. Although FiveM differs technically, the responsibilities remain similar—I have consistently demonstrated the ability to identify suspicious behaviour and respond promptly and effectively to rule violations, whether reported or observed.
Further on to this - I have also been a staff member in an Arma 3 Altis Life RP server, While Arma 3 is typically seen as Milsim, this server ran as a city / country with police, civilians and EMS. I held the position of Moderator a few weeks prior to the server closing, I found Arma 3 the most challenging to staff, just on the basis that the mechanics of the game being a military focus is just not set up for staffing, however I easily adapted and where appropriate I sought advice and guidance which improved my ability to efficiently operate as a staff member.
Overall, my experience across multiple platforms has strengthened my ability to remain observant, professional, and proactive while on duty. I am confident that these skills would allow me to contribute positively and effectively to CN SCP-RP as a member of the staff team.
Tell us about something that you're proud that you've achived in-game: One of my main achievements was attending a tryout for Nu-7 and succeeding with further completion of licences required to move up through the ranks. Over the next few months, I built up a good understanding of how the regiment functions and learning to take leadership where required.
I was also proud to receive a commission as a Lieutenant within Nu-7. Within this commission, I take on responsibilities of a junior CL4.
Why would you like to become a staff member: I would like to become a staff member within CN as I have been on the server for the last 4 years, I have experienced the difficulties faced by staff during high pop with balancing RP and conducting staff duties, I have applied for staff twice in the last 4 years.
A few months ago, I applied for staff and was declined for conduct both in game and on discord with this not aligning with how a staff member should act - I feel that I have learnt from this, I have changed my behaviour and acted on the best interest for myself and the server as a whole - with this change, I have obtained Lieutenant in NU-7, I have assisted individuals both inside my regiment and foundation staff as a whole.
I would like to take any opportunity to apply for staff to use the experience and exposure which I have obtained throughout the last decade on GMod and throughout different games as a staff member and provide a friendly and approachable attitude towards staffing and assisting the player base within CN.
If you could improve something on the staff team, what would it be and how would you do so: I think one of the main approaches I would see improved in the staff team is approachability, in my experience I have sometimes found that staff can come across either too strict or too relaxed and my aim is to balance this out, by being respectful and equally approachable.
