Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?

I’m applying for the Executive Researcher role because I’ve always loved the unknown of the foundation, and want to help others understand. During my time as a researcher, I’ve grown in my ability to plan projects, mentor researchers, and think under pressure.
This role feels like an easy next step for me, as it would give me the chance to contribute to the Foundation at a higher level. I’m committed to the Foundation, and I want to use my skills and experience to help lead our research personnel.

What makes you suitable for an Executive Researcher?:

I believe I’m suitable for the Executive Researcher role because of the multitude of experience, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the Foundation’s goals. I’ve spent loads of time working closely with both SCPs and teams, which has helped me develop the ability to assess situations, make informed decisions, and support the people I work with.
I’m comfortable taking on this responsibility, from leading a complex research project or guiding a team through a hard situation. I also love watching others research, helping them grow their knowledge, because I know that they can become great.
I also understand the dangers that come with my work and I am committed to the standards of ethics keeping everyone safe. My experience, and passion for what I do, makes me confident that I can be a good Executive Researcher.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written?
  • 8

What makes a document excellent?

I think what makes a document excellent is how well it communicates what needs to be said. A well written document is clear and easy to read, that helps the reader understand without getting lost or confused. It should get to the point but still provide enough detail to cover the topic completely.
As researchers work, a document isn’t just a piece of paper, it’s a tool for making sure people stay informed and safe. So it needs to be accurate, but also correct and easy to use. Whether it’s a report on a SCP or a research update, a great document should leave the reader feeling confident that they understand the situation.

What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:

An Executive Researcher’s role is to conduct and guide the research department, making sure that everything runs smoothly and safely. That means supervising researchers, ensuring experiments are conducted properly, and maintaining high standards when it comes to documentation and reporting.
Finally, it’s about keeping the Department motivated, managing dangers, and making sure that our research goals align with the Foundation’s mission to protect and contain.

Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Before joining the Foundation, Kai Stone was an independent researcher that loved searching for anomalies that most others avoided. During a major containment breach involving the highly dangerous SCP-106, Kai found himself caught in the middle. He not only witnessed the chaos directly but also managed to uncover sensitive information about the breach’s true cause. Because Kai’s knowledge was so extensive and he had demonstrated a rare ability to understand the SCP’s behavior, the Foundation faced a difficult choice. Instead of erasing his memory with amnestics like they usually would, they decided it was safer and more beneficial to bring him inside, where his expertise could be used and monitored.
Since then, Kai has been a valuable but sometimes unpredictable asset. His outside perspective brings fresh ideas, but his deep understanding of anomalous phenomena means he’s always walking a fine line between relationship and science.
