Do you have any previous experience as a Gamemaster/Event Manager in a community: No, I do not.
Why would you like to become a Gamemaster: I love creating art and stories. I've been an artist all my life and recently have started writing because of this server. I want to spark that same creativity in others and allow roleplay to flourish in more parts of the server than I can hit by just being a GOC Major. I'd like to fight to make this server more roleplay heavy and to make places where people can have fun and interact with this universe we all love so much.
What do you think you would be able to help us with on the server? Why are you special over the other applicants: The Events team can always use more hands, to make bigger and better events and story plots. I have an interest in writing and a more than capable handle on the English language. I am always asking for and attempting to work on feedback. I, personally, would also like to see an overarching plot for the server that people can influence. This would immediately make roleplay feel a bit more "real", in a sense, and allow for more immersion.
Please List 3 small event ideas (Which would involve at least one side of the server): - A heli has crash landed in the hills surrounding Pinewood, a massive plume of smoke roiling over the trees. Two bodies lie inside, mechanically augmented women whose expensive armor could not protect them from the crushing force of the Earth meeting their heli. However, there’s no body found in the cockpit. Within the hour, there’s rumors and sightings of a strange armored woman covered in blood trudging through the area.
This event is based on the Valkyries employed by Valravn, enhanced and augmented warrior women mercenaries.
- A private contractor, seemingly without any contracts, is selling her services within Pinewood. She’ll do any job for the right price and she’s certainly no Army grunt, as the dog following at her heels doesn’t look quite right…
This event would be based on the Doomed Brigade, a PMC group that uses anomalous weaponry and cybernetically enhanced dogs.
- While on a scouting mission, Hellboy was found by (insert GoI that finds him first) and taken into custody. Shortly after, the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense reaches out in an attempt to amicably retrieve their operative, before he decides to get himself out using his own methods.
This idea comes from a friend of mine, who would love to play Hellboy and I figured it might be fun.
Please List an map change event idea (Involving both sides and the entire server): After previous encounters with a mysterious entity dubbed "Aylin", the anomaly seems to finally be taking matters into her own hands. The Pinewood Forest is alive and thriving, administered to by this entity. A once powerful spirit of the forest, she and the forest have been weakened by the overwhelming amount of anomalous energy in the area and common human pollution, leading to an open invitation to the humans in the area to parley with this Queen of the Wood. Step wary, Children of Man, for while this spirit has been diplomatic so far...
She must answer to the wails of pain from the Forest first.
The map change involved would be a scene straight out of Everquest 2 (Yes, I'm aging myself with that.) A magical woodland with a throne made of twisting wood and vine for her to sit atop. Preferably, I'd have some helpers play members of her "Court", while she discusses with the Foundation, GOC, and the CI. Depending on their actions, the Forest itself might come alive in an attempt to defend itself from their firepower.
List an example mission for each of the following (O-1, A-1, Nu-7, E-11, CI, UNGOC & Foundation Staff): O-1:
- An Ethics member from another site has come over to Site-65 in order to gauge the D-Class work program, in order to decide if it should become a more widespread Foundation practice. O-1 would escort the member, as well as any other Ethics members if they’re online, as they follow along a D-Class worker and interview D-Class as to their opinion on the permits.
A-1:
- O5-5 "Blackbird" is interested in seeing Site-65. However, considering his... more than eccentric and overtly personable personality, he seems to be completely dodging attempts to be escorted and would rather walk among the site staff without the shadow of his role hanging over him. He also has a marked interest in meeting with the GoI's in the area, spelling a recipe for potential disaster. A-1 would have to make sure he remains safe in his dealings with the other groups (or, alternatively, make sure he doesn't leave the site) and site staff, while also dealing with his apparent multiple personality disorder.
Nu-7:
- A massive art installation has somehow been planted square in the middle of Pinewood. It's tagged with the infamous "Are We Cool Yet?" and has led to multiple civilian deaths. Find a way to take it down and find the artist behind it, before they kill more with their gauche "art".
E-11:
- Baby dragons! A box, hidden in one of the many forgotten rooms of HCZ, has opened, and with it, a tiny dragon hatchling (if other GMs would like to assist, multiple would hatch) has crawled from its shell and out into the world. E-11 would have to find and care for them, before they get into too much mischief.
CI:
- Insurgents from a neighboring Cell have come knocking, intent on stealing an SCP out from under Site-65’s nose. What makes these ones differ from the Pinewood Cell is the bloody runes carved into their skin and the strange shapes their body has been moulded into. They’re happy to spread their faith and magic to their fellows, in exchange for their assistance assaulting Site-65.
UNGOC:
- The Under-Secretary General herself has the Assistant Director of Field Operations of the Canada Division to the Pinewood FOB on a specific mission. Why? Because there’s so many goddamn Special Assets wandering around and it's leaving a bad taste in her mouth. An audit needs to be done, to ensure operational security and mission standards are being upheld.
Foundation Staff:
- SCP-871 has, tragically, appeared in Site-65's cafeteria. A cake that must be eaten within 24 hours (I would shorten the time frame to fit the server, obviously), or it will replicate. And considering how unused that cafeteria is...
