Do you have any previous experience as a staff member in a community: Yes I have experience moderating SCP Roblox communities. Namely, I was the lead moderator and managed the staff team for a very renowned community a few years back. During this time I learned core moderation principles, discord moderation and how to manage bias.
Tell us about something that you're proud that you've achived in-game: Ever since I've joined CI LD I've experienced very great RP and have made a bunch of friends along the way, I am happy to be apart of this community, I've learned alot such as hacking, PvP, Leadership, etc.
Why would you like to become a staff member: I want to be a staff member because I really enjoy learning new things and helping others whenever I can. I have come to enjoy and participate in this community as it has been a friendly and interesting place since I've been here, and I have really made some good friends along the way. I always take time to assist new members, and descalate conflict between players.
Back when I was a lead moderator in a Roblox SCP roleplay community, I learned a lot about how to handle ingame and Discord moderation, settle arguments, and make sure that rules are always enforced fairly. These experiences have reinforced my confidence in my ability to handle difficult situations calmly, negate any personal bias, and help my fellow staff do their jobs well.
Since joining CI LD, I have experience some quality roleplay and I built upon my hacking, PvP, and leadership skills. My improvement in these areas have made me more committed to the community, and I want to give back by helping it continue grow and facilitating a positive environment. I am passionate about making both old and new members, have a safe and enjoyable space, and Im excited by the opportunity to be able to contribute as part of the staff team.
If you could improve something on the staff team, what would it be and how would you do so: It can be difficult as a new player to understand some rules, especially more situational rules such as FailRP, while things like RDM and NLR are more straightforward. Niche rules that may not be obvious to a new player (especially new gmod players) are often confusing, especially staff rulings as new players might not be prone to immediately clicking on links on the rules page of a gmod server they just joined. If I earned the ability to be a staff member, I would make sure players fully understand the rules by clarifying doubts during sits, encouraging questions ingame and on Discord, and allocating my effort towards educating rather than punishing accidental mistakes. In a higher role, I’d help improve resources like a Staff Clarifications page and promote a staff culture that prioritizes clear explanations to prevent confusion.
