What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion would make the roles Combat Medic & Sr. Doctor semi-whitelisted.

Currently the only restrictions to the jobs are levels which you don't even need to play on medical to increase your support level (one of the better ways of increasing it has nothing to do with medical as well). This suggestion would create a stop-gap for medical leadership to be able to create & commence with further training dedicated to the roles especially given Sr. Doctor is the direct route into medical leadership.

also considering the role structure going from non-combative > Non-Combative > MTF Tier combative which is extremely free in terms of duties, Makes no sense as there is no training inline to be able to convert a doctor to a combat medic during rank levelling/promoting.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Would help filter out lacklustre players who are only there to cause issues for people.
- Would give Medical Leadership something else to do on top of allowing them to engage with the higher clearance roles of medical in a more organised manor.
- would help the general populous of CL3 medical be more professional and have the standards that need to be there.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Would limit people who aren't willing to put in the effort to learn departments and just want free access to higher clearance jobs.
- MTF's who get removed from regiments wouldn't have an easy go-to job.
- Could cause stagnation in the roles given MLT activity is down / not active during popular time zones.
- Would require a little time to setup documentation for training.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I believe this should be accepted as currently Medical, Research and containment specialist are the only roles not locked behind semi whitelisting / a regiment which. This affects medical more as quite frankly we are majorly lacking in stuff to do without external help such as GMs or more content being added in general. Yes we have next to unlimited Document RP and the occasional curing & EST but that is pretty much the bulk of it outside of passionately staring someone down as you click on them then wait 4 seconds for your click to take affect. Having Semi whitelisted CM / SD would help increase medicals efficiency in improving RP and would allow overall more engagement with each other in the dpt. For example: advanced Medical procedure training for Sr. Doctors or having set training for Combat Medics tailored to be created with the opinions of each MTF. on top of that we would be able to properly log trainings instead of in the current system we just see people in the role and hope they've been trained else every consultant will be asking every sr. doctor who randomly shows up if they've been trained, This is an extremely messy and quite frankly unprofessional way around it hence why this suggestion is being... suggested

+Support, I find the concept of having 90% of all whitelists be purely level based something that can and will lead to problems like this would fix.

The only people that benefit from not having it be whitelisted are the people who are too lazy to actually learn the systems outside of shoot gun and left click to heal people.

(I find the concept also more damaging when it comes to barring people from ranks or even joining entire communities like the MTF community without slaving away dozens of hours to reach arbitrary level requirements.)

Having to do a bunch of tryouts for each job just to unlock something you'll play as for a short while, doesn't make a lot of sense. In the same way, we could ask to make Sr. Researcher whitelisted, or even thaumatologist, which would ruin the entire gameplay of the department.

However I do understand the reasoning behind it and agree that it could do something good. I'd do a 1-5 week trial run.

Hi @Dinklesprinkle,

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion. While the merit is understood, the level requirements are already considerably high and we do not believe there is a need to enable the !jobapprove or similar for the jobs.

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as denied.
