Sledge's identity is Peter Collins, born in the state of Ohio, a police officer who went into the US Army and became Military Police and eventually ended up in site 65 where he'd join GSD and climb up the ladder into Internal Affairs. A catholic at heart who barely reads the bible and takes matters into his own hands, he doesn't hesitate to detain anyone who breaks the law, even those higher above him.

He prefers the name Sledge, after his comrades gave him the name.

"Sledge" is a vampire believed to be from Eastern Europe. He's claimed to be roughly 300 years old although there are no records proving this. He's supposedly served in the British army during The American Revolution, The Confederacy during the early stages of The American Civil War, The Union towards the end of the war, and Served in the US Army during WWI & WWII. His eyes are red, and have been seen to be yellow as well. Normally his eyes display a dark shade of red, but when thrown into a traumatic or near-death situation, his eyes have turned a shade of yellow, and will remain yellow until he has recovered completely from the event(s).

It's been discovered that "Sledge" is not the only one of his "kind". In order to save his life, and the life of his partner, who is also a vampire, he's given us the location of his origin, a small hamlet located in [REDACTED] Romania. This location is completely devoid of life, and the previous inhabitants lived in a communal society, with very limited technology yet vast knowledge in human history/technological advancement. It seems they preferred a simple lifestyle similar to that of the Amish, but unlike Sledge, they were extremely hostile to any uninvited guests. Turns out Sledge didn't really care for them given that fact, and was not only happy to hear of their disposal, he was happy to be given a deal in which it seemed to only benefit him.

Sledge's Vampirism, according to him, is the reason why he has supposedly lived for as long as he has. Of course, there is no proving any of this given the fact there is no documentation or any sort of evidence proving his existence during those times, and it's especially hard due to him using false identities to conceal his condition. According to Sledge, he only recently decided to come clean to the foundation and express his condition. The more blood he drinks, the easier it is for him to blend in, vice versa. Given he worked in an underground secret facility concerning the paranormal, he was under the impression it wouldn't be a big concern, especially since he has proven his worth being CL 4 personnel, that was very much not the case. After Sledge got kidnapped by O-1 and Site Command learned of his potential danger to the foundation and humanity, he was given a choice, lose the vampirism, or be contained. Obviously neither appealed to him, and he protested, demanded tribunal, whatever leverage he could take, but it wasn't going to happen. After a long debate on whether what options he was allotted, he agreed to a new choice: Undergo treatment to remove his more aggressive side, maintain his PTSD, and not "spread the disease" any further. Fortunately for Sledge, this was a win-win scenario, given he couldn't give anyone his gift anyway, and the one thing about him that he despised was going to save him from becoming imprisoned.

It is recommended not to ask about his war stories, its an unnecessary risk that does not need to be taken and for little benefit. He's known to go insane and not listen to reason or discern friend from foe when he undergoes the following: A life threatening situation, A traumatic experience, reminded of a traumatic experience, or he has reason to believe one of his friends/loved ones is in danger. No matter how many guns you point at him, he will lash out and be considered a violent threat.

Sledge has a special interest when it comes to captured members of the Chaos Insurgency, often requesting a "nice conversation" with them before their body is later found in the breach shelter, with very little blood left to clean up. We later learned he purposefully expunged data regarding a former combat medic "foxwell". We only became aware of this issue after consulting a medical director regarding inconsistencies within the combat medic personnel roster, one was missing and assumed AWOL. Sledge later confessed to covering up the information because he was close friends with her before she defected to the Insurgency. His actions weren't meant to be treasonous as to covering her up, rather a way for him to cope with his loss mentally. Since then he has been offering Nu7 and DEA large sums of money for her capture or any information on her. It's advised to not allow Sledge anywhere near captured members of the insurgency, as it is an unusual, cruel, and arguably unwarranted punishment, not to mention it isn't his job. However... if we do ever need someone to get information out of them, he isn't a bad choice, just know he has personal feelings that may intervene with the interrogation.

More on Sledge's condition, he has the ability to take form of whoever he.. siphons from. We don't know if it's by choice or out of his control, just know his eyes will remain the same along with his voice. If you see Sledge take the form of any influential foundation staff, report it immediately. Sledge is NOT permitted to do this under any circumstances. In the event he is needed to disguise himself without using his standard issue disguise kit, he will be given an alternative, his condition should be considered the very last option to opt for as a precaution.
