Why are you applying for Security Captain?
Apart from the belief that I am suitable for the position (more below), I think I am ready to go up the RP ranks and become more noticeable as an RP lead as I've been an (active) Sergeant for a week, give or take.
Moreover, I'm also having quite some fun on GenSec, which is why I've been pretty active on it currently as a GSD sergeant.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?
As I re-joined the server about 2-3 weeks ago, I've been grinding very hard as an SRU to show that I'm responsible to become a Sergeant, and I believe I've continued to show promising activity and RP which I believe tick the requirements to become a GSD Captain.
Another aspect to consider is my overall experience in the server. I've been an SCP RP player since December 2022, and although initially I've actually been a minge, I've become more and more involved in the server such that I eventually became an IA ambassador, ISD commissioner, Nu-7 CSG, ECA, and so on. I think I hold good knowledge on how the server works overall, and I think I'm competent enough to be a captain (as demonstrated by my activity as a SRU and then Sergeant).
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?
The responsibilities include;
MANAGEMENT
- Handling CL-4 site controls (blastdoors, EZ big emergency room, AA, lights, etc)
- Reporting to the chain of command (Chiefs), such as when issues arise
- Running the chiefs' (or above) orders if there are any
- Managing interdepartmental relationships with GSD
- Overseeing the department, praising or punishing GSD members (e.g. !credit, PT, jobban at worst)
- Overseeing D-block, a task I'd regard critical as a few other RP loops (research, d-class, work program) depend on this one job GSD has
- Managing Sergeants, such as scouting and promoting members to Sergeants or demoting Sergeants that abuse on their job
OPERATIONS
- Guiding the department, such as providing trainings or teaching cadets how to use their E and R muscles
- Tryouts for RCT and HWL, which is another crucial task as this is the main way players can get these licenses
- Creating and maintaining GSD operations
- Authorising, leading and maintaining D-block sweeps should it be necessary (TB, unrest d-class, post-raid)
- Authorising and signing D-class work permits
- Assigning and engaging in duties, such as patrols and d-block
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in
1. I've been here for over a month now, I'm becoming so impatient. Glad no one has spotted me yet. I don't know how much left I have until they find me, and I'm running out of food supply. Rats are all I've got left.
2. I'm hearing lots of gunshots from below these vents. I suppose they're being raided. Maybe this is my chance to escape, and shine. Ugh, I wish I had a pistol. I could have captured the attention of the ones raiding.
3. I found this shotgun, with which I somehow managed to murder one of those bastards. However, my arm has been shot, so I had no option but to painfully walk to where I think the good guys come from. Luckily, they spotted me. They escorted me out and took me to safety.
4. Ugh.. they have offered me a job inside an underground facility. Apparently, it was unbelievable for a civilian to murder so many of them. I guess I accepted the deal. My family's dead, anyway. So far, I'm being given tours before starting my first practical task. I'm not going to lie, this.. military base looks pretty interesting.
5. Ah bullshit. Now they're telling me that these big rocky walls have been built to "contain" these supposed strange anomalies? Who takes these guys seriously?
6. I'm in shock.
7. My only duty now is to serve the Foundation. I shalt perform the duties required to handle the facility's General Security.
ASSIGNMENT REQUEST FOR STANISLAV XAUKSAIN
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN UKRAINIAN SSR
ASSIGN TO JOB GENERAL SECURITY CAPTAIN
REQUEST AUTHORISED BY SITE-65 ADMINISTRATION
SYNOPSIS: Male human of Soviet origin. Two anomalous specimens have been recovered from the GoI ██████ ██████████ while SOP operatives were raiding one of their bases in ██████████ █████, Siberia. DNA analysis confirmed the man's origins to relate to the area of the Ukrainian SSR. Upon countless investigations, the man has completely refused to elaborate, literally resisting most DEA-approved interrogation techniques. Apart from winter-ready clothing and enemy weaponry, the subject has only been found to have carried a diary which seems to contain a summary of the man's thoughts for the last seven days, in a past-tense, first person format. It has been kept locked under the supervision of ███ ██████████. Due to the anomalous effects the diary seems to have, we have marked both the man and the diary as one entity, awaiting for an SCP designation. Further tests have shown that, given that the man's thoughts can be predicted, they can also be manipulated by writing commands on the diary. Given the man's earlier wish to escape, we have concluded that the GoI may not have discovered the diary's manipulation ability. Dr. ██████ ███ █████████ has suggested that the man gets put to good use, and that General Security may perhaps be a suitable place for him. Training has been provided just by writing instructions in the diary, which, as the research team predicted, has made the subject skilled in combative and leadership roles. Due to the diary's and the subject's anomalous property, the subject has been directly assigned to a Captain slot for Site-65.
