I put the new Forgis on the Jeep
Alright, can we FINALLY make a decision on who will get NWO MAR? this may come off as rash however its quite pathetic at this point. You have left the team without a leader for months on end with the alluded intention to promote the worthy candidate when this update released.

I wont ramble too much but I just want to make it clear that this is getting ridicules that one still has not been chosen and its going to get to this point with UAN as well once the relevant time frame has matched NWO's non-MAR timeframe.

Respond with what you want, I would like to hear the MRP communities opinion on this topic and if its agreed that both sides need an official leader (especially NWO considering how long its been). The intention of this thread is to get a response or an action from MRP SL on this matter.

#doofy4GRMS (SL rip)

@Falcon if for some reason you read this, dm me on discord if you want more detail on why I made this post. (@Bogdan is useless)

Alright, as the last leader of the USSR (now NWO) I feel I should have a little input in this.

I was offered the opportunity to step down when I desired to by Cloak after I resigned from SGM following a string of irritatingly run events. The plan was to resign a few weeks ahead, this was then pushed to a month or two into the new update, to me not even going to leave at all. Then Afghan came and utterly decimated the work I had done to revive and stabilise the USSR up to that point. I decided to take the offer of an instant resignation there and then so I could focus on IRL work and issues.

I did not take this decision lightly, I adored leading that team, I may whinge about it but being given that mantle of responsibility for almost half the server was, unironically, one of the better parts of my life. I met a lot of great people, and sometimes had a lot of great fun.

I've heard rumour that the SL/NL team aren't happy with how I left, which is understandable I guess, but I would not have left had I known this would be how long it would take to replace me. At the time, Dmitri was natural successor as Jack was a relatively new GEN, I spent a little while training him on how to deal with certain situations, but not enough for me to have been fully confident in him leading on his own, so I stepped down to FSB COL for a while before fully resigning.

I resigned because, simply put, I was given another job, 65 hour work weeks - I did not have the time to commit to a team nor a regiment. I hate leaving, sometimes I wish for nothing more than to have my position back and actually take this team by the balls and force it in the right direction, but I just do not have time for it anymore. I also left when there was ah healthy UHC team to take up the slack with me leaving, I would not have left to purposefully damage the team in any capacity.

This has led to a problem, I left a power vacuum behind which has not yet been filled. Jack and Dmitri are both long standing Generals (or whatever the rank equivalent is), Dmitri had 1:1 tutelage by myself but Jack is more representative of the vision I had for the NWO, as well as having more experience in leading wars, and leading a team. A large part of the current state of SC is my fault, but as a lowly PVT I am powerless to give my input on how to fix things other than the occasional forum complaint and suggestion.

NWO needs a leader, it needs a leader who can take it, make it their own and have a clear, independent vision on how to shape that team. This was very much going to be MY team, I wrote the lore, I was going to lead, I was going to shape this side into a dark, aggressive powerhouse of a team. Currently, as things stand, Jack has the closest understanding to how I wanted things to be, so, despite what I said in my resignation announcement, he would have my support.

This is nothing against Dmitri, I know he's a great guy and a good friend to me when I was SC, but I hear he spends a lot of time on staff, and I'm not quite sure if he understands what my vision is.

Furthermore, we need someone who can challenge SL to make changes where it would benefit the team. As a leader, you get a top-down view of all of it, being staff and being the leader of a team is mutually exclusive, you can not be both without sacrificing the interests of the other. I was, as Falcon said, a brash and reckless GRM (in the context of not obeying protocols) - but I got things done, I made things better, I wasn't perfect by any means, but I knew what to do, and when to do it. Jack has that capability.

My word carries a lot of weight in the community still, as demonstrated by how I can organise crowds of people on my arresting adventures as a PVT in base. I know how it works, I know how the USSR/NWO works, I know it. It sounds arrogant and brash, but I know what I'm talking about, I knew what was good for the team then, and I know what is good for it now. And what is good for the team is giving it a leader with a vision.

That'd be Jack (provided he can be active once his exams are over).

tl;dr

I made a mistake resigning so early and I regret it, I caused damage that has taken months to repair and now the NWO is in DIRE need of a leader that can take it forward. Please fix.

In order for NWO to fully strive it needs someone to supervise it as a whole i.e a leader.
The current situation with just having a few SC handle it together is working, but it will fail horribly in the long run.

Someone needs to be appointed, ASAP.
