What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:

I am applying to be an Ethic committee Member.

So i have played on the server since december 2024 but in the beginning my first goal was to become nu7 because i had friends who were nu7. After becoming nu7 i found it very boring because of just the shooting so i took a break for a bit while still being nu7 i came back.

I was very lucky and an O1 asked me if I was still interested in O1 and later I became O1. And there I experienced real roleplay by some great ecc and ecm like Remmy, Broda and Scepter who showed me the real side of rp on this server and not just the combat.

So the reason I want to become a ECM is because I want to do this stuff for new players to show a good side of RP which I hope can make new players start playing and old players have fun.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
I am very dedicated to what I'm part of and have been rising quickly in O1 and at a point it was only me, Yoru and Smoke as Cos of O1. It was very stressful since I was new to Co but I was able to get through it. And when I was on LOA I created a fun RP thing for O1. It didn't go as planned but was very fun. The idea was to put a brain chip in my O1 character because I sorta got lobotomised. It sadly ended with me getting the brain chip but 5 O1 got killed.

Right with help from a lot of people I'm creating a GOI for O1 that would be against ethics. Concord of Humanity i have gotten it into the server recently and will get more and more with it and then some events. I will of course do this even if i get accepted then i could also do some stuff as ECM.

I am very active and gotten very good with rp. I can both do spot on rp where im good at improvising and keeping calm, but also good at planning rp like the Concord of Humanity. I even do stuff when I'm on Loa (definitely healthy) constantly active.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:

  • Advisory body for the foundation and the O5 council
  • Maintaining fixing and even adding stuff to the FLC
  • Removing a O5 and worst case removing the entire council (Primary action)
  • Managing the Ethic committee assistants
  • Helping manage Omega-1 when it's necesary.
  • Doing or supporting audits.
  • Authorize AA in a breach if it's needed.
  • Authorizing Code Black to get everyone out of site if it's necessary.
  • Calling in ERT if the breach is too bad.
  • Activating the Alpha Warhead as a last resort.
  • Authorizing Mass Termination of D class when it's necessary.
  • Authorizing site wide amnestics for a big info breach.
  • Do Tribunals.
  • Keeping an eye both on ISD and Omega-1
  • Being a good public figure people can talk to
  • Following the “cold not cruel”
  • Make sure that people think that the ethic committee are weak and are just paper pushers.



What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):

  • Ethic Committee Member applications
  • Ethic Committee Assistant applications
  • Fixing a new Omega-1 Commander and sometimes LTCOM
  • Director of ISD applications

  • Talking to Site advisors and O5 about stuff that needs fixing in an OOC way.
  • Of course other departments too.
  • Then general stuff that affects the site.
  • When you are FCom you have to manage a lot around the site if anything would happen like a mass resignations happens then its the FComs job to help.

Well i have done a lot of general rp like cross departmental. But right now I'm working on a GoI called Concord of Humanity. It has become cross departmental but also still working on it. Then of course smaller rp more general rp and have some stuff planned soon to get medical and possibly sa involved.

Hello Porkchop. I do understand you are wanting to achieve CL5. And i do think you would be good for a ECM. Except theres the flaws.

1. Currently. As a ECA i'm yet to see you really create any own RP.
2. Currently. I am seeing the same problem with you as a Captain of Omega-1.
3. Your application does lack a lot. Its really tightly made all the descripitions. And to see as "What is the responsibilites of an ECM In Character?" You really just put some quick ones. Don't get me wrong these are what you do yes, but its still not showing as the.. Most confidential.
4. In the "What is the responsibilites of an ECM OOC?" There is a problem. Ethics Doesn't control Site Administration, or its not their main responsibility. Thats for The Overseers.
5. This is something what i got feedback from Broda when my Ethics Member Application was denied. You really lack doing any long lasting RP. Or more direct RP. Don't get me wrong the Concord GOI what you are doing right now is a good thing yes, it makes RP for O1.
6. I'm yet to see any Major RP generated by you. Most i can see is some small passive RP. Don't get me wrong Passive RP is great. But I believe you should do more Direct and impactful RP for the people of the server.
7. MTF CO is a great push towards for Foundation Command. But i believe at the moment if you do want to get to ethics. You should maybe get some other CL4 Experience too. Like maybe ISD Inspector to get you some CL4 feeling from there. As it pushes a lot more towards ECM and their duty.

That is all, I won't be leaving a -/+Support. As i almost never give supports or -Supports. As instead i give them advice.

Can i get specifics? As right now, you aren't giving me a lot to work with.

You've got no say in the result of this application so I am unsure what you are "working with" here, Harvey.


The application:
It is lacking heavily porkchop and I do know you have a very creative approach to situations but the application is just a major let down to your understanding of the Committee.

You highlight some aspects of what The Ethics Committee do but it needs elaboration. I think you'd make a good Ethics Member in due course, or hell, even this time around, but you need to get your knowledge on paper and show the existing Committee you have that acceptable level of understanding.

You are a good lad Porkchop, I do wish you all the best and if you need any resources to read regarding Ethics, just let me know via a reply here.

Broda, I am trying to get an idea of someone who is applying for ECM and who is a potential candidate to become a key part of the Committee, which I am an ECA in, if you really must know. Really it wasnt necessary for you to respond in such a way, as all i was trying to do is get the most out of what work he has done before giving my support, as i like to ensure i have all the details.

Whilst I think you are a good person and one that is capable of good work, I think you lack the administrative experience which is required for ECM, Now I am not blatantly saying go for a Dpt head/commander role, or even SA. Really, I think working more in O-1 and even aiming to become a part of O-1 REGCOM would really be an opportunity to show your abilities within O-1 as a key figure, a part of managing the regiment, and if you were to continue creating great RP as you have done in O-1 already, I believe you could have a solid chance. You are a nice person to be around, and no matter how this application goes, I believe you will have many opportunities down the road.

I think the reason Broda called you out wstas because your approach was rather rude and provocative. It's intereing to see you're trying to use the fact you're holding the ECA role as some sort of insane flex to try one-up somebody who holds more Roleplay merit than you presently do. You misconstrue the idea that 'supporting' somebody with their application holds any merit - if you see a lack of Roleplay engagement or the application doesn't detail it then you can provide feedback but I don't really think you're at all obligated to make people "work with you" when you're interrogating them about their Roleplay ability, especially with consideration to yours.

Thank you it means a lot i would love to get more lore and other information. I do know i have a bit of problem explaining everything, any help would be greatly apprechiated. :)
 
I will say you have a good amount of potential, but at the moment I don't think you're ready for ECM yet. Try to make some of your own rp and of course the advice Broda left for you. I do believe in the future you will make a great ECM. Nonetheless best of luck on your app man!
 
Hey dude

I've worked closely with you in O1 and when you play ECA. You hold the potential for ECM and you're a great guy, it's just like Broda said. Getting it down on paper.

You do good RP and make good stuff for the regiment E.G Concord and Sanitarium which both turned into long term story lines for O1 and the entire site

I think you can make a good ECM.

What are some things you want to do to help new players have fun and get into RP?

Just curious if you do already have some ideas, or is this more of a goal you're planning to work on in the future?
