Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
There are a few reasons as to why I am applying for executive researcher, the first is my want to increase inclusivity within testing. Currently within the server research has actually been doing amazing compared to the last couple years with RSD numbers up, with proper tests and projects underway that are genuinely entertaining and engaging, I want to support this trend by also doing my own tests and projects which include as many others in them and becoming an executive would help with completing that goal. Additionally I would also like to increase interdepartmental involvement within testing and projects so that more and more players can be included and that we can increase researches popularity so that others are more likely to play research or get involved with the research department whilst on other jobs, one way that I am actively going about this already is with a project I am currently trying to get underway which includes direct involvement with ETS, DEA and MC&D with others such as SA and SC being partially involved however I am still attempting to include other people in it as well even if it is just minor ways or just one off engagements.
Another reason why I want to become an executive researcher is that I would like to assist with the leadership side of the department in supporting the department and the current directors. There only seems to be roughly 3-4 active CL4 members, as such a lot of requests and work has been burdened on the few people in those positions, for example I have seen researchers consistently requesting morikas's aid for something, admittedly so have I but this has been as a result of the lack of CL4 meaning there is little to no alternatives when requiring a CL4s assistance on a matter in game. Additionally I would like to assist with helping out the other researchers whilst in a CL4 position so that they can have more people to speak with for their needs such as approving tests, gaining feedback on their documents or just general assistance all around.
The last reason I wish to become an executive researcher is so that I can move my way up the ladder in research and also gain access to other roleplay avenues and opportunities such as more ease with testing on CL4 SCPs and the ability to represent the research department on roleplay matters. I would not only use this to my own benefit but I would also use it to try and involve other RSD members so that they can get a taste in these matters so that they are given more opportunities for collaboration and so that they can get a good look into CL4 should they ever wish to strive for a CL4 position.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
I believe myself to be a suitable applicant for executive research because of a couple of reasons. The first reason I believe myself to be suitable for executive is because of my roleplay abilities, as of recent I have really been big on being RP heavy with my research character Dr.Tristan O'Neill and have been on a constant drive for creating roleplay interactions with others and participating/joining on-going roleplay. An example of this would be an interaction I made between myself and an ECA (plus a couple O-1) during the time in which the DORs were considered traitors and Yarrick was executed, this interaction was made because of Tristans belief that something more was going on between the DORs and floor 3, as such I played it off as Tristan being slightly suspicious as if he was worried/afraid of the ECA and O-1 finding out about his beliefs and dropped hints at this for them to pick up, which they did, allowing them to interact further with Tristan and begin a roleplay scenario that lasted roughly 20-25 minutes and was enjoyed by those involved. I have further demonstrated my ability to RP with my current project, instead of simply going ahead and trying to do my project myself I have reached out and actively attempted to go through all the realistic loops one would need to go through for such a project and enlisted assistance for the project in RP which has also given others opportunities to engage and interact with it.
The second reason I believe to be a suitable member for executive researcher is due to my experience within research itself and as CL4 overall. I have been in research since the server first opened and started doing testing as a junior researcher a long time ago back when the limits on the server were non-existent and you could test on any SCP you liked including CL4s as a junior so long as you a CL4s permission, I had the opportunity to carry out all sorts of tests and interact with the CL4s at that time witnessing the development of the department and how it has changed over the years. I have also been in a CL4 position multiple times and know the basics for being a CL4 member, you need to be a teacher/mentor to others in your department, create RP scenarios for people to participate in and run/manage a department along with a spew of other duties.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written?
I have wrote a few in the past however as of recent I haven't really been uploading many documents more so keeping hard copies for repeated use in cabinets, the only excellent grade document I can remember partly was a project line of 939 tests to develop additional ways to combat 939 using weapons that create soundwaves to disorientate and incapacitate them.
What makes a document excellent?
Over time the requirements for an excellent grade document have increased more and more, originally it was simply haveing the classic trio of aim method and result plus something innovative however in todays standard if I were grading a document this is what I would say is needed from a normal testing document:
Unique test, all tests must be unique and not something that has been clearly done recently, obviously tests from 6+ months ago would not be included especially if it is a new player unaware of what tests have occurred in the past.
The test must have a clear goal to achieve, whether it be to discover new information about an SCP or testing for new containment methods, etc...
The test must be well written with proper SPAG checks to ensure the document is cohesive and presentable, additionally index pages are useful especially for larger documents.
The result of the test must be something of genuine benefit performing a test such as finding out how many sugar cubes can 999 eat is a non beneficial test.
The document itself must have something innovative outside of the standard document guidelines such as the addition of new pages with added details outside of example papers.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
Within RP executive researchers must assist department directors with managing the research department, acting as a point of contact for other departments, approval of tests and grading of documents uploaded to scripent, teaching/mentoring other researchers, supervising CL4 tests by CL3 or below researchers, handling misbehaviour within the department including potential job bans.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
