Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: A single warning for Mixing. Was when I discussed PAC3 in a in-character environment. Was a simple mistake, not to be done again.
-
What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why: Ethics Committee Member. Now, why would I take up the role? Perhaps madness, perhaps a desire to see where things go, or maybe I just want to put my hat in the ring and really see what change I can make in this Foundation. Omega-1 and the Ethics Committee have never done me harm, and quite honestly, I want to give back.
-
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?: I have been here for long enough to have seen things that would make the average person experience a mindbreak event. Through everything, I still remain. There have been times where I question the words of my bosses, the Committee Members, and even the Overseers, as to why things are the way they are. I am not afraid to speak out, to speak up, and to do my best to implement change. I learn and I adapt, I listen and I ask for both sides of a story, I compromise and when necessary I take action. I don't want to speak highly of myself, instead I want my actions to speak for me. While I am not the best candidate, I am willing to step up and try to mold myself as such.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?: Within RP, ECM's handle a wide variety of tasks. They use their strong knowledge of the FLC to enforce it with the assistance of the Internal Security Department and Omega-1, conduct Inspections on departments when deemed necessary to operations, observe tests done by members of the Research Department, hold the O5 accountable passively when it is deemed necessary, work on changes to the FLC when advisable, act as a Judge for Tribunals, help manage ISD Directorate, help manage ECA's, ensure Ethical treatment of D-Class personnel, manage On-Site crisis situations with the means available to them, organize events with the O5 for storylines, listen to personnel whom present complaints regarding Ethical violations, and overall just act as a face of the Ethics Committee. They also present orders for Assistants to conduct, ensuring their will can be done even when not available.
-
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?): Out of Character, applications that the Ethics Committee handles would be that of the Internal Security Department Directorate, and Ethics Committee Assistants. They also handle external complaints, converse with their respective teams in external communications, and collaborate with notices and information.
-
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:
After entering Foundation service in 2014 as a member of the Internal Affairs team, it took two years for Asteria Silver to be chosen for a special opportunity within the Internal Security Department. After acceptance, he was sent to Los Angeles, California to the ISD Processing Center, in which he took a year-long course in basic arithmetic, advanced studies of the English language, advanced psychology, advanced sociology, camouflage, and marksmanship. Additional training occurred with a Boot Camp course, which took another 6 months and sent him to Fort Leonard Wood, whereas he partook in One Station Unit Training. After the near two year deployment for training, it wasn't until 2017 in which he was properly assigned to Site-56, serving with the Internal Security Department Undercover Division. Two more years of operation took place there, until Site-65 reassignment took place in 2021, whereas he was placed into the Internal Security Department Uniformed Division. In 2023, Internal Affairs was re-changed to merge with the ISD, at which point the Site-65 ISD Uniformed Divison Site-based Asset Security Group was merged into the grander ISD.
In 2024, Asteria took up post as an Ambassador, before becoming an Investigator in 2025. It was during 2025 in which he was selected for service within Nu-7 "Hammer Down", which after achieving SNCO ranking within Nu-7, a selection process for Omega-1 "Laws Left Hand" took place in which "Asgard" was formed. After a while, he returned to normal service in ISD after a relatively comfortable time within O-1. Additional time was spent within other task forces, such as Epsilon-11 "Nine Tailed Fox", where he met Grace Faldas, who became a good friend. In the year 2026, Asteria decided to take on a name change, becoming Astralria Moonstone as a way to help cover some tracks of the past.
After acceptance into the Ethics Committee as an Assistant, I spent time learning the ropes of the Committee. Working alongside ECA Crow and other valuable Assistants, I worked to put forth actual change. Whether that be working alongside Internal Security for various arrests as an advisory body, witnessing audits, or simply listening to the concerns of personnel in a one-on-one setting, I found myself genuinely enjoying the role and the power I had to impact real change. Now, I seek further advancement, which whom knows how that may go.
-
A small side note, best of luck to all who apply. And, to Jack Connolly whom has left us (not died just left the Ethics Committee), I want to especially thank you for giving me the chance to join in the first place, along with the rest of the Committee. Whatever happens, we shall see, but I am excited nonetheless.
