For how long have you played on CG SCP:
Started around early may 2022, it’s been just over a year I’ve been playing here
Age:
17
In what country are you located?:
UK
Time zone:
GMT/BST
Character name(s):
Bill N. "The Grape Guy" (Foundation)
Bill N. "The Chaos Guy" (CI)
Civilian name:
Gerald G. "The Goop Guy"
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA):
SCP-RP UK
Do you have a mic?:
Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
CI-C DELCOM (Holding, 10 months), Delta & Below approx 3 months
Nu-7 CSG (Held, 4 months), SGT & Below approx 3 months
SCP 096, IA, Intel Agent before it was replaced with DEA
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
All server warns are long since expired, i have 1 active GM infraction, it's unrelated to anything IC (can give more details if needed)
Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I've played pretty much everything on this server void ISD and SA. Since no longer being part of Nu-7 I've pretty much only played CI for over 6 months, and even when I did play Nu-7 my interactions were very often just on surface (main exception being 10/12 and HH). In the past few weeks I've been playing more and more Foundation jobs, and Riot Sergeant is really fun. Captain seems like the next step to do stuff more related to my Foundation Character.
As a D-class, it's also really annoying to report any unethical gensec. I want to make this easier to do as I know firsthand how tedious it can be.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
In terms of combat, I've been a CO in CI for 10 months now. Leading Delta Ops and Strike Teams with deployable shields in elevator & corridor pushes is literally identical to pushing a team of RRT into D-Block so I've already got the experience for leading sweeps there.
I used to main D-class and as a result I pretty much know all of the rules of Gensec like the back of my hand already (if you wanna report them to IA you gotta know what rules they've broken). I know firsthand that it's very annoying to get a complaint about any gensec through so I want to focus on making this easier. I'll be keeping a keen eye on all lower downs to make sure they aren't doing unspeakable acts to anybody.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
Keeping gensec in check
Keeping D-block in check, and retaking control of it if this happens
Setting an example for lower downs in gensec
Ensuring gensec are conducting themselves ethically
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Famous engineer Bill N██ had just signed a contract with the television channel "Science & Comedy Programs", who had a suspiciously good gig set up for him. A generous salary, free housing in a sleepy town in Canada, and more. He packed his bags and went off to Pinewood.
Once he got there he was welcomed by a giant military base labelled "SCP". Must be a pretty cool set. He walked in and got his orientation, realising why there were so many companies named "SCP".
Being a researcher for the foundation had its perks- he was rich, famous, smart, but most importantly, bored.
One night, SCP 076 managed to breach containment. Thinking it only wanted to attack somebody worthy of fighting it, he ran past thinking nothing of it. What he didn't expect was for 076 to chase him and shout about their legendary battle. Scrounging an MP5 from a dead cadet he blindly shot in 076s general direction, managing to break 41 of his bones. Somehow. Seems like he had a natural affinity with guns.
Realising this he knew that a more combat & defence oriented position in the Foundation would be for him, and after a long stay in Nu-7 he ended up defecting to the Insurgency, where he would become a part of Delta Command (their salary was much better). His knowledge of the Site proved valuable to High Command, and he ended up becoming an on-site mole, re-entering the facilty under the guise of an extended vacation. Extended background checks from applying to Site Admin and Command meant they would find out his true nature if he applied for them, so knowing his combat capabilities and wanting to lie low he decided to join Gensec, as he was known and trusted by many of them from his time as a researcher. Slowly but surely he began rising in the ranks until he saw a vacant locker in the Captains' quarters.
