Why are you applying for Site Advisor?:
I am applying for Site Advisor because I feel ready to tackle Site-65 and its problems. After spending time as Inspector and Commissioner in Internal Security, I have gained a valuable insight into the inner-workings of the site, and thus information which can greatly improve department efficiency and safety. It has also been a personal goal of mine to improve department functionality across the entire site without disrupting the chain of command. Due to my work with other inspectors, commissioners, and ISD CL3s, I have gained brilliant communication skills that will assist in my goal. Furthermore, this role lets me move away from site enforcement and the management of a single department and closer to shaping the direction of the site and mentoring departments into becoming the best of their ability.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:
I believe I am suitable for the position of Site Advisor as I have gained a lot of experience during my tenure as both Commissioner and Overseer Assistant. My close workings with the Overseer Council and work with departmental relations within Internal Security have allowed me to develop great communication skills, thus aiding in my ability to converse with departments and find out what they need to improve. Furthermore, as the second documentation management leader within ISD and the operations as OSA requiring sufficient documentation to be filled out, I have gained an unparallel amount of experience in documentation writing. This will benefit the site administration team as I will be able to document incidents across the site and report on departmental liason communications. Additionally, my experience has taught me how to coordinate between teams and resolve conflicts diplomatically while respecting the chain of command. I am committed to fostering collaboration and helping Site-65 run efficiently and safely.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
The responsibilities of a Site Advisor are vast and usually revolve around administrative tasks for the site. Some examples of these responsibilities are outlined below.
- Overseeing Departments and Monthly Department Liaison: Every month, each member of site admin is tasked with monitoring and liaising with a department. During this month, they must report on the department's efficiency, while trying to support them in areas they are struggling in.
- Appointing Department Directors: Site Administration is tasked with appointing new department directors for certain departments when they aren't currently filled. These departments include Medical, External Affairs, Security Chief, Nu-7 Commander, and E-11 Commander.
- Assisting with GOI Relations: Site Administration is also tasked with approving GOI into the Site.
- Authorising D-Block Sweeps: During an active code 2, Site Administration is able to approve D-Block sweeps for General Security Staff.
- Authorising Advanced Armoury: During an active code 5, Site Administration is able to approve Advanced Armoury for MTF units.
- Authorising Passive SCP Breaches: During certain code 5 scenarios where SCPs breach but are in a passive state, Site administration is able to authorise a passive breach, allowing the SCP to roam site freely without requiring MTF units to contain the SCP.
- Organising Site during a Code Black: During an active code black, site administration is tasked with organising the movement of site to ensure the safety of non-combative personnel
- Organising Policy changes: Site administration is also tasked with maintaining and changing site policies to ensure the site runs efficiently and without error.
- Leading RP: As a senior CL4 member, you are tasked with leading roleplay for the casual members of site.
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Brayan Murry started work with the SCP Foundation in quiet determination and eagerness for adherence to procedure. He began as an Investigator. Reports about his abilities soon surfaced that he was the man who could see those patterns most usually missed by others piecing together scattered reports, cross-referencing records, and spotting inconsistencies. When properly addressed, this would indicate much deeper problems within operations. Senior staff noticed his detailed work and calm disposition; he was promoted to Inspector within a few years.
In that position, Murry started getting famous for his calm ways of resolving extremely volatile situations. When conflicts between departments became intense, he could act as a mediator without pushing any side away from him, and thus earn the trust of Security Officers and Research Directors on both sides. His balanced approach to enforcement — firm when necessary but always rooted in fairness — made him a valuable asset. He finally got an appointment as Commissioner, in which he was supposed to have oversight over several departments simultaneously. It is at this point that he came up with the notion that leadership works best when it supports rather than controls those under its care.
Murry would carry on this philosophy as Site Advisor. His storylines were based on both external and internal challenges — negotiations with GOIs to help lead Site-65 through internal reform. He’d also be a big hand in longer-term things like helping standardise SCP testing documentation across departments, laying down even clearer interdepartmental communications protocols, and working up rapid-response teams when there’s a big anomaly.
High-level diplomatic negotiations with hostile GOIs on behalf of the Foundation probably constitute some of Murry’s more dramatic activities. He leads ‘Operation Iron Veil’ intended to shore up Site defences. He takes command during major containment breaches when the departmental leadership has clearly lost control of the situation. His normal style of leadership is quiet, results-oriented-that speaks volumes by itself-but he has no reluctance to step forward if that is what the circumstances demand.
Yours sincerely,
Brayan Murry
