Character name(s): Dave Adde

Civilian name: N/A

What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): UK

Do you have a mic?: Yes

List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: Currently ISD Investigator

Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: None at all

Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector? I want to continue in ISD. I have enjoyed my time as Investigator, carrying out investigations into things, and seek the freedom to do so alone, without having to be set to the task by a CL4 member of staff. I feel as if it is the most enjoyable part of being a member of ISD, rather than the day-to-day arrests and busywork

What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?: I always endeavor to enforce the FLC fairly, yet without fail. Whether it be a simple case of misconduct, or a significantly more severe crime, I always make sure to apply the correct punishment relevant to the situation, rather than just immediate jail time to incite RP and keep relations between departments smooth. I often act semi-independently, carrying out investigations, interviews and other likewise courses of action whilst pursuing a goal. My general opinion on ISD is that there should be more investigative work done, more so solving puzzles and connecting dots together to form a cohesive and decisive report on a matter than just cuffing people, as it allows for a much more enjoyable experience on both the side of the arrested, and the arrestee.

What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?: A good inspector should be aware. Knowledgeable on both ISD policies, the FLC and other Department's policies. They should strive to be just, but not to a fault. Upholding the law is important, however impacting inter-departmental relationships puts a longer-lasting strain on future work that might be carried out.

How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?: Whilst maybe not considered "major", I have been carrying out a long-standing investigation into a Bomb threat that ISD has been alerted to, collating evidence on various persons of interest and any other vitally important information. I think a document like this should be both verbose, and professional, using correct terminology and accurate data to concisely break down what has happened, and where things might move on, to create further RP opportunities. There are several documents floating about the site, namely a document detailing the original piece of evidence found and attempts to understand it, an interview log and one or two witnesses. I also keep thorough notes on most important interactions I have had throughout my time on-site, particularly things I think could lead to, or expand on already existing RP.

I have also written up a template for a restraining order, to further expand upon recourse and punishment for violations of the FLC rather than just making arrests for crimes such as misconduct or otherwise in relation to Foundation Personnel.

What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?: An Inspector has a wide range of things to do about the Site. Training of new and existing ISD personnel, conducting and organizing investigations that may lead to further information, and importantly, someone for ISD staff to come to for help and assistance with anything. Inspectors should also be constantly seeking ways to expand and deepen RP for both ISD and other departments, keeping the Site experience a fun and engaging one

Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security: I keep a level head. Frequently I have managed to either talk my way in or out of situations as needs be. Often I have had ISD Agents come to me for assistance and guidance, and I have helped out as much as I can. Most recently I, to the best of my ability, assisted Nävy Dingleberry to get on track to reach Investigator, as that was something they had asked me to help with and answer questions about. I am always willing to help others in any way I can, and try to lead by example as often as possible.

Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:

"Imbibe of the Womb of Chaos, brothers. Let us achieve godhood together” - Excerpt from confiscated Cult Manuscript

Dave Adde. His life began in the world of the anomalous, nearly ending soon after if the Foundation hadn’t stepped in to stop the misguided, theophagic cult in their attempt to achieve apotheosis. Of course, the young Adde wasn’t nearly old enough to remember this detail, and the only mention of it is in a field log buried deep in archives rarely looked at, if at all studied in-depth.

It was co-incidence then, that Dave would join the Foundation much later in his life, a P.I looking into the wrong things. Actions witnessed by the wrong, or possibly right people. Men in black suits arriving at his office was no new thing, a significant portion of his clientele dressed well, however their request was nothing like the P.I had heard before. It wasn’t long before he was brought to a secure location, identity of a past life scrubbed away. They’d told him that to everyone else in the world, he’d died in a car accident. A drunk driver had hit him late at night. The photos of his corpse looked so real, it took him a while to get to grips with the fact he wasn’t the one in them.

Of course, his work in civilian life wasn’t too dissimilar to his new duties. A basic, bottom of the ladder agent for the Internal Security Department, but his mind wouldn’t let him rest there. Puzzles intrigued him too much for Adde to not look deeper into things. Sure, he got a few odd looks when he started breaking out the red string and corkboard, but to Dave? There was no place like home.
