I am returning to the server actively and wish to return to this role within the community as it is the one where i had the most fun by far, and since i plan on remaining active well throughout the summer and after it, I love gensec and i wholeheartedly believe it to be the best and most fun department within the foundation, so i wish to commit myself to it by going further into the leadership role within it starting with Captain.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I have ample experience within GSD, as i estimate that a good 75% of my 500 hours is spent in this department, and i also hold the relevant leadership experience as a captain previously, adding onto it my time spent as a consultant and other roles within the foundation, i believe myself to be a capable individual in this regard. Previously as Captain, i was responsible for writing some of the handbooks and assisting with others.
In terms of my character, i am a very tolerating person as a result of dealing with cadets on the regular, and generally approachable.
One of my passions is innovating and finding new things to do, so some people probably have read a proposal or two i've personally writen, like the recently denied one where i tried to get GSD units shrunken to minuscule size for infiltration, but generally i aim for ideas that are not as extreme. A side effect of this is that i am always eager to write documents if relevant to Gensec and take ideas from other members to further our effectiveness as a department.
Often i find myself one of the few GSD members online, so my ability to play as captain earlier and fill a gap where sometimes the captain slots are empty with some gensec members active with little leadership is something that will be useful to the foundation, especially when the site is understaffed at these times.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
General Security Captains are responsible for the leadership and status of Gensec, through management of code situations and other disturbances to the leading of GSD personnel within Dblock and other GSD areas of operations.
Captains are in charge of dispatching troops for Sweeps within Dblock, Code 5 / 1 Responses and aiding other departments such as MTFs, RSD and any who require our assistance.
Captains also deal with non-Dblock related matters such as License Tryouts, Training sessions, Departmental Relations and any documentation needed
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
My character is a known priest within the site, as shown by the title "Father", i have achieved this through the transcription of several approved bibles within foundation documents that i use for the occasional mass for foundation believers, and i have used it on select occasions to give final prayers to members on their deathbed previously. Aside from this aspect of my character, i am just a regular guy who does his job and has an interest on research results that improve upon the basic human.
