For how long have you played on CG SCP: Begun playing in October of 2023, paused during April~ of 2024, restarted during August of 2025, and here we are in October of 2025.
Age: 20
In what country are you located?: England
Time zone: GMT+1
Character name(s): Kevin ‘Zeal’ Lowikeyes (Foundation), Sage ‘Valor’ Marbles (GOC), Ezekiel ‘Finesse’ Markus (CI)
Civilian name: Zach ‘Apathy’ Markus
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): UK
Do you have a mic?: Yuh
-
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: Executive Researcher(Held), Director of Research(Held), Overseer Assistant(Holding).
-
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: Only one warning for FailRP in which I had used my weapon as an Executive Researcher when I shouldn’t have.
-
What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number):

O5-4, no reason in particular, it’s just the only slot available, unless of course Nuke or Synergy were willing to give up their -2 or -3 slots??? But I doubt that. And this may be an unusual request, but I do not wish for any specific codename, as it would be antithetical to the character that I am playing, however if I am obligated to do so, "The Catalyst" (as it was my old O5 codename in another place) OR "Overzealous Destiny" because it sounds cool (i'd prefer this one LOL)

What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?:
  • I believe myself to have shown my dedication within recent time towards the O5 side of the server, especially during my tenure as an Overseer Assistant. I believe I have the necessary knowledge, experience and mindset gained from Overseer Assistant to be more than capable of performing the duties of an Overseer.
  • Simultaneously, I would not be entering the “Leadership” role blind, as my time as a Director of Research from the past has given me the necessary skills to manage a variety of different players proficiently. This is not exclusive to the Director of Research role that I held for some time, but extends to my time as an Overseer Assistant through the assisting, directing, leading of both Alpha-1 & Miscellaneous personnel across Site-65. Whilst I do admit there are likely to still be a few aspects that I would have to learn, I do wholeheartedly believe that should I be accepted into Overseer, it will shortly be as if there were no stones unturned when it comes to the skills that are required to be at peak efficiency as an Overseer.
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?:
  • The Council, within the entire Foundation, upholds the mission statements no matter the cost. Any deviations, infractions or threats to the mission statements that are within the Foundation itself, they actively seek to remove.
  • Another expected aspect of the Council is the organizing of hearings for personnel considered to be underperforming in their duties, or perhaps performing their duties in a negligent manner. Usually, the Council will collaborate with Site Administration to determine the outcome of these hearings, rarely ever making that decision without them, unless the hearing involves Site Administration directly.
  • It’s not only hearings that the Council concerns themselves with. Oftentimes, the Council will collaborate with the Ethics Committee to decide upon punishments or removals or tribunals for personnel that they believe have done so wrong that both ends of Site Command are required to give their piece as to what is done with them.
  • The Council themselves provide orders, tasks, requests, projects or collaborations with all Departments within the site, usually providing these departments with their active support, either through their assistants or Alpha-1 or both. The nature of these projects or orders are varying, either from a selfish, greedy or otherwise dubious origin that seeks to only benefit the Council rather than the Foundation itself, or it could stem from an altruistic perspective, looking to improve upon the Foundation, and in a few cases, other Groups of Interest, oftentimes with equal payout if not more, as a whole. It’s important to note that usually, the Council is apathetic to how the end result is achieved, so long as it is achieved, a direct contrast to the Ethics Committee, which are very delicate regarding the process from Point A to Point B.
  • Of course, at the end of the day, the Council are the final decision-makers within the Foundation. They decide what gets done and what gets tossed into the bin, although very rarely will they actively make these decisions in place of the respective department that is expected to be making these decisions.
  • Naturally, the Council shares responsibilities with all CL4 staff alongside some unique miscellaneous responsibilities, e.g. Advanced Armory authorization, QRF authorization, FSL/Teslas activation, Calling Code Blacks when needed, calling ERT should it be required, and as a last resort, activating the Alpha Warhead, should breaches get so bad.
  • This is mostly split between both In-character & out of character, but I'll place it here, as it makes the most impact in-character. The Council is expected to, as the term "Roleplay Leader" suggests, be who a large amount of the playerbase look towards for what to do next, this can include the hosting or creation of large-scale projects, the leading of roleplay involving a large portion of the site, or even something as little as authorizing a passionate Researcher's experiment. From my perspective, I believe that the Council are the one's that take the forefront when it comes to what to do next, not necessarily doing it so much where Department/MTF leaders are overloaded with O5-delegated tasks where they can't do their own thing, but rather if the leaders are out of ideas or experiencing a creativity-burnout, the O5s can effectively swoop in almost immediately and provide both the leaders and their department something to do.

What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
  • The Council votes on & decides upon Site Director, Director of Research, MTF Alpha-1 Commander nominees & Overseer Assistant applications, alongside voting for a consensus on Overseer applicants.
  • Collaborating between the Council members, and when applicable, MTF, Departments or GOIs regarding in-game or out-of-game policies, permissions, agreements, etc.
  • This is kind of split between both In-Character & Out-Of-Character but regardless; the overseeing of Site Administration alongside Research, and when the situation calls for it, individual departments. Ensuring the health & quality of the department(s) that they are currently overseeing, determining whether the department(s) requires immediate support from the Council and should it be determined necessary, the removal of personnel within that department. Additional note to take is that most, if not all of this falls under Site Administration, the Council is simply there to support the Site Administration in their duties with this, and taking over when required.
  • Naturally, the creation, innovation, assistance, encouragement and support of roleplay all across the server, not just limited to the Foundation. The Council is there to, when applicable, assist players with their roleplay, acting as a “OK, we can help you with that” when the idea is either too large to keep within a single department or so innovative that the creator wants to involve multiple departments in this roleplay. Of course the Council is also expected to create roleplay for departments as well, acting as both a supporting role and a leading role depending on whether they didn’t or did create the roleplay storyline/idea respectively.

Please give some lore about your O5 character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Link: yoooo is taht kevin lowikeyes lore or something
Link: Personnel Documentation Kevin Lowikeyes
Currently, this character is actively partaking within the Lima-3 storyline, having worked closely with the now “missing” -1, and looking to get into a position where contesting -9 will be done with less restrictions, due to his previous encounter with -9, whilst he carried -1’s will, he couldn’t contest -9 in the slightest.
Additionally, this character is taking a somewhat more minor role within the PTRNSCRM storyline, hosted by Aphex.

As for future storylines, I’m personally not entirely certain yet, at least until Lima-3 is finished. I believe that Lowikeyes as a character would slowly but surely want to unravel every mystery he has a disdain towards, not in the sense of “INFOLEAK EVERYTHING!”, but he certainly hates people that believe themselves to be so important that they can hide themselves. So that’d likely be the next plan, as basic as it is, until of course I get a more passionate idea for storylines.

DAMN im anxious with this application, but of course any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Regardless of whether this application gets denied or not, I want to use what everyone says here to improve upon myself and how I act within the server. Of course, if the application is lacking in some aspects, please do say so and I can improve upon it either as edits or for next time, should it be denied.

You should put the intended codename in the title.

Application is average and could do with some improvements. You don't seem to grasp the understanding of what an RP Leader actually does or what is required of them to do.

I'd recommend speaking to some players in such position to see if they can give you some further guidance in line with the current state of the server.

Regardless, Always wish people the best of luck with this and if you need any resources just let me know via a reply or forum DM!

You are a great guy and I believe that you would make a great Council Member in the future, however I do not believe that your RP creation is sufficient enough yet. As you stated in your application you are partaking in various things, which is great - but, RP leader position requires to also create RP, not just participate in it.
I would also wish for you to present what are your plans with Alpha-1 if you get the role, what RP would they partake in/any details on how you would engage with your own regiment - it is really important for SC to give various tasks/scenarios for their respective regiment - that's why I am curious about your plans.

Why won't you go for SA and create some scenarios as a senior CL4 member or just stick around as OSA and do your own RP?

If you can't already say, neutral support.

Good luck,
Mediator

From my own perspective I haven't seen you all that much as OSA, however. That isn't to discredit you at all, I just haven't seen enough personally and like Broda said the application is average and doesn't really sell you. I think in time you can be a great candidate however.

Afternoon Mediator, thank you for the kind words & feedback.

When it comes to what I am looking to provide to both Alpha-1 & the Overseer Assistants, I am mostly thinking of the following:

- The creation of "Joint Orders" between Alpha-1 & Overseer Assistants, as currently the orders that are given to either side are specifically for one or the other, therefore I am looking to create such a thing for that in order to strengthen A-1 & OSA's bond and assist OSAs that are new to the scene to slowly learn how to better cooperate with and possibly lead Alpha-1 much like an Overseer would.

- For Overseer Assistants, providing them with the permissions, resources & direct encouragement to covertly disguise as & pose as various non-combatives (or semi-combatives such as ISD) and perform the respective departments most basic duties in order to best observe
A) How the CL4 personnel of the department interact with these disguised OSAs
B) How the rest of the site interact with the disguised OSAs of varying clearances.
This'd be in an attempt to better the Council's perspective of these departments and their current state both within themselves and the perspective that they are currently in for the other departments, and make attempts to improve or maintain that health, should it be needed.

- As for Alpha-1, I unfortunately cannot promise anything specific, do please take it as a compliment when I say that I cannot personally locate anything that I wish Alpha-1 would perform that they currently don't already do. Anything that would be required would fall to a matter of when it's specifically needed. Naturally, I would continue to perform with Alpha-1 as I currently do as an OSA, assisting Alpha-1 with their duties and allowing Alpha-1 to assist me with my own goals or duties, becoming an Overseer would not change this fact.

Additionally, I am happy to become more prominent within taking the lead and initiating roleplay, either larger or small, the reason I haven't been too frequent with such a thing is that due to Lima-3 occurring alongside a myriad of different occurrences happening across various departments, I'm currently waiting for such things to come to a close, rather than add my own personal things to the table. I do agree that this is possibly a mindset that is timid in nature, therefore I will begin to make active steps to change that.

Thank you for the feedback, Broda. I've edited the application within the "Overseer Council In-RP Duties" section to include my personal interpretation of what a Roleplay Leader is and should be, if it is incorrect in some aspects, please do point it out.

Don't go near the D-Class
Don't know what you're talking about :)
