Discord name: brokage
For how long have you played on CG SCP: Four Years
Age: 31
In what country are you located?: England
Time zone: GMT
Character name(s): Godfrey Kagen
Civilian name: Broda
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-UK
Do you have a mic?:
- I have a lot of experience within the SCP RP UK Server and have helped the community grow with events and behind the scenes contributions. With DoISD, I have proven experience already and as a current Commissioner I've demonstrated my ability to inject ISD with fun and engaging roleplay whenever I manage to login. I aim to champion the cause of separating in-character and out of character due to how the community has changed over the past year. Being Director, I would push this even further. We play SCP for the roleplay aspect, not a substitute for VR Chat.
I have also created various Operations surrounding ongoing roleplay and the main storyline (Operation Interloper) and I use incentives such as ingame money to weapon skins/knives to reward players for their input. It is crucial to not only reward engagement but also show that Operations and Investigations have actual consequences, something I did bring back to ISD when I rejoined back in December. I ensured we had tribunals, hearings and more sinisterly, High Tribunals. ISD has major impact to the ongoing function of Site roleplay and it is important to show the players within the department, and even outside of it, that we exist to challenge the misbehaviors of their characters.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Internal Security in RP?:
- A Director is expected to lead and be the final port of call for any and all Internal Security issues, once the chain of command is exhausted. Aside from that, a Director must deal with the promotion of new Commissioners and ensure quality control is kept within all positions within Internal Security. They must effectively delegate tasks and ensure everyone is competent in the role they've been given. With the Unit system I introduced as DoISD in my first tenure, this seems to be merging from four into two, promoting further co-operation within the ISD Leadership team. (This idea was pushed by Nyrelle) With the new Unit structure fast approaching, a Director would be expected to ensure maximum engagement within them by their Commissioner team. Directors are also required to decide upon ISD Inspector applications with consultation from the ISD Leadership team, they can delegate these interviews to Two Commissioners. (I will seek to change this to One Commissioner).
Most importantly, An ISD Director must maintain the department's ongoing storylines and Operations. These are the lifeblood of ISD and without proper management and control, ISD does suffer greatly. As such, it is a Director's responsibility to clean up any inactive operations and encourage the creation of newer ones, or even create a new operation themselves. Finally, a Director must be the primary link between Site Administration and Foundation Command for any ongoing issues within or around the Department. It is imperative there is unbiased decision making when it comes to the course of Internal Security, otherwise we'll end up in the gutter again.
Please give some lore about your Director of Internal Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:

- Internal Security has always been a good point of roleplay for me on SCP UK. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself going through stories, scenarios and on the spot roleplay. With ISD though, is isn't all sunshine and roses. There are issues I want to address in terms of external documentation bloat (Return to monke) and activity requirements. I will aim to work with Godman to remove logging of newcomers, investigator promotions and other job-like activities. We need to realign ISD back to that of having engaging and fun roleplay, to which I have provided via my Game Master permissions with running The Apostate Conspiracy storyline with Julien. Being a previous ISD Director, I went off script with leadership and removed all activity logging and replaced it with observation of roleplay and creativity. This brought Internal Security into its prime and we had weeks of maxxed out slots on every role we had. ISD has unlimited potential with the roleplay tools we have at our disposal and I do believe that myself and Eric Godman can unlock this even further with our combined skillset.
