Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I believe that the security department is the best structured department in the foundation. It has the replayability of having several different tasks to do, yet is simple enough that any beginner could understand it easily. In my time as an RRT sergeant, I've found myself performing various important tasks for several Captains, like being in charge of D-block or leading sweeps. I have a good understanding of the department and it's structure, and wish to be able to make a substantial impact in this site. I have a lot of things to improve, and I believe that this could be the next step in said improvement.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I have had plenty experience in gensec, especially as a sergeant and a riot sergeant. I have been trusted with managing D-block several times by captains when they're not available and have run sweeps that were succesful. My managing skills are pretty good and I am able to manage D-block succesfully if needed. I also have both the riot response and heavy weapons license, and I know the procedures that accompany the gensec Captain role. I am very knowledgeable in handling code 2s and other emergencies if needed and will be able to manage D-block securely and without many problems.
My colleagues have described me as a "pleasant person to be around" but also "professional and commited", which I believe is important to have for this role, as you have to manage the wellbeing of not only the facility, but the personnel as well. I encourage ethics and always try and keep D-block a safe environment by making sure d-class receive 3 warnings before termination, and make sure other departments, like research, adhere to their protocol as well. I will help this department imporve, the same way this department has helped in improving me.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
Captains have a long list of responsibilities, but the main ones are:
- Making sure security does their job to the best of their abilities.
- Educating cadets and other newcomers on how to best do their dutiesç
- Hosting tryouts for RRT and Heavy weapons licenses
- Working with other senior members of security to make sure the department runs smoothly
- Helping other departments to make sure the facility runs smoothly and enabling RRT to help with other departments
- Overseeing D-block operations which include staffing POIs with RRT escorts, Maintaining order in D-block, informing other staff where they are allowed to go, enabling research with D-class and escorts, and watching over the D-class, making sure they don't riot and authorising sweeps if needed.
Before foundation
Gustavo was born in Spain 06/09/2001, and was raised with high expectations. He went to a prestigious school and majored in Biomechanics. He enrolled in the military to afford college, and he found his true calling there. Gustavo climbed up the ranks and was promoted to Staff Sergeant until the SCP Foundation contacted him. He was given a job as a Sergeant and sent off to Site 34 to work there.
Site 34
Gustavo was a notable member in site 34, helping in the containment of many SCPs like SCP-ES-198. One Day, during a routine checkup on SCP-ES-███, It breached and he was sent out to the frontlines along with his squad. SCP-ES-███ massacred the squad, only leaving him alive. Gustavo was traumatised by this, and was relocated to site 65 in Pinewood, Canada
Site 65
Gustavo was relocated to site 65 and started recovering from the trauma he experienced. He started becoming a leader to the other security forces and gained the title of riot sergeant. In the present day, Gustavo is trying to get promoted and make the site a safer place, to make sure that he never loses his squad and friends ever again.
