Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?:
I resigned in the summer, thinking that I did not show enough contribution to the department, as I did not have adequate experience and perspective that would help me serve this position well. I wished to remain in CL3 to experience more roles and positions. Through these months, I saw things that widened my view on the function of this site. With these in mind, I acknowledged many aspects of myself that I should improve on so I could do better both in RP and duties. But to work on these, I need an environment that demands higher standards; hence, I wish to take a leadership position in the department that stays the closest to my heart, as I am a fan of investigations.

What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?:

In my opinion, inspectors are the most important members of this department, as they are the bridge between CL3 members -namely, the investigators and agents- and the leadership. They are the first to turn to. That means they need to be guides, leaders in the field and in general intermediaries. This is why they have to be the most active members who are always on-hand when help is needed. I can safely say that I am an active player both internally and externally, able to respond fast and prepared for anything.
I do not doubt that I have to improve my communication, but despite this fact, I have considerable empathy towards people, and I am able to understand their problems and/or needs, which is, in my opinion, an important attribute to attain to create cooperation that yields results. Alongside this, I believe that I have the ability to be impartial in cases where it is key to be neutral towards people whom you may pass judgment on.
As ISD is the department that wields the responsibility to protect the innocent and bring the guilty to justice, I think it should be demanded that every member must have a strong sense of justice, which keeps our duties on track. I am confident that during my time in ISD, I always acted on the idea that everything shall be done justly.
Lastly, I like to write documents, and always aim to maximise quality. As ISD require many documents to be made, I think it is a good thing to have a healthy balance between the desk and the field.

What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
A leader must have four principal ideas in mind when conducting their duty. Failure to abide by them will hinder performance and eventually lead to chaos.

Patience
Whether it be leading our subordinates, overseeing cases, or communicating with other departments, the lack of patience stirs up tension and clouds the original goal of our conduct. That is why it is important to take some time to consider your next move. This, however, should not be mistaken for hesitation, as an intense situation demands confidence and routine.

Logic
Assessing every situation and having an in-depth view on problems are key elements for any investigative work. To recognize hidden details by linking the cause and effect of events and behaviour is the first step when gathering evidence and passing judgment.

Humility
A leader shall never forget that his position does not serve them, but they serve in that position instead. This is the recognition of being part of the system that serves a much higher purpose than ourselves. Any tyrannical or arbitrary tendencies corrupt this system and lead to collapse.

Vision
No matter how little power a leader has, they must have a perspective on how they should shape or create the environment they are responsible for. Having no vision is like having no eyes. On the perilous road of an inspector, closed eyes will lead to a fall.

How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?:
I have written several arrest reports, research studies, and a few project initiatives. According to the feedback, these documents were up to standard in terms of quality.
My first document was an arrest report, where I documented a GSD captain who murdered a D-class with lethal chemicals.
A newly written document is an initiative for an operation, where I based my reasoning on two significant FLC breaches made by the targeted department.
Another document of mine that I liked is actually a small series for a project in RSD, with the initial theorem and plan, and with some testing documentation. Sadly, I stopped working on this project, so it didn't lead to anything significant.

A high-quality document should adhere to the departmental template but should not lack any additional sections that may add more insight or creativity to the topic. It must also contain flawless grammar and clear drafting so it may avoid ambiguity. It is imperative to omit redundant information, solely stating known facts and theories based on evidence. This also means that the document must be written in a neutral tone to avoid any accusation of partiality.

What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:

  • Uphold discipline and order within the department, being the first to respond to CL3.
  • Oversee major cases and operations, which may target high-value personnel or departments
  • Execute the lawful arrest of Sr. CL4 personnel
  • Delegate tasks and give training to agents and investigators
  • Represent ISD in the absence of Commissioner+ and keep good relations with other departments

Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
I am capable of acting as a competent leader in front of subordinates and making key decisions in high-pressure situations. I possess the ability to be both empathetic and strict, depending on what the situation demands. I am adaptable to situations and able to come up with new ideas that may improve our performance.

Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:

I used this character story idea in another application, but as it was denied, and I liked this concept, I wish to use this here as well. Enjoy.

Name: Sándor Mekcsey

Place of Birth: Budapest, Hungary

Date of Birth: 4th of February, 2000

Status: Wanted—crime against the state, under asylum within Site-19

Prehistory

Sándor Mekcsey graduated from the Nemzeti Közszolgálati Egyetem (NKE, National Public Service University) and started his career at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After a short period of service, he quickly moved to the National Security Service (NBSZ, Nemzetbiztonsági Szakszolgálat), where he showed exceptional organisational skills and a cold-headed attitude. In 2021, the Foundation’s European branch started to conduct covert observation towards his person. Thanks to an incident involving an anomalous phenomenon, Mekcsey got recruited into the ranks of the Foundation for his outstanding work to contain this threat, hence avoiding public outrage.

Later, he was assigned to be the middleman between the Hungarian government and the Foundation to ensure the secrecy of anomalous entities and the MTF regiments working in the region. Although this work has been proven to be fruitful in the long term, the corruption and incompetence of the Hungarian government led to an economic crisis and the weakening of homeland security, which caused setbacks in containing anomalies.

Mekcsey has decided to do sabotage operations against the state and organised a coup to replace the government for the sake of stability and safety of the population. This was, however, a failure, as he got exposed by the NBSZ itself. An arrest warrant was issued for him, and he became a wanted person for “anti-state activities.”

The Foundation has organised an escape route for him and the exposed agents to save all the resources they could. This way, he successfully migrated to Canada, where he was given asylum in Site-19. In the following days, he was given a new position at this site and became an inspector of the Internal Security Department.

Relations

Mekcsey has a controversial reputation within the facility. As a foreigner, he has a difficult time connecting with the staff, and his previous deeds raise suspicion among leadership about whether he can be trusted or not. He aims to improve these through dedicated, hard work and effort.

Motivation

Mekcsey thinks that the world’s current order is incapable of upholding stability and keeping humanity safe from the anomalies he encounters regularly. He believes in a world where the Foundation may be the absolute power over the world that can control humanity’s fate and avoid its demise.

Personality

He is known to be rational and intelligent in his decisions and aims to suppress his emotions to take charge of situations. This usually appears in the form of irony and mockery towards the ones he feels are inadequate to fulfill their position. He happens to be morally ambivalent, as he thinks the freedom of one individual can be sacrificed in order to keep humanity safe.

Potential Storyline

As a wanted individual, Mekcsey always watches over his shoulders. He has no idea when he might be found or betrayed by his colleagues to get rid of him. If his whereabouts become known, the Hungarian government and the Global Occult Organisation may do everything in their power to get him.

Meanwhile, his loyalty towards the Foundation can be questioned as well by Site Command. Can he be trusted, and can he be sure that he can keep working solely for the interest of his employers, or will his patriotism towards his birthplace reawaken for some reason?

I left a - support on another application of Jackwells quite some time ago. They came up to me asking why I did it, so I told them that their attitude toward people was distasteful, and they seemed aggressive all the time. They hear this out, they don't argue, and they actually recognise their mistakes and shortcomings.

Jackwell right now is a completely different person. They actually put in the effort and changed their ways. I would love to see them in this role as it is so rare to see someone who can genuinely reflect on themselves and take actions to improve how their behavior and how they treat others.

Best of luck man!
