Why are you applying for Special Agent?
I am applying for Special Agent because I genuinely enjoy playing DEA more than most other departments and MTFs. I believe DEA offers a great balance between combat and RP, while also having a wide variety of responsibilities that prevent the gameplay from becoming repetitive.DEA is my favourite department to play, and I would like to be more involved in helping the department improve and become active. Becoming a Special Agent would give me more opportunities to contribute to DEA through trainings, assisting lower ranks, and creating operations and roleplay.
What makes you suitable for Special Agent?
Leadership
Throughout my time in CN, I have achieved the ranks of DEA Manager and Nu-7 Major. Holding these positions has allowed me to develop my leadership skills through coordinating raids and responding to codes and giving orders.I also believe that being active and approachable is important for a Special Agent. I want to be someone DEA or other Department members can come to when they need help, while also being able to take charge when a situation requires it.
Experience
My previous experience as a DEA Manager and Nu-7 Major has given me experience with both departmental management creating operations. I have participated in and led raids, breaches, surface operations, and various RP situations involving both Foundation and GOIs.My time within DEA has also helped me become familiar with the department's general procedures, responsibilities, and gameplay. I believe this experience would allow me to transition into the responsibilities of Special Agent without needing significant time to adjust.
Roleplay
I believe a Special Agent should be able to create roleplay rather than simply wait for it to happen. I am able to takeinitiative, adapte to unexpected situations, and helping lower ranks become more confident creating their own RP.
Over the period I have spent actively working toward higher positions, I have become much more comfortable with the unpredictable situations that can occur while playing. I believe this experience would translate well into the responsibilities of a Special Agent.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?
I have not written a large number of documents specifically for DEA, but I have written several documents for RSD and Nu-7 during my time within those departments. In my opinion, a good document needs two main things presentation and information. A good layout makes a document easy to read and understand, while the information itself needs to be accurate and clearly explained. A document should also avoid unnecessary information and get its point across efficiently.
What are the responsibilities of a Special Agent in RP?
The responsibilities of a Special Agent include:- Training new Agents/Operatives
- Hosting Senior Agent tryouts
- Hosting trainings for Field agents
- Handling relations between the foundation and other GOIs
- Authorizing GOC RRF when necessary
- Organizing and hosting meetings with GOIs to create and facilitate RP
- Authorizing raids and infils against CI/GOC
- Authorizing the GOC Suits into site when required
- Supervising DEA personnel during operations and ensuring they follow proper procedures.
- Creating RP opportunities for DEA members like creating operations for DEA and SOP
- Working with and assting Nu-7 on surface
- Responding to Code 1s and monitoring GOI movments
- Working closely with ISD when it comes to internal investigations relating to GOIs
- Working with the rest of the Leadership/Management team and Site Admin
- Provide feedback on Special agent apps
Please give some lore about your Special Agent character and what storylines they would be involved in:
John Undercover is an American citizen who was born and raised in the USA. His parents divorced when he was young, resulting in him living primarily with his father. Growing up, John developed an interest in intelligence and investigation, eventually pursuing a career within the CIA taking the same steps as his father.
During his time with the CIA, John worked primarily in intelligence gathering, surveillance, and counter-intelligence operations. His work exposed him to various criminal organizations and hostile groups, teaching him how to gather information, conduct interrogations, and operate in situations where conventional law enforcement methods were ineffective.
However, during one of his assignments, John encountered an incident involving an unidentified anomalous organization. The incident was quickly covered up by the Foundation, but John had already noticed that something about the situation was far beyond anything the CIA had dealt with before.
Rather than having his knowledge become a liability, the Foundation offered John an opportunity to join the DEA. After extensive screening and training, he was recruited as an Agent and slowly worked his way through the ranks.
As John gained experience within the DEA, he became increasingly involved in dealing with GOIs, conducting investigations, negotiating with hostile organizations, and supporting Foundation operations on the surface. His previous CIA experience proved particularly useful when dealing with intelligence-heavy situations and organizations such as the Chaos Insurgency and Global Occult Coalition.
Now serving as a Special Agent, John focuses on mentoring newer DEA personnel, organizing operations, and ensuring that the Department maintains a professional standard when dealing with both Foundation personnel and Groups of Interest.
