What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
Being an Ethics Committee Assistant takes a lot of dedication and you must be able to prove your redeeming qualities and what you can do. In order to become the best possible candidate for the position of Ethics Committee Assistant I have already planned many projects and a few storylines I wish to focus on. An example of one of these is a project in which I will attempt to help research focus on more Ethical testing and create some guidelines as well as putting up posters to develop roleplay in that sector. I am also a well known player across the server and I have made a lot of friends across my time in the server. I am applying for ECA in order to create roleplay around the site on a different character with a completely different department.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
Ethics Committee Assistants have a lot of power in roleplay, their most relevant powers listed below:
- Conducting assigned work and projects assigned by Ethics
- Creating roleplay on their own / projects
- Organising Omega 1 when requested
- Authorizing AA (advanced armoury) when the requirements are met
- Completing direct orders assigned by Ethics Members or the Chairman
- Enforcing the CoE around site
- Creating roleplay for tribunals
- Resolving Ethical issues around site
These are the main Ethics Committee Assistant responsibilities in roleplay and an ECA should try to work towards keeping the highest standards for the Ethics Committee at all times when directly representing them in roleplay and out of roleplay.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Childhood
Jorge Mendes is male of Portuguese - Moroccan descent. He was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 2006 with a father who specialized in Philosophy as a professor working in a small university near his home. His mother was a Human Rights lawyer working as an independent lawyer. She worked primarily away from home in Morocco, taking cases there as it was her original home country. She would generally only come home for celebrations such as Jorge's birthday, Christmas and occasionally Easter. With Jorge's mother gone for most of his early childhood, he never gained many fond memories of her. His father was killed in a car crash when Jorge was 14, causing long lasting trauma to him and his mother being forced to return home in order to save him from orphanage and to take care of him.

First Interaction
Jorge was an intelligent boy, noted for his prowess in his keen eyes and problem solving. He always consistently scored high marks in tests and was always looking to increase the efficiency of any mechanism he could get his hands on, even being able to compete with an amateur technician in a competition. One day however whilst on his way to school at the age of 17, he decided to take a different turn, seeing many of his friends enter a separate alleyway presumably to take a shortcut or smoke cigarettes in secret as was popular around his school at the time. Before stepping foot in the alley however, he reconsidered it, was it actually safe, with his mother warning him before it was cursed with the souls of dead men. Pressured by the ticking clock, he had no time to stand around and pushed himself onwards down the alleyway towards his school.

Pressured by the ticking clock, he had no time to stand around and pushed himself onwards down the alleyway towards his school.
As Jorge went down the alley, the sounds of cars, his steps and the city ambience cut silent. He barely noticed it, citing it off as being silenced by the swinging trees. Several minutes into his detour, a loud thwomp could be heard. It was like someone screamed but they screamed silent. Nobody heard it but him. Maybe he shouldn't have come down this alleyway after all? Jorge being a member of the Mendes family just had to investigate, as his bloodline was well renowned for being the first to dive into danger. When he turned the corner, an assortment of shoes were displayed on the floor. He recognised one of the pair, his friend Miguel Arness's Nike's were lying on the floor in an orderly fashion alongside another pair of someone's else's shoes, knowing his friend Miguel had just gone missing a week ago he was shocked and took a step back in terror. He turned around feeling an aura emanating from far behind him, something was watching him, and he could feel it. He knew.
As he snapped his head around he saw him...
The Decision
He proposed a deal.
Option 1.
Go back to his regular life, nothing changes and he pursues a career in engineering, dying young to a faulty aircraft engine explosion
Or a second choice.
Abandon this reality. Move to the next reality which is a greater copy of this one, full of mysteries, powers and unimaginable horrors.
Jorge would have a new life, working for an organisation known as the "SCP Foundation". Nobody would ever know he left and his life would continue as normal.
Jorge would work directly under the guidance of the Ethics Committee as an assistant and bring greatness to the Foundation.
Without a blink, he made his decision.
Jorge was duplicated and split between the two realities, two souls, two minds, two bodies.
One was seventeen year old Jorge Mendes, a great engineer
The other was Ethics Committee Assistant Jorge Mendes, a twenty year old man from another reality.
