What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I have several advantages to being apart of the Ethics Committee, first off I have experience with documentation as I tend to stay on more documentation requiring roles (Not to mention I am currently a squadron leader of E-11/ Lieutenant of E-11) these roles being Internal affairs and researcher. This also gives into the second advantages of accepting me. I am well versed in the legal codex from my long time on internal affairs; with these two advantages what more can you gain from me, you may ask. Well I have another ace in the hole with my advantages; that being that I can also be on at late times, that might not be an advantage at first sight but in my eyes if you have active members on at almost every single hour of the day it is almost impossible to be slowed down by any sort of pressure given to us by any sort of problem. If you disagree with anything I said or do not care about the points given then their is not much else I can say to counteract that but another advantage to having me is I will not back down when I am at my low I will keep pushing until the end or until I can not push any further. These points are why I think I would be a great addition to the ethics committee!
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
The ethics committee is a very busy department within the foundation. The ethics committee employs the use of assistants to "Loosen the load" for better or for worse. The following that the ethics committee assistants would be presumed of being contracted to do would be as follows.
The oversight of all departments to uphold the ethical boundaries of said departs in the case that the departments break anything relating to the legal codex they could send O-1 to take care of any situations relating to that.
To execute the orders given to them by ethics committee members, they swiftly execute the orders with precision and accuracy because that is why they are choosen.
To overlook any persons of interest for the ethics committee, for better or for worse.
The documenting of any major or crucial events relating to the ethics committee that they deem fit to be looked over by an ethics committee assistant.
To order O-1 as enforcers to hunt down any persons deemed necessary to be hunted down by O-1 and taken away for proper reasoning on to why they broke anything they deemed to extreme to be taken by the internal affairs department of the foundation.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Joseph Sussman, a man born from humble origins, being born in Cape Town South Africa, he was not born to the most wealthy family but to a family that can keep standing without much issue. He was not raised in a house plagued by the prejudice of south africa, due to being born in the late 90's apertheid was still strong in the nation plaguing most minorities within South Africa. He learned that this was not the right way to deal with a situation and would later go on to visit African National Congress social rallies to end apartheid with that in installed in the young man the difference between right and wrong. The young man would later join the African National Congress after arpetheid was being fully flushed out of the government, however he didn't see much change in the regions that were plagued by the effects of apartheid. He was also one of the first ANC members to witness the elections of south africas parliament. He would proceed to gain a seat in the lower house, and go on much further.
The young man's life would not be normal after an incident with SCP-130. For some ungodly reason one operative dealing with packaging at the time was a feeling either a bit rude that day or felt like not caring about what package was sent to the reciever. So when Joseph Sussman recieved the package and attempted to walk out, before he walked out he proceeded to open the envelope that he thought was his. He then vanished from existance. Mobile task force unit Alpha-4 "Pony Express" was then told about this and the operative who gave Sussman the wrong package was demoted for his lack of attention or care to the situation and was sent to Site-█████. Only after 3 days on 2/██/███ was Sussman secured. When the proper protocol was intiated and sussman was recovered out of the comotose. They had to pay for the damage that was caused to the package and had to return to the proper sender. He was marked with the sins of another man the failure of another was forever marked on him. That anomaly made the mark for Sussman to keep forever as he still bears the tatoo "Return to sender" and "Postage due." With that being done Sussman was brought to Site-█████. He was questioned about several subjects and was then offered a new job within Site-█████ as an internal affairs agent. He proceeded to accept the job and started working on 19/██/███.
Sussman was dropped feet first into what he described as "Hell" dealing with some of the most awful human beings hearing the horrors that were the Gensec and Research members. Some were either cruel to Class-D subjects or were vial monsters allowed to do awful things to other human beings. Sussman felt this was a horrid way to treat another and proceeded to fill out an application to become an ambassador, his thought set was "I've seen hell up close. I can deal with demon the same distance." With that he was rejected and with that naivity he proceeded to take less and less cases, seeing the incompetance of gensec disheartened him. However what gave him hope were the mobile task forces. He saw the future of the foundation in their hands. and proceeded to take more combative courses. Changing from an internal affairs agent to an internal affairs operative. He went more combative based and arrested similar amounts of people from his early days. With his more combative approach shown him something about the departments and how they ran. He knew how they ran on paper. It was his job to enforce what was on paper. When he saw what the departments truly acted without the internal affairs uniform he saw what needed to be done; after that revolation he stayed in his job a bit longer and then proceeded to fill out something, not for ambassador again. He seeked something higher than ambassador, he remembers something they were told as agents "Anybody with valid reasoning can request a viewing with a represenative of the ethics committee." With that Sussman was assured by that and proceeded to go for what he wanted to do. He wanted to uphold ethics.
Sussman now lays in a state of limbo unknowing his fate. Where will he go? What will he become? This is unknown to him. He wishes to do better and that is all he wants. If he can do that than he will be at peace.
