Why are you applying for the Director of Medicine?
I am applying for DoM as I wish to continue within the medical department and becoming DoM is the main goal for my journey in Foundation. A slot has just been opened up and I've recently just returned to site(due to technical issues) and have been constantly active since. I've been working with DoM Skylar Wilson and other consultants on projects, going out of my way to ensure medical is running smoothly when our numbers are low along with maintaining relations when incidents arise. I've been a consultant for around three months at this point and I understand the duties that come with being a DoM thanks to my time in that position. My overall goal is to help medical thrive and I believe this position will help me achieve that.
What makes you suitable for Director of Medicine?:
The reason I'm suitable for the position of DoM is because of how other members of Site-65 and Medical view me. I'm well known, approachable and easy going, have been trusted to handle sensitive situations, managing medbay when there's low medical personnel along with mentoring my fellow medical personnel. If the DoM isn't on site or busy, most people seek me out first due to my time within Site, taking the initiative to handle things in her place. I will always go out of my way to help others regardless of what CL or position they may be and have handled delicate situations in the past with no issues. I genuinely believe I'm a good teacher and can be relied upon by members of Site-65 as a whole, ensuring relations are well maintained, medical is running smoothly and providing RP oppurtunites whenever I can.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Medicine in RP?:
The responsibilites of a DoM is to ensure all aspects of medical is running smoothly, handing out tasks and managing their consultants, combat medics and doctors. They should also be mentoring new consultants and assisting them whenever they can. The position of DoM is heavily relied upon by all CL4 members at any point in time, especially in urgent cases and must be prepared to do so, giving clear communication throughout. DoM's should also ensure that documentation, polices, agreements, etc are up to date and in order.
Please give some lore about your Director of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
While the DEA and O5 Council are still suspicious of Khori and her Sarkic nature, they allow her to operate and progress within the Site, noting down things of interest like how she prevented a Proto-Nalkan attack within HCZ and has constantly reported suspicious behaviour that may be connected to Nalkan Faith. She was briefly a suspect within one of the previous -3's death but she was cleared. They still remain suspicious and monitor her closely, a major note being that Khori has felt more comfortable using her abilities in the open to help others which has recieved mixed opinions by site personnel but not outright hatred or avoidence. Along with this, SOP units have noticed unknown individuals bearing the same iconography on Khori's jacket near the UNGOC's base, interacting with UNGOC operatives and being invited inside of the base. DEA speculate that Khori's sect wish to begin diplomatic relations as the GOC are known to recongise members of the Nalkan faith as protected indivuals and that SOP units should monitor the individuals, increase surveillance on Miss Cross as a precaution and to start dialogue with GOC as these indivuals are directly connected with a Site-65 member. The outcome is unknown but Site-65 will be on high alert until this situation is resolved. Will it be for the better or worse? We shall see...
