What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
I am applying for the role of Committee Member.
I am doing this for a few reasons. One reason is that I have spent a lot of time working with Ethics and Omega 1 in the past and loved being able to create and participate in roleplay with them. Additionally, I wish to help further the server's RP climate forward with large roleplay scenarios; there's always something that ethics can be doing, and I really love that part of the position.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
Experience:
I believe my experience in the Vice Chairman role is really my biggest selling point. I participated in roleplay, engaged with ECA's and Omega 1, and just showed myself around the site during a time when there were no ethics members around. With help from Broda, I managed to learn and grow into the role, being able to answer ethical questions and eventually putting my own twist on the position. My time within the staff team as a super admin also gives me experience managing and communicating with people both within and out of roleplay.
Roleplay:
My roleplay has certainly changed over the years. I started as a minge, someone who didn't really care to roleplay. Since then, I believe I have really changed. I participate in storylines, much like the recent player-run Omega 1 storyline, in which I was a major contributor. I love spontaneous, natural roleplay, and I believe you need a good mix of both serious but also fun roleplay to create an enjoyable environment to play.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
The biggest responsibility is controlling the FLC and making changes as needed. Additionally, they have power over Omega 1; with this power, they should be handing out roleplay tasks and orders as well as utilizing them for major and minor roleplay situations and pushing them forward. Much like Omega 1, they also control the Ethics Committees' assistance; they can carry out orders given to them by the Committee, and should be the first point of call for ethics-related issues.
Both in lore and on the server the Committee is a direct counterpart to the O5 Council, in situations where the Council crosses the line the Committee can vote on conducting primary action, in which the entire Council is to be replaced with people voted in by the Committee themselves, additionally they can vote to just kill a single member if needed, this is to be kept secret from the rest of the Foundation much like Ethics actual clearance level of 5, because of this lie they can very easily investigate and deal with anyone crossing the line due to the misconception of them being 'pencil pushers'.
During tribunals, they can be presiding judges, deciding the guilt of the defendant and deciding the punishment too.
Additionally, they can authorise advanced armoury during a breach if deemed needed, and as a final resort, can activate the on-site failsafe if it's needed.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g., what applications do they handle?):
For applications, they deal with Ethics Assistants and the Director of Internal Affairs applications, vetting the candidates, providing feedback, and conducting interviews on successful applicants. They are involved in the voting for new Ethics Committee members. They also have a say in the Commander of Omega 1; they can also leave feedback, either privately or publicly, on applications they are not directly involved in.
They are also a crucial voice for the server; they need to keep an eye out on the current roleplay standards and situations, and be able to provide feedback to relevant parties, if there is a lack of roleplay for a department, for example medical, they should be able to help create something as to not have the department grow stagnant as that is a major killer of roleplay. They are also a point of call for people who may need assistance, and should be able to assist people if they need something they can help with.
They take part in Omega-1 regimental meetings and have the ability to sit in on other regimental meetings to keep in the loop with the rest of the server. Along with this, they work directly with O5 to properly create and foster roleplay and tackle any issues head-on. They are also there to support Site Administration to make sure they have sufficient support with the running and overview of departments.
They should also be able to create both in-game and external documents regarding tribunals, roleplay situations, summons, and other things, making sure each one is made to a high standard.
