Time zone: BST
Character name(s): Matt 'Pickle' Morgan
Civilian name: Andrew Matthews
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): UK
Do you have a mic?: Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- [Holding] Security Sergeant
- [Holding] ISD
- [Holding] DEA
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
No.
Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I have achieved Security Sergeant and I wish to further progress up the GSD Chain of Command because I believe I am capable of doing so, and I think it would be a great experience to be apart of the leadership team. Throughout all of my time on the CN server, I have basically always mained GSD and spent most of my time as GSD, so I feel the most comfortable here and therefor I think the position of a Security Captain is best suitable for me as my first CL4 position. As a Security Sergeant, I have had insight into some of the duties of a Security Captain, such as leading sweeps and guiding GSD during codes; my confidence in fulfilling these duties has gone up over time and is currently at a level where I'm quite comfortable. Becoming a Security Captain and CL4 will give me new duties, but also strengthen my ability to fulfill the duties I already own. I believe becoming a Security Captain will open up new opportunities for me in the future, but also make me apart of a community here, where at the end of the day, I can actually just have a good time and enjoy myself.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I believe my time spent as a Security Sergeant, although not long; around a week and a half, has already put me in a position where I am comfortable acting as leadership in the GENSEC Chain of Command, has strengthened my knowledge of the procedures within D-Block, and has given me experiences that I have learned and improved from. Although I do not have any previous CL4 experience, to compare how I felt when I first became a Security Sergeant, to now, I have become a lot more confident in fulfilling my duties, and I think that will transfer over to becoming a Security Captain, and that I will adapt into the position. As said before, I have mainly played as GENSEC while on the CN server, and I have the most experience here, so I believe I will do my best progressing in GENSEC compared to all other pathways.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
- Taking leadership of D-Block and ensuring it's operations run smoothly.
- Defending D-Block from external threats.
- Assinging POIs to GENSEC.
- Ensuring GENSEC fulfill their duties and follow guidelines.
- Guiding GENSEC during different codes.
- Authorizing and leading sweeps in D-Block.
- Giving work permits to D-Class.
- Hosting HWL and RCL tryouts.
- Responding to and excecuting orders from Security Chiefs.
- Scouting and interviewing officers for the position of Security Sergeant.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Matt 'Pickle' Morgan spent most of his life serving as a Correctional Officer, observing the worst of human nature, and had long mastered routine. But one day came that would change him forever. It started with a total blackout in HMP Wakefield, under the pretense of a 'system failure'. But Matt saw things in the dark, things he had never imagined, things he thought could never exist. Shortly after, all CCTV footage and other records of the day dissapeared, and the whole event was written off as a inconvenient power outage. No one remembered the truth.
Soon after, Matt was approached due to his experience at HMP Wakefield, and handling inmates with violent tendencies, which proved invaluable for a position in the GSD. After undergoing a highly classified recruitment process, Matt was assigned to Site-65 in Canada to serve as a member of the Site's General Security, which he soon adapted too, climbing the ranks to Security Sergeant and eventually Security Captain.
