  • BACKSTORY:

    Summary

E-11 Operative 'Nightshade' is an bio-anomalous human composed of both a mixture of typical Human DNA and dense plant matter. Her body is comprised of mostly highly flexible and strong plant fibers which give her strength comparable to that of an above average human male. She is known to have violent tendencies and outbursts that have placed her on a watch list by site command, though her violent outbursts tend to be manageable and therapy sessions have been helping. She is of average human intelligence, often preferring to avoid the studies and books instead wanting to train for more physical tasks.

Operative 'Nightshade' was located on a deployment in [REDACTED] South America after the foundation was dispatched due to reports of rapidly spreading vines that were tripping and trapping people in the forest. MTF ETA-10 (See-No-Evil) was deployed to search and recover any anomalies found in the area, after setting up a base camp in the forest area they kept receiving strange reports from their scanning equipment of a disguised humanoid in the area. Using their advantage, they managed to track down and capture 'Nightshade' who at the time was rather hostile with MTF operatives. While she was rather strong, she didn't stand a much of a chance against the cuffs and cages deployed by the MTF operatives. At this time 'Nightshade' spoke mostly in growls and hisses and it was assumed that they weren't capable of human speech.

Early testing with Operative 'Nightshade' assumed they were a violent humanoid SCP of child level intelligence, the tests started off hostile till they gained the trust of them. The first tests were done to see what type of food 'Nightshade' survived on, all attempts to feed the SCP anything plant based would result in them becoming hostile, they only ate meat products having strong preference towards venison, cooked or raw they would eat either. After months of testing and more intensive sessions with the SCP they were able to teach her basic English which proved that her intelligence level superseded that of which they believed it was during the original testing. During this advancement they also placed them in a therapy with Doctor [REDACTED] and this seemed to help squash most of their violent tendencies towards foundation staff.

It was reported by Doctor [Redacted] that most of the violence that was exhibited by 'Nightshade' came from the fact that they were being contained in a cell with limited access to floral or plant like material. It caused an extreme level of stress on them and this was quickly rectified when Doctor [Redacted] placed a requisition order with Site Administration for some plant material which was promptly approved, though due to the fact that it was unknown if 'Nightshade' could interact with plant material she was placed on a constant watch during the first two weeks of plant material being introduced. Though it appeared that their rage seemed to quell as the plant material was added. This seemed to help immensely during counseling and English learning sessions. Within a year she was completely manageable and fluent in English. It took a while longer roughly 2 years more before 'Nightshade' was offered their first opportunity within the foundation to escape the "SCP" status and instead become an employee of the foundation. Originally, they were offered a role as a shadow for E-11, where they followed them around for a while learning the procedures of the MTF unit. They were not granted a keycard during this time, instead they were escorted around and given very minimal information mostly just engaging during training sessions and PT sessions. After about another year they were finally offered a position as a private within MTF E-11, as it was determined that 'Nightshade' seemed to thrive in the position they were previously given working in the trainings and PT.

While we believe that it is safe to allow SCP-**** to roam free within our walls with MTF E-11, they are to be placed under strict review and constantly be checked up on by our foundation psychiatric personnel, any and all slippage back into their old violent tendencies against members of foundation personnel will immediately result in their SCP designation being reinstated. Below are a list of the strengths and weaknesses that we have found within the SCP.

    Strengths
    - Above Average Human Strength
-Plant fibers act as a very weak Kevlar and resist low caliber ammunition such as .22LR
-They appear to naturally heal and can regrow limbs if they are removed (See event [REDACTED])

    Weaknesses
-Fire (They instantly become fearful and run. For this reason, they are forbidden from any and all interaction with SCP 457)
    -Extreme cold
-They are harmable by standard caliber ammunition issued to foundation members
-Requires access to sunlight (Real or artificial) to remain strong, otherwise begins to wilt
