Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
I have deemed myself quite the administrative person in the time I have spent in ISD, which can be vouched by the few that I have spent time with inside of ISD, though most of my time has been in the records keeping department in which I have managed and ensured that documentation be efficient, I have found myself willing to take on more responsibilities rather than ascend to the same duty as a commissioner with little more to include on my daily duties, so I have chosen to instead reach for a higher position outside of ISD although I will still be maintaing my ISD role.
Now I was thinking about joining other departments for the experience however when my thought went to other departments such as Ethics Committee, MTF or maybe one of the roleplay-focused medical or research. I have deemed them all not really for my suitability as they do not feed exactly into my advantages as well as seek to improve my disadvantages. I have already explained that my advantages are administrative duties dealing with paperwork and ensuring certain operations are filed properly. I can deem my disadvantages from ISD is that I am unable to bring the site-wide assistance and foster relations as well as I could in ISD, and I wish to improve my skills in working with others in an administrative enviroment without being the 'policeman' to create such nerve to those around me. ISD does a lot of work in removing corrupt elements within the foundation, however I wish to also work closer with fostering the positives of the foundation rather than just taking out the negatives, hence I wish to pursue Site Advisor because in this role, I believe I can foster the positive elements of the foundation in this role.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:
+ Relations Inside SA & Good Social Skills.
I have good friends inside of site administration which makes me a capable colleague, in this list I do include the Bohemian, The Bald Man and the [File Size Too Large] are the few I can name currently. To further explain why having good relations will make me a suitable candidate, it is a show of social skill in that I am able to befriend others quite nicely inside of the site as well as make new friends outside departments as I do have many that I am friends with outside of my department including GSD Leadership.
+ Documentation & Bureaucratic Experience
I am going to place my experience as Records Keeping inside of ISD in this area, although my works are not exactly public knowledge to show examples of, I can provide details. I have wrote and help wrote many new templates within ISD, I have established documentation for Tribunals, the organisation of records including arrest reports, citations and evidence inside ISD wing, proceeding to ensure that on-site documentation regarding ISD operations are handed to the appropriate operations leader rather than left in a drop-off as well as ensuring documents are done properly by shredding those that do not include a date on them and disciplining the supervisor who signed it as well as informing the agent who made it on why it's important for Dates to be included on paperwork. I also ensure that documentation is graded on-site appropriately, and again. I have hunted some of my colleagues down for signing documentation as good despite missing sections, so I will ensure that all documentation and any type of administrative work is done properly to it's full extent. I have also done audits which I know is part of SA's duties as well, so that will be helpful.
+ Knowledge of Combatives
Although I don't wish to use my DEA experience here as I didn't achieve much in DEA except a few hostage situations whilst I was in it, and knowing how surface operations work (And getting so bored so quickly). I have also spent time in E-11 and GSD to know how basic combative duties work which means along the lines of ISD are combatives although don't do combative things, I can vouch that I have learnt what combatives do. So my array of knowledge is not limited in this area excluding the fact I have never participated in O-1 or A-1. This is important as SA has duties such as authorisation of AA, so it's basically a little addon that I know how these small things work, as well as know what a lot of departments do during code emergencies.
- Time Spent On Server
Now, I could go on and on about my positives however I have deemed it necessary to name one limitation that might prevent me from achieving Site Advisor to improve the quality of my application. I haven't spent a lot of time on the server as people could say 2-3 months isn't a lot of experience. In total, I have spent a lot of time on the server. I could see if I can get an admin to see my total time to show I have been on a lot for that time. But for right now, I can guarantee to you that I have spent a lot of time on the server as it was during summer months so outside of work, I could spend a lot of time on the server so I can say that although my time isn't long, my quality of time on the server should show that I have a lot of experience.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
> Appointment of Department Directors:
One of the main duties of Site Administration is to filter applicants for the role of Department Directors excluding ISD and Research, to see who would be the most appropriate for the role. Although Site Administration can usually do this through looking at applications of the person, they can also proceed with moreover on-site observation to see if the person can lead a department with capable hands as to ensure good leadership within a department, a person must be viewed from all angles rather than just looking at their work on paper.
> Maintenance & Auditing Departments
Another duty of Site Administration is to ensure that departments are functioning correctly. The site must be held up by the pillars of each department, and if one department begins to crumble then the structure will begin to collapse. Apart of Site Administrator duties is to ensure through departmental audits, observations of their general behaviour as well as quality reviews of their performance during active scenarios such as emergency codes that these departments are performing as they're meant to be and improving in any way they can. To keep the foundation strong and ever growing stronger in any way possible.
> The Oversight Of Site Operations
Site administration is to keep all Site Operations kept to a good standard, what is meant by this is that when taking looks into Research Policies such as sampling or operations performed by another department, Site Administration as can be seen on the documentation thesmelves, are one of the many departments who can authorise these types of actions as well as choose to deny it. This is because Site Administration has to make sure that these are all in good condition, if there is an issue with sampling, Site Admin can choose to shut it down. If a policy inside a department or if it's site-wide needs review, Site Admin will look at why it creates a null or negative effect and seek to make it a more effective policy by coordinating with other departments if required.
Furthermore, Site Admin are to also ensure that AA is used correctively during emergency codes as well as contribute to ensuring that departments are being used properly for each code. Example: Checkpoints recently have been unmanned, Site Admin can review and improve policies working with other departments to ensure that important stations of the site aren't left abandoned during emergency codes.
> Diplomatic Endeavours
SA has to supervise DEA and NU-7's dealing with GOI's. Making sure that all agreements do not compromise anything of the foundation, as well as include ways of improving how the site can improve relations with the GOIs, which may prevent clashes in the future, as bringing stable relations to those around the foundation will bring stability to the foundation itself.
> Get Involved With The Site
Site Admin are rolemodels within the foundation, you need to get involved with the foundation in other ways than your basic duties to the foundation. You have to be present, get known and get close to people in the site. It's impossible to get every aspect of the foundation if you stick to a bureaucratic style of life, where you walk around in a suit and act important. You need to talk to every level of the foundation from Janitors to Tech Experts, Junior Researchers to Director of Research. No person in the foundation is below or too far away to interact with as Site Administration, and it is your unofficial duty to ensure that you try and work with all these people in some sort of way so that you can understand the site from every single point of view.
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Personnel File – Agent “Obsidian” Bane
Clearance Level: 3Affiliation: Internal Security Department (ISD)
Position: ISD Operative - Infiltration Unit
Current Assignment: Site-██
Biography
Agent Obsidian Bane served within ISD for several years in a surveillance capacity. Tasked with close monitoring and infiltration of Mobile Task Forces and site personnel, he developed a reputation as an operative. Reliable and thorough in fieldwork, Agent Obsidian became routinely reassigned between departments to observe, report, and provide ISD with intelligence inside other departments.Agent Bane has expressed growing dissatisfaction with continual field assignment and the morality of his role. He has requested reassignment to administrative duties, citing strengths in documentation, record maintenance, and procedural compliance. Site Leadership has authorized consideration of a transfer pending evaluation and placement.
Notable considerations: Agent Bane has been subject to memory removal procedures in the past related to operational security. This has reduced his personal history to little more than his Foundation service which remains as working as an operative for the Internal Security Department.
Transcription Log – Meeting with Leadership
Date: ██/██/20██Location: Site-██ Meeting Room
Participants:
- Agent “Obsidian” Bane
- ISD Commissioner ████████
- ISD Director ███████
ISD Director: Agent Obsidian, your record is extensive. Your work regarding Epsilon-11 is impressive. What is it you wish to discuss?
Agent Obsidian: Director, I’m finished with it all. I am an asset to the foundation in my work other than being this rat. I’m out, no more. I’m sticking to the books.
ISD Commissioner: You’re ISD, Bane. Surveillance of the negative elements of the foundation is your duty. That’s what makes us so important.
Agent Obsidian: With respect, I’ve done enough with using tweezers to rip out the smallest piece of rot from every corner of the foundation. My service has become nothing more than being a traitor to everyone but the foundation. I don’t enjoy betraying a bunch of people at my job on a daily basis. Just assign me to record keeping, I’ll file other people’s surveillance and I’ll do my work, just don’t send me out there again. I’ve had enough.
ISD Director: So you’re asking to abandon surveillance work?
Agent Obsidian: I’m asking for new opportunities. ISD taught me the value of records. I want to sit in an office and keep this site stable, to put my skills into administration where they can make a difference.
ISD Commissioner: You’d turn your back on the work you’re so close to completing? The work you’ve done inside these different departments just went to waste?
Agent Obsidian: I never served these other departments. I served the Foundation. And I can serve it better with a desk and reports than hidden in the walls watching each department conspire that they want to install a new dish washer without site command approval.
ISD Director: Very well. If you believe you can prove yourself in administration, I will authorize the transition. But remember this, Bane, ISD never discards its tools.
Agent Obsidian: nods, tone unwavering Then I will prove I’m not a tool anymore, Director. I’m an asset.
[END LOG]
[BEGIN POST-LOG, NOT RECORDED TO TAPE, TRANSCRIBED FROM NOTE]
(ISD Director and ISD Commissioner remain in the conference room after Agent Bane exits.)
ISD Director: It is... sad, really. He is so thoroughly unattached from anything outside the Foundation. If he had retained his life before recruitment, he might have been an office worker somewhere, comfortable and ordinary. Instead he knows nothing but protocol and duty. That kind of erasure creates loyal personnel for the foundation, but it also removes the roots of his humble beginnings. At least he has gained some autonomy.
ISD Commissioner: He is useful. That loss of his history is part of his usefulness.
ISD Director: Precisely why we can go ahead with this despite the loss of a good infiltrator. Approve the transfer, but schedule a psychiatric examination of Agent Obsidian. I’ll go ahead with the report to Site Administration, see if they wish to take him on. Although I doubt that his skills in this work will wear off in his time with Site Admin, moreover I believe they will be used more than he ever used them whilst in ISD.
