Why are you applying for Security Captain?:
I am eager to join Gensec leadership and believe I would be a strong candidate for the role of Captain. My extensive experience with GSD, including several years of active involvement and over a year serving as Captain, has equipped me with the skills and insight necessary for this position. I am committed to helping Gensec grow, supporting its members, and contributing to the overall improvement of the site. Additionally, I aspire to advance through the clearance levels, and taking on the Captain role would be a valuable step towards future opportunities, such as SA or COS positions.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
As mentioned, I have extensive experience within GSD, which has allowed me to continuously grow and refine my skills over time. I have served in multiple roles, including Old Sergeant and Riot Sergeant (the predecessors to the current Officer and SCU roles), as well as being a previous Captain and current sergeant. Additionally, I was part of the staff team that organized the General Security rework, where I contributed to the overhaul of nearly every document.
During the period when HH was a subdivision of Gensec, I held a leading position directly below the Commanders, playing an active role in its operations. I have also contributed to other subdivisions, and at one point, was appointed Head of Chemical Gathering for my efforts.
What makes me a strong candidate for Captain is not just my experience, but also my personal qualities. I am amiable, responsible, and capable of maintaining composure under pressure. I have consistently demonstrated effective leadership, applying firm direction when necessary, while maintaining a positive rapport with those I lead. My past tenure as Captain was well-received by colleagues, and I aim to bring that same level of dedication and approachability back into the role. I am also more active now.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
Captains have several responsibilities both in and out of RP. It is important for them to stick to these responsibilities to set a good example for GSD.
Some responsibilities include:
Leading over Gensec and D-block
Training and organizing tryouts for members of GSD
Writing documentation for Gensec leadership
Maintaining positive relations with other departments
Maintaining a secure environment in the facility
Aiding MTFs in C1s, C3s, C4s and C5s when needed
Dealing with C2s in D-block
Organising sweeps when needed
Training high level GSD into becoming Sergeants or Captains
