For how long have you played on CG SCP: Over 500 hours in-game, started playing around 7 months ago
Age: 17
In what country are you located?: Czechia
Time zone: GMT +1
Character name(s): 'Typhoon' (Jerma 'Typhoon' Avaritia')
Civilian name: John Jones
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): UK
Do you have a mic? Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: Current Security Captain, Former Security Chief, Former CI-C BCOM, Former O-1 CPL, Former A-1 LCPL, Former E-11 CSG, Former Nu-7 SPC,
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: Yes, 2 warnings shortly after i joined Civil Networks (over 7 months ago.) As a former Senior Moderator i have good knowledge of the rules nowadays.
Why are you applying for the Chief of Security?: Security captain is usually the only job I play when I am on the server, I gave up all other regiments and CI long time ago. As you can see above, I have tried everything, but I have always come back to GENSEC. I have no desire to move to another department anymore and will remain loyal to this department - I see great potential in it and want to help developping it. That's why I am looking for a senior position in the security, as it would allow me to improve the department even more efficiently.
What makes you suitable for Chief of Security?: As an ex-Chief (resigned to take a position in CI Command) and a long running Captain i have a lot of experience in the security department. In the time I have been Captain, I have developed my leadership, decision-making and communication skills. Security is the department I have spent the most time in on the server, and I want to keep it that way - the first combat job everyone has to go through is GENSEC, and some of the newer players are a bit lost sometimes - I am always happy to help them out if they need it. I have been told and I believe I can make a difference, more as a Chief than as a Captain, and I want to use that potential. I am fulfilling all my duties as a Captain and still have free time, so I can help the current Chief by joining him. I have already taken over 2 areas of responsibility of security captains - those being Documents and field work. Last but not least, I am currently the only Captain rated Excellent in the GENSEC data sheet in the department's reputation section.
What are the responsibilities of the Chief of Security in RP?: The Chief, in my view, serves as a link between the site administration and the rest of security. This includes the Captain's duties, namely: Conducting sweeps of lower D-Block, crediting security forces that prevent the D-Class from escaping and not escorting, hosting RRT and Heavy Weapons trainings and ensuring that the D block is adequately manned, sending out patrols into the LCZ and/or stationing chackpoints and assigning other security personnel to them.
Please give some lore about your Chief of Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Jerma Avaritia. Born in New Mexico to a Czech mother and an American father. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy and joined the US Navy as an officer. He was assigned to a carrier flagship that one day encountered an anomaly and was transported to an alternate reality, from which he was rescued by SCP Foundation personnel after an extended period of time. After lengthy interrogations, he was offered a job in the security department of Site 65 in the UK - months had passed since the original disappearance of the flagship and everyone on it had been declared dead, and the Foundation could not afford any data leaks about the flagship. He reluctantly accepted the job offer.
[DATA EXPUNGED]
He was horrified, angry and sad. For a while after the incident, his head was buzzing with emotions. He had always had the potential to get to the top, he just did not know it yet. And now he had an ambition. Because he did not want the same thing to happen to anyone ever again. Driven by his feelings, he began to climb the ranks, now that he knew what mattered: making a difference. And he made it.
