Why are you applying for Director of Internal Security?:
For a long time I have been wanting to become the Director of ISD for the chance to make it my own, setting up new policies and procedures along with better organisation and an emphasis on roleplay over rule play however I had given up on this dream because I never thought the previous Directors would ever resign but yesterday it happened and as such I'm taking the opportunity to get back at that desire to become the new Director.
First of all I have been seeing more and more potential with ISD that has been left untapped by the self imposed limits people have placed upon themselves in ISD and the fact that most have not seen this potential, with the recent increase in ISD activity as well I do not wish to squander this potential. The idea going forwards is to broaden the horizon for ISD, it is ISDs job to uphold security in the site but many people forget that this is not simply just for FLC violations but the overall security as well, to sum up a few points it is also in our purview to deal with information breaches, the safety and security of site personnel and to ensure that all personnel are furthering progress/performing their duties on site. Although it took me a while to realise it myself I feel as if we have neglected major parts in our duties in the favour of pursuing FLC violations and as such we have stunted our own roleplay and limited opportunity for further consequential roleplay with tribunals and hearing, which I will discuss further down. As such one of the first things I will do if I became the Director and something I am and will be doing in the meantime as Commissioner is to organise ISD to pursue this broader horizon allowing more variation and opportunities for ISD to have.
As I've mentioned previously another thing I would do as Director is to better organise ISD, one of the biggest complaints we have had recently is a repeated number of audits against departments with little moderation and too high a frequency of these audits. These issues have stemmed from a lack of organisation within the department in relation to who is doing what, what I want to do here is not make it so everyone reports back on everything that happens but instead for a lot more logs to be made in relations to our activities such as audits to not only prevent a department being unfairly audited repeatedly in a small timeframe but also to pass on the findings of those audits a lot more smoother, this would also allow better monitoring of our activities by SA and SC along with leaving an easily led trail to follow back from any concerns or complaints that may prop up, such as missing documents. I know that we currently perform logs and reports mostly in game and I would like to keep it that way, and further it in many ways, however a small logging system outside of documents that people can easily access and view such as a simple thread could vastly improve organisation all around. Continuing on with organisation I feel there is a lot of confusement and misconceptions that float around ISD that not even I am fully aware of, this could be something as simple as the happenings of recent events or investigations and critical information that is not properly passed on between people along with numerous concerns that do not get properly heard, as such I want to set up and increase communication within both the leadership team of ISD and the general ISD personnel with meetings and briefings. Meetings would be hosted in order to discuss ideas and complaints between people along with announcing new changes which can be done both OOC and IC where as briefings would be a purely IC thing in which we share information such as major discoveries, announce new operations and plan our investigations, I will be adding more RP aspects to briefings to increase immersion and will be expecting similar from ISD leadership, small things such as preparing a slideshow, talking points between different people e.g. in the creation of a new operation the person hosting the briefing would announce the operation then hand the floor over to whoever is in charge of the operation and perhaps one of two other personnel with expertise in the matter or a liaison from another department who will be assisting with this. Finally the last thing I wish to increase majorly in organisation within ISD is the operations/investigation themselves, the current system we have been using is that someone creates an operation, announcing and posting it in discord, then either performing the operation with ISD themselves in game or personnel go out of their way to contribute to the operation. Although this is simple and has worked decently well I feel it has created stagnation within both what operations people create and how they carry them out, in addition to this we have a group within ISD whose job it is to maintain/oversee operations but I feel investigations are so much the bread and butter of ISD that this really only hampers ISD and hasn't been properly handled. Due to this I want to re-work our operations with the intention of better management of operations, increased variation in operations and more enjoyment in them.
Finally there is a whole spew of others Ideas I wish to implement as Director, the first being to create a new approach to trainings in ISD to suit the Re-Work of operations and to promote more trainings, another is to set up a new system for managing and promoting tribunals & hearings as most ISD members find it discouraging going through the process of requesting tribunals or hearings, introduction of an ISD oversight/recommendations group to assist departments in maintaining security of sensitive information/operations, expansion of ISD duties for agents and investigators in order to allow them more RP potential, working with other departments to sort out issues and concerns of power tripping and over stepping within ISD and vice versa.

What makes you suitable for Director of Internal Security?:
I believe myself to be a suitable Director for ISD given my experience on the server and long time serving in ISD, I have been in ISD for roughly 8 months straight now having worked my way up the ranks to commissioner, during this time I have created numerous operations and RP interactions for people to participate in along with playing a part in dealing with major issues both in house and externally with departments such as the initial re-work with ISD inductions to make them more informative and allow people to learn more from them and dealing with major issues such as the problems when it comes to arrest certain groups of people such as AO. In addition to all of this I have been on the server for a long time having played a variety of parts and I have a lot of insight into each department, this has allowed me to adjust how ISD operate at times to suit with others in order to damage their workings or impede them, it also allows me to add more RP elements into the mix using my knowledge of each department.
Furthermore I have been an active force within the department, in game I have been organising and managing ISD in the conduct of their duties and the pursuit of our operations, along with pushing heavily on inspectors and investigators to do the same, I have also spent much time meeting with other departments and discussing issues with each other and what we will do moving forwards to fix those issues along with working together with other departments to grow closer and work together. Out of game I have been attempting change many times, a fair amount of things I posted in my reasoning for applying for Director have been some of those changes I have been actively pursuing, some of the more major things I have done on an OOC basis is setting up and responding to feedback from ISD and others, attempting to define appropriate arrest times for people based on RP value to the server as people who are actively contributing to RP should not be punished for doing so, dealing with multiple issues that show up for ISD or others that involve ISD such as when people seemed to be contacting Dimitri directly for every single problem they have with ISD including dming him when he is actively offline to deal with a situation in which inspectors or commissioners are actively on the server and are capable of dealing with them.

What are the responsibilities of the Director of Internal Security in RP?:
The Director of Internal Security has the responsibility of upholding the FLC at the highest level, actively enforcing the FLC themselves and ensuring all ranks within ISD are actively enforcing it as well, through all the means at their disposal such as investigations and operations into FLC violators or areas in which possible FLC violations may occur.
Appointing Inspectors and Commissioners, they will respond to applications submitted for Inspectors and host their interviews along with ensuring they are trained on their duties by themselves or a Commissioner. They will promote an Inspector to Commissioner when they believe they are deserving of the position and will personally run them through the duties of a Commissioner.
Managing and Maintaining department policies and procedures so that it is clearly understood by all within the department what they should and should not do along with ensuring that standards within the department are kept high. In addition they should be managing the leadership team in order to ensure they too are enforcing these standards and policies within the department.
Dealing with complaints and suggestions for ISD in order to change and improve. This may entail working with other departments and players in order to properly facility these changes such as SA SC or SL depending on what it is.
Working with other department leaders to ensure proper is being created and maintained within the server to create and enjoying and inclusive experience for all the players in the server not just those within their own departments.
Development of the department, ensuring that ISD is constantly attempting to improve upon itself and expand further and further into the future making beneficial changes for the enjoyment of the players, enhancement of roleplay and ease of management, along with leaving behind the grounds for which new players and CL4 members can take over in the future and carry on upholding and improving the department.
