Why are you applying for Security Captain? I believe that the need for competent Captains is a necessity when it comes to the overall efficiency and capabilities of GENSEC. Someone who is able to maintain their cool under pressure and dish out orders without coming off as a jerk is something that is hard to come by, and those are qualities that I posess. There's times where Captains might not even be present during non-peak hours, and the lack of leadership starts to shine when the general number of security aren't being reigned in and guided on what to do and how to do it - and I am fully capable of being present, during both peak hours and otherwise. Though I haven't spent years in this server in particular, or have held multiple whitelisted/CL4 positions like other candidates, I have a skillset and a nature that would allow me to carry out duties specific to being a Captain that would help maintain good morale and effectiveness within the ranks.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?: While I have amassed a genuinely insane amount of time on Garry's Mod in general, I also have the real life experience that may help translate to some aspects within GENSEC. While I don't talk about it much and really don't want to, the fact that I am actively serving as a soldier in the United States Army and have held NCO positions in my last unit and current unit would easily push the bar up to make up for the lack of total time I have spent on CG. I will be expected to maintain and keep good order and discipline in GENSEC while actively playing as a Captain, and to make sure the bad apples are rooted out and that security's good behavior does not go unrewarded - which are all tasks that I will be more than capable of handling, and more.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?: A Security Captain, first and foremost, are the active leaders of GENSEC in the absence of the Chief of Security, and thus must ensure the safety and security of the D-Block as well as ensuring people are where they need to be (example being SCU maintaining HCZ, SRU patrol kits are keeping the halls clear and ensuring the safety of non-combatives, etc). On top of general duties, they are expected to keep an eye on D-Block and discern whether or not a code 2 and/or a sweep would be necessary based on the descriptions given by the GENSEC handbook. Handling the work permits of D-Class is also a secondary duty, though I am sure that is more of the duty of the Senior Captains, not the Juniors.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Andrew O'Callaghan, born August 1st [REDACTED] and raised in [REDACTED], Pennsylvania to a second Generation of Irish immigrants. As a young child, Andrew experienced such an amount of violence that a kid should never have to - his own father berating and beating him over the smallest of infractions, or even if he just felt like taking his anger out on someone. Even with his mother around, who you'd expect would drop in and help their child, simply accepted and even encouraged young Andrew to do the things that angered his father. Frustrated but without the means of leaving, he simply had to endure this through his years, and somehow even achieving excellent grades in his schooling, all the way through high school.
After all this time living in his abusive household, he grew used to it - the bruises and beatings were nothing more than a reminder that he was to grow into a better person than his parents had set him out to be, and to especially become a better man than his father ever was. At the prime age of 18, and finally graduating from [REDACTED] High School, he had his eyes set on College in order to get an education for one, but was also an attempt for him to get away from his family. Unfortunately for him, he had no money to his name, nor a scholarship - and with things getting worse and his father's anger getting worse as he aged, he felt forced to make a hasty decision. This decision ultimately led to him enlisting and getting a quick-ship contract, and within two weeks he was shipped out and away from their belligerence.
Andrew enlisted under an 11B Infantryman contract with Airborne, and after completing his basic and OSUT, he was a fully fledged soldier, even gaining many variations of the nickname 'Breadly' which eventually stuck, due to eating obscene amounts of bread rolls at chow - eventually going to and graduating Airborne school. Life, although a little difficult, was looking brighter. He was sent to Fort [REDACTED] in Alaska, and had an opportunity for Ranger School. Jumping on the opportunity, he took the offer and two months later, he came out tabbed and felt invincible, ready to go back to his unit. Fortunately for him, an upcoming deployment was on it's way to Afghanistan, every Infantryman's dream. His Battalion was deployed, and while they entered the country feeling impenetrable and undefeatable, they left 9 months later with less manpower than when they started. Buddies who he had considered family returned with purple hearts or in a flag-draped casket.
Years following this, he had completed enough college through his benefits to qualify him for a commission - undergoing OCS and entering the ranks as a 2nd Lieutenant. He spent only a few more years following this in the Army, eventually leaving the service as a 1st Lieutenant and finding work elsewhere. Along his path in life, he suddenly made the abrupt decision to move to Canada with a new lover - nestling in near [REDACTED] and finding work as Security for an American Embassy. Only a year had passed before a car accident took his other half from him, his wife dying in the ER as a result of her injuries. Unable to maintain himself in such an empty household, he went back to what he knew best, leading. He sold the house they had bought together, applied to [REDACTED] Security Contracting, and got an elevated position of maintaining and training incoming employees.
It was at this point, he was contacted.

It's not really specified how GENSEC gets it's guards, other than where they pick them from, otherwise I would've fleshed out the remainder of this lore.
