Feb 10 - I was being an idiot and running from people when they had their guns on me.
Feb 16 - I accidentally said something that had a double meaning to it, and was also just being a douchebag for no reason and I have changed since then
Mar 25 - I was running from people who had guns on me
Apr 30 - I actually don’t remember this one
Jul 19 - Running from people who had guns on me.
I have genuinely changed since I got these warnings and have been making an effort to stay at my best behavior since those warnings.
Why are you applying for Director of External Affairs?
I am applying for the position of Director of External Affairs because I wish to take a more substantial role in improving the department I have spent my time on the server in. This department has been my home while I've been on this server and I feel that stepping into the Director role would give me the opportunity to contribute to higher-level RP, provide more impactful leadership, and shape the department into something great while providing the best experience for people within the department.
What makes you suitable for Director of External Affairs?:
I am suitable for Director of External Affairs because of my experience, my leadership, willingness to step in and lead during situations, and more. I believe I can use the experience I've gained through my time working with the Directors during my time as a Manager and properly apply that as a Director to run this department properly. I am able to handle situations appropriately, as shown when dealing with issues brought up during any treaty break reports, and when people have issues within the department. I have also taken the initiative to lead RP during dire times for the Foundation, for example introducing a new treaty during the recent war with the Chaos Insurgency. I am always open to assist people when I'm on and off and have assisted the Directors with tasks they have assigned to me with efficiency. I am recently coming off of an LOA, but before then I had a long record of great activity on the server and I will continue to have a long record of great activity. I feel that all this and more makes me suitable for Director of External Affairs.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of External Affairs in RP?:
-Managing the Department of External Affairs
-Overseeing diplomatic missions between GOIs like the GOC and CI
-Coordinating treaty discussions
-Supervising not only DEA Agents and Special Agents, but also ensuring your managers have a sense of direction
-Leading and approving raids and infils against hostile GOIs
-Appointing new Special Agents and training them
-Representing DEA as a leader and ensuring relations are good not only externally but internally
-Ensure recruitment and trainings are happening within the department
-Creating and reviewing department policies
-Ensuring punishment guidelines are going followed
Please give some lore about your Director of External Affairs character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Dale Dawson was a simple man born in Prescott, Arizona with a family who focused their whole life on law. From a young age he developed a fascination to politics and studied political science and international relations. Due to his family's legal background, he got a great start working in various diplomatic and security contracting roles abroad. During this time, Dawson enlisted in the military, serving multiple years in intelligence. He showed great operational discipline and negotiation instincts, which made him a good fit for government contracting work after leaving from active duty after 4 years. During government contracting, he was part of multiple diplomacy missions, which led him into an encounter with an unknown terrorist organization. His calm presence and ability to defuse tense situations drew the Foundation’s attention after he successfully negotiated during an encounter involving this unknown terrorist organization.
Starting in Site security, he quickly proved his talent for de-escalation and diplomacy, earning a transfer to the Department of External Affairs. Over the years, Dawson worked his way up through the ranks, eventually attaining the position of Senior Agent within the department and a position within their BORTAC department. After a year of consistent performance on the field, assisting upper leadership, fulfilling orders, and assuming leadership during critical moments, Dawson was promoted to the rank of Special Agent.
In this position, Dawson led multiple raids on hostile GoIs, spearheaded multiple diplomatic missions to recover kidnapped personnel and assets, assisted in multiple treaty meetings, and played a key role during the reformation of the BORTAC sub-regiment. His excellent operation record and leadership was recognized by upper management and received the role of Department Manager.
As Dpt. Manager, Dawson was appointed head of BORTAC through his operational excellence and proven reliability. He took part in many important missions, supporting tactically and diplomatically. Additionally, he helped lead the efforts to renegotiate a new Surface Treaty after the previous treaty had become voided following fights between the Chaos Insurgency and the Foundation.
