What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA):
USA
Do you have a mic?:
Yes
-
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
Consultant, Combat Medic, UNGOC SGT
-
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
Yes, I got a name con on my first day for trying to use the nickname "Jew", which I am. But I understand why that could be taken as some type of religious issue.
-
Why are you applying for the Director of Medicine?
It has always been one goal of mine to reach DoM. After the recent departure of a good friend and mentor, Director Weebe, I felt pushed to apply especially after hearing how much faith they had in me, and how they thought I was ready for the position. I also believe that I am ready for the position as well. I have put some sweat and emotion into medical and I only want to continue to improve it more. We have a really good core of consultants right now and I would love nothing more than to step up, mentor them, and see them bring on and train the next generations of medical. I believe as a director of medicine I can do more than just improve medical as well, I want to improve the whole of the site. I want to make everyone's lives better and always give people someone to turn to in a time of need.
-
What makes you suitable for Director of Medicine?:
I believe that I honestly have all the qualifications to be a director, and then some. My life blood on the server is the medical department. I take genuine joy in healing people, but I also know when to be serious. I know what actions need to be taken in most situations involving the medical department. I love setting up RP in medical as well, such as giving SCP-049 access to our facilities to coordinate medical care, blood drives, inoculations, and more. I love being a bridge between departments as well, liaising, coordinating, planning, building relations, etc. I believe that, given the opportunity, I could continue to excel in medical, and eventually at a much higher level. But, also, I believe I could make everyone around me excel too.
-
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Medicine in RP?:
In RP the director has a ton of responsibilities in addition to the normal job of all medical personnel, Healing and Curing, those being:
Liaising between departments
Coordinating with SC, SA, and Ethics
Supervising the consultants running the day-to-day processes of the medical bay
Warning and job banning people who become issues by breaking medical rules, CoE, or CoC
Setting up RP events to keep personnel in medical interested and coming back
Contracting with other departments for use of the CMA
Contracting with other departments for the supply of medicines or chemicals they may need
Updating the Medical training processes should new rules require them to be updated
Giving work permits to Trustees for medical assistant or receptionist
Holding medical license and combat medic trainings
Updating and always improving medical documents such as the Psych evaluation or Prescription slips
Grading medical documents submitted by members of the medical department

Please give some lore about your Director of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Jonny Hartman grew up in small town Maine to a military family. He was the oldest of 7, and the only man. He led a normal, but busy childhood, growing up playing video games, playing football, scraping his elbows getting in the dirt. He always looked up those members of his family that had been in the military, so at the age of 17, with his parents' permission, he joined up too. He enlisted in the Army as an infantryman and spent 5 years being stationed between various jobs and assignments, while serving on a combat deployment he was involved in 2 incidents, both having been IEDs on patrol roots, he survived the first explosion well enough, but the second one ripped through his left leg and lower back. Still to this day it gives him permanent pain and constantly reminds him of his time overseas. While in recovery, he did manage however to obtain his ASN, thinking he would become a nurse like the folks that have helped him. After his medical discharge from the military for the aforementioned injuries sustained, he fell into a hole of sorts. He felt like he couldn't crawl out of it. He got stuck at some dead-end civilian job, turns out you can't really work as a nurse, if you can't be on your feet constantly. He found himself in the bar every night, slowly wasting himself away. His father, however, took notice of this, and decided to pull some strings. Unbeknownst to Jonny, his father was actually a member of some organization called the "SCP Foundation". He didn't know anything about it, but he figured he would give it a shot, especially if his dad recommended it. Sitting down at his interview, they started going over the basic hoopla, and then something struck a chord with Jonny. They said they could fix his leg, ease his pain, and give him the chance to be a doctor. He was somewhat incredulous, but looking at what his life was now, he decided to give it a chance. With that, an invitation was extended, and he found himself and the interviewing being whisked away to what they called Site-17.
What follows is an excerpt of the conversation between Hartman and the Recruiter his father set him up with.

"So, Hartman, did you ever believe that things like this existed? Ever think that something actually DID go bump in the night?" the recruiter asks.
"Honestly, yeah, I've always thought that there was more to what the normal eye sees." He says,
running his hand along a "Please report any and all Cognitohazards" poster
"Now, the offer we have given you still stands. You can receive treatment here, and we can get you an orientation or you can go back to what your life was before"
The recruiter hands him a small vial of gray fluid. "Drink that and we can forget all of this happened. You'll never have to worry about it again."
Jonny paused, surveying the vast array of medical treatments facilities through the windows before him. Hundreds of patients being wheeled around, going to and from surgery and medical checkups.
"I can be a part of all this. You can fix me so I can fix them?"
"That and more" The recruiter said. "Much, much, more for a man of your talents and your experience"
Jonny hands the vial back to the recruiter, "Show me the way."

Hartman spent the next five years of his life devoted to the foundation. Devoted to finishing his studies, and getting a medical license through the foundation accelerated medical school. He above all was devoted to caring for his patients, helping his coworkers, bettering his surroundings. Hartman moved up the ranks quickly, starting with a one up due to his nursing license, ha jumped up to being a senior doctor very quickly. Site-17 command tried to make him take some extended leave but they couldn't keep him away. He was always struck by new ideas, new treatment possibilities, new events for his staff. Naturally when a slot opened up he applied for consultant position and he was naturally accepted very quickly. But, He still had the drive to continue to go higher.

"Ah, Consultant Hartman, how are you doing today?" The recruiter says to him, stepping into Jonny's office
Jonny, lifting an eyebrow, says "I was doing great until I heard your voice coming through my door. What is it today? Have you got more trainees to drop into my lap? Need another authorization to test on [REDACTED]?"
The recruiter frowns, "No, no, I've come to you today to give you an offer."
"An offer? I swear to God if you're trying to get me to buy int-" He begins
"NO. No absolutely not. Even im not crazy enough to get that missive pushed through. But, yes, an offer. Have you ever thought of going to Canada?" The old recruiter says.
"Yeah, I am from Maine, strangely enough i've never been." Jonny says
"Well then my friend do I have the opportunity of a lifetime for you." The recruiter says
Jonny snaps backs, "Don't pretend we are friends, I don't even know your real name. 'Recruiter'. But I am interested in this proposal. What is it?'
"Site 65", the recruiter says, "They need a new medical director, they just lost one of their 2. When that posting hit SCIPnet I had to let you know."
"Forward that to me, I may just have to apply." Hartman declares.
