Why are you applying for Director of Research?
I have been a member of the RSD team for five months and have enjoyed the whole trip. RSD is in a good place but there's gaps that need to be addressed and I want to maintain the quality of RSD. I want to ensure our junior personnel get the protections they need from both D-class personnel and CI. Along with making projects to keep the junior personnel engaged and make sure they improve to become great writers and testers.
What makes you suitable for Director of Research?:
I am suitable for Director of Research because I have been an Executive for five months along with leading CRB to be an active part of RSD. I already have leadership experience and I am not afraid to play an authoritative role when needed. I have led many high stress projects to the satisfaction of Site inspection members along with making sure the Junior personnel receive the help they need when doing their tests. I set high standards to improve the abilities of Junior personnel's skill in writing tests along with making sure its enjoyable for everyone involved. Junior personnel tend to go to either me or Josh Blondeau when they need to help make sure a test is good enough to be ran or need assistance due to our availability.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?:
The Director of Research's responsibilities should prioritize the needs of the department as a whole and make decisions that best improve the quality of life of research along with maintaining a healthy relationship with other departments. The Director of Research is the voice of the department and should be the first to speak when any foundation wide change is done to ensure everyone in RSD won't be negatively impacted by it. The Director of Research also has to play an authoritative role when its beyond the scope of an executive and has to step up to maintain the reputation of RSD and its relations. The Director of Research also has to maintain the hiring,promotions and demotions of executive personnel to make sure they are fit for the role.
Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Jeremy 'Kaboing' Heinz is a natively born American in his thirties. Their friends call them Kaboing. He moved to Canada in an attempt to escape mysterious happenings that started to occur when he was in his twenties. This was when he discovered that he might have been anomalous in a different way, he is the embodiment of Murphy's Law. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong and with drastic occurrence. Site 65 picked him up as a researcher to monitor his unlucky nature, to help aid in this he follows up on every procedure and never cuts corners. He enjoys the research department because of his creative nature and dealing with the worst thing that could happen constantly desensitized him to all things anomalous. The only that truly surprises him is when things go off without a hitch, he continues in research because it's what calls to him.
His proudest achievements have been maintaining CRB to ensure the Foundation meets its chemical needs and continues to research how chemicals affects SCPs.He has crosstest 049 with 008 in an attempt to see if the Doctor could cure SCP-008 which unfortunately didn't pan out for them. There has also been a crosstest with SCP-682 and SCP-999 to see if SCP-999 will make SCP-682 easier to sample. This has been a proven way to keep SCP-682 calm ,but the effects are temporary. Along with aiding Site Inspection in their projects, Jeremy 'Kaboing' Heinz will continue to push their anomalous nature and will continue to help RSD innovate in an attempt to Secure,Contain and Protect.
