Why are you applying for Director of External Affairs?:
- I have been in this server for almost a year now but haven't held a command role. With this being one of my goals, I'm hoping I can achieve this goal by making Director and be here for many more months to come. I am also applying to further the help I can do for DEA by being a head representative of all of DEA and help us stand out more as not only people that do relations. Mainly what I'm trying to say is I want to be Director to make DEA the best it could be and I believe I can do that with the great management team we have and with my past and current experience.
What makes you suitable for Director of External Affairs?:
- I have a long history of being in leadership positions including a couple of them being in this server. I feel with my experience I would make a great Director as I already know what is expected of me as well as the job that I am expected to do and complete. I am also pretty active within the community so I am available a lot of the time through discord whenever I'm not ingame. Lastly, I would say I have pretty good relations with most players everywhere and get along with a lot of people. This meaning, I am a pretty open person and would be great with handling relations and everything expected from it.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of External Affairs in RP?:
- Accepting Special Agent applications as well as appointing new Managers
- Managing relations with all GOIs
- Maintaining department related docs
- Watching over all of DEA
- Enforcing the handbook and handing out punishments if needed
- Updating docs when needed
- Doing or approving raids or infils
- Being a main role model of DEA for others to look up to
- Making sure surface treaty is upheld on all sides
- Keeping the department active with trainings and tryouts as well as making sure others do their part
Please give some lore about your Director of External Affairs character and what storylines they would be involved in:
As a man who went through a lot of change in his life and career, Russ found himself as a member of the DEA. He's gone through GSD Captain, Nu7 MAJ, and has now made it up to the rank of a Manager. During his time in Nu7, he learned a lot about relations between the foundation and the GOIs around it. One day on a normal patrol with another Nu7, Russ and the other operative came under heavy gun fire. In the mix of bullets flying, the other operative with Russ was shot. Russ kept returning fire while helping the other operative attempt to bandage the wound. With no help around them and ammo running low, the operative told Russ to run for it while he held off the attackers. With much reluctance, Russ eventually gave in and decided to run for safety leaving his friend behind. After running a while away and looking back, he noticed the attackers they were fighting were standing over his friends body wearing whitish blue coats with a blue globe symbol on their sleeves. After realizing this was the UNGOC, he became enraged however continued to run. With one single shot ringing out, he knew that was the last time he'd ever see his friend again but wouldn't be the last he would see that same GOC Officer. After this event, Russ turned to a more diplomatic way to deal with things still keeping his "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality. Ever since that day, Russ has been working with DEA and GOC to find that man that was responsible for his friends death.
