Why are you applying for Site Advisor?

I'm applying for Site Advisor because I believe that I'm ready to take the experience I have gained throughout my time on the site and use it to make a bigger impact across the Foundation. A large part of my experience has been on Internal Security and as an Ethics Committee Assistant. This allowed me to observe many different departments, leadership styles, and situations across the site. While I have enjoyed the experience of acting as a bridge to the Ethics Committee, I want to move into a position where I can use that experience of leadership into something to help guide the site as a whole. One of my biggest goals as Site Advisor would be to improve the quality and consistency of RP across the site. I believe there is a lot of potential for departments to interact with one another outside regular gameplay loop and Site Admin has an amazing position to do that. I would like to help create more meaningful departmental events, encourage cooperation between branches, and help develop situations that give people a reason to interact and RP rather than simply going through their normal duties.

What makes you suitable for Site Administration?

I believe my experience as an Ethics Committee Assistant has further expanded my understanding of the site and allowed me to connect with departments I may have not that I may not have interacted with as closely through ISD. Working alongside the Ethics Committee has given me a better understanding of responsibilities and challenges different departments face, while also allowing me to see how decision and policies can affect the site as a whole. This experience has helped me become an effective communicator with different departments and understanding their perspectives than just only looking at situations from a single minded standpoint. My experience in both ISD and ECA has given me new ways of thought on site oversight. ISD has taught me how to investigate issues, interpret policy, handle misconduct, and remain impartial. My time as ECA has helped me gain my understanding of departmental relations, Ethics, policy, and the importance of working alongside other departments to resolve issues. Together, these experiences have given me a much broader understanding on how the site operates. I also believe I am suitable because I am willing to take responsibility and learn. I do not expect to know everything immediately, and I'm comfortable asking questions to my peers if there isn't something that I know, I'd rather reach out in times of assistance and do it right than not and do it wrong. As Site Administration you will inevitably deal with disagreements, complaints, and situations involving people you know. I believe it is important being able to seperate personal relationships from decisions so you can decide on what's really good for the site. The amount of RP I will create is probably my biggest strong suit of all, I love to create different scenarios and work closely with staff to see what RP they would like to see more of.

What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
- Maintaining control and stability of the site.
- Overseeing departments and regiments and ensuring their leadership is functioning properly.
- Assisting Department Directors and Commanders with issues
- Handling major disputes and conflicts between departments.

- Ensuring departments and personnel are following the established site policies.
- Reviewing and implementing site-wide policies when necessary.
- Appointing and overseeing Department Directors and MTF Commanders.
- Acting as Emergency Manager in times of Emergencies
- Maintaining and developing relationships with GOIs and other factions.

- Encouraging and facilitating RP throughout the site.
- Addressing major complaints, appeals, and issues
- Acting as a representative of the Foundation and setting an example

Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Armando de Los Santos was born in Peru to a family with an Italian background. During the younger years, he became close with organized crime, this is where he learned discipline, loyalty, and how to read people, but he suddenly realized that the life he was living had no real world impact nor purpose. He wanted to leave that world behind and dedicated himself with science and joined a private organization. Through his work and his determination he rose to the top and became one of the best researchers within the department. His achievements caught the attention of the SCP Foundation. Leading to his recruitment as a Junior Researcher at Site-65. After joining the Site, Armando quickly adapts to the new nature of his surroundings and worked his way through the ranks of the Research department eventually becoming a Cartographer. While doing research, he started to notice ethical issues that many others ignored. He witnessed researchers conducting experiments without approval, unnecessary risks being taken with personnel, poor treatment of D-Class beyond what was authorized, and departments cutting corners simply to speed up results. One thing that made Armando change his life at the Foundation was during one of his experiments using a portal into another dimension he stumbled upon what seemed to be a department well known, called “Site Inspection”. He couldn’t believe his eyes he saw a man with a machete cutting off a Junior Researcher’s hand, all from what it seemed like a simple mistake. Rather than staying silent, he wrote these incidents and reported them through the proper channels, believing that the Foundation could only do its mission if it upheld his own standards. His professionalism, reports, and willingness to hold every person to the same ethical standard, eventually drew the attention of the Ethics Committee. With their confidence in his integrity and neutrality, they provided him with a job offer as an Ethics Committee Assistant. In this capacity, Armando was involved in departmental inspections, following the Ethics Committee's orders, evaluating research proposals, looking into misconduct cases, and making sure all operations at the site were consistent with the Foundation's Legal Codex. Working together with the people from the foundation, he managed to fix any problem before it escalated, getting known as a person who was both fair and very strict. Even though some might have considered him a strict person, almost everyone respected him because he made decisions not only on the basis of evidence and policy but also believing that the Foundation would be able to save humanity while sticking to its principles. Armando de Los Santos decided that it would be time to attempt to make his way on the Site Administration team to benefit the foundation. When he decided to apply he made a campaign for his run and had a lot of support about it and eventually became apart of the Site Administration as a Site Advisor. Armando had made a bunch of promises to stick with the people and overall help the foundation. Any problems Armando had been informed of it he made sure he took care of it quickly. He worked closely with leadership within departments continuously trying to figure out what kind of problems or issues have arrised, and if anything new needed to be implemented to help. Who knows what Armando might strive for next...
