What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I feel I am the best candidate for ECA because I have prior senior CL4 experience so I know the proper procedures and what is expected out of CL4's. I also have been a prior O-1 which means I have been with ECA's for a good while and I know what is expected of them, and what they do as well as how they should act. I want to become an ECA because I want to get into RP more and not just only be a combative and I feel ECA is a good job for that.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
Ethics Committee Assistants have to do multiple things that every CL4 should do and also some specific duties that are assigned to ECA's.
- Permits: ECA's are expected to give out permits to Class-D to give them something to do around site.
- Departmental reviews: ECA's are expected to do internal reviews of departments and give feedback to the Ethics Committee.
- AA Authorization: ECA's are expected to authorize AA during dire situations.
- KOS Class-D past airlock: ECA's are permitted to authorize this only during intense situations where many Class-D are escaping and causing havoc.
- Enforcing the COC and COE: ECA's are expected to know the COC and COE and help enforce it.
- Authorizing research tests: Some tests require approval and ECA's can give that if they see fit.
- Doing orders given by the commitee: ECA's work directly under the ethics committee and are their public image and do specific tasks for them.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Researcher "Betriv" was returning from a highly dangerous test. He was called into the ethics wing a few hours later and escorted by Omega-1 into a meeting room where he'd be met with multiple Ethics Committee members telling him to take a seat. He'd comply and ask what this was about thinking that he was going to receive some sort of punishment. Instead they interviewed him asking him about the research department and how well he knew his way around to determine if he'd be suitable to become an Ethics Committee Assistant that could conduct internal reviews of the department. After the interview they had Omega-1 escort "Betriv" out and then the Committee had a discussion determining if he'd be fit for the position.
