Civilian name: Joshua Ausforn
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?: I do

-
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: Currently none, but one ban before. I received a perma-ban for an issue with my viewmodel, but it was appealed the very next day.

Why are you applying for Director of Research? I’m applying for the Director of Research position to pursue my passion for the department further. Ever since I first joined, there has been nothing I have enjoyed more than conducting tests, developing projects, and contributing to research efforts. The Research Department has always been where I have spent the majority of my time, and over that time I have developed a genuine appreciation for the work that researchers do and the role they play within the Foundation. Becoming Director of Research would allow me to take a larger role in the department that I have dedicated much of my time to. I want to help ensure that research remains active, engaging, and meaningful while continuing to contribute to the Foundation's understanding of the anomalous.

What makes you suitable for Director of Research?:
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?:
The Director of Research maintains the overall health of the Research Department and its members, ensuring researchers have documents signed and tests approved. Along with this, the Director has to make sure testing procedures/policys are up to date and current, and that information inside the research wing, like testing/sampling clearances, is up to date. The Director of Research also decides on new Executive researchers, onboarding and training them to be leaders.

Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Eggsy Ausforn was born in Rochester, New York, and originally entered the Foundation through the study of theoretical physics, focusing primarily on spatial irregularities and anomalous environmental behavior. His interest was never in containing anomalies, but in understanding why they were, the way they were.
Now serving as an Executive Researcher at Site-65, Eggsy spends most of his time conducting research, overseeing projects involving the department, and assisting other researchers. While he has long since stopped searching for answers that could explain the gaps in his memory, the questions have never fully disappeared. Perhaps that is part of why he continues to push forward.
With time, Eggsy hopes to become a Director of Research, allowing him to further contribute to the department he has dedicated all of his Foundation career to. Whether that path leads to a greater understanding of the anomalous, or himself.

What makes you suitable for Director of Research?:
- I’m extremely well-liked within the department and other departments around the site. I would absolutely say my character is well known and maintains a good relationship not only inside of RSD, but also other departments that work closely, like GSD, Medical, etc.
- I’m somewhat experienced with a leadership position, as I’m an Executive. I’ve helped bring new people to the department, overseen tests, and conducted my own projects.
- I’ve been a part of numerous events and worked with others on helping create and introduce or involve people with RP.
- I’ve got a passion for research, and only want the best for it, its members, and the department as a whole.
