Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: I have received one 60 minute Job Ban from Research by former Ethics Member Mr. Z for being on the surface during a Code Black while a nuke wasn't going off. Besides this, however, I have no warnings / kicks / bans to my knowledge.
Why are you applying for Deputy Director of Research?: I have been working closely with the Research Department for over two / three months now. I've put in a lot of effort into this Department, and I wish to help see it thrive under both my and current Director of Research Cat's hands.
The Research Department rekindled my interest in the server after being burned out from the Medical Department, and I want to have the opportunity to work closely with everyone to make the best experience within the Department.
What makes you suitable for Deputy Director of Research?: I have personally been involved with many of the contributions involving the Research Department as it stands in it's Silver Age.
I've been helping get all of the Research Divisions set up and running properly alongside others.
I've been helping increase communication off-site with Research Personnel.
I've been helping create documentation not only for the division I lead (Icarus-4), but for the department as a whole.
I've been working closely with -7, the Site Management, and the recent Directors with managing the Department.
I've even created two separate status report Google Documents, one of which being 27 pages long while the other being over 31 pages long (and still currently being modified to this day).
I've created over 9 Excellent Documents in my time as a Researcher, and I've helped bring other Researchers up to my level as Executive (such as both Lunaro and Ghoully).
I was appointed as Senior Executive by former Director Hikov and acted as a Pseudo-Deputy for some time while we didn't have a Deputy Director, so I'm more than familiar with some of the responsibilities a Deputy must uphold.
I'm always willing to lend a hand to other Researchers who may need me, even if I may not always have all the answers. I love what I do here, and I want to expand on it even further.
What are the responsibilities of the Deputy Director of Research in RP?: As the Deputy Director of Research, you are the second in command for the entire Research Department. You are a role model for others to look up to, and thus, you have a lot of responsibility with the power you now wield as a higher CL4 Personnel. These include, but are not limited to:
1. Mentoring other Research Personnel, and being more than willing to lend a hand to those that may need to seek out any advice on anything in regards to the Research Department.
2. Upholding the Code of Conduct, the Code of Ethics, and the Legal Codex on-site, as well as making sure that other Research Personnel are doing similarly.
3. Acting in place of the Director of Research when they are not currently available for on-site duties.
4. Helping manage the Research Department with the Director of Research, the Executive Researchers, Site Administration, and Site Command.
5. Serving as an example not just for other Research Personnel or the site you are located at, but for the Foundation and it's best interests as a whole.
6. Being dedicated to your position as Deputy Director, and making sure that you have a noticeable presence within the Foundation by other personnel.
Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in: A.R.A. had been working for the Foundation for quite some time now, after he had been "adopted" by the Foundation from Anderson Robotics. He was built for the purpose of gathering knowledge, and he couldn't help but feel accomplished with his work within the Research Department, no matter how hectic or stressful it might've gotten at points.
Being appointed Senior Executive by former DoR Hikov and Lead of Icarus-4 by it's Founder, Kings, it both gave him an even greater sense of purpose than just simply conducting Research. He had been able to help the Research Department of Site-56 grow, with the help of others, and his work hadn't gone unnoticed.
After taking a bit of time to himself to consider the position, he decided that it would be worth applying for. He wanted to expand the Research Department even further, and hopefully in the future, the Foundation as a whole.
This would mark his second step up the CL4 Chain of Command, and would open up a new journey within his career at the Foundation.
