First App
Have you received any kicks/warns/bans, and if so, why: Yes 1 Fail RP and 2 RDM from 2 years ago (I was GENSEC).
How many hours can you be on everyday: 1-2 or 3-4 depending if I have work or not.
Do you have any previous experience as a Gamemaster/Event Manager in a community: Yes
Why would you like to become a Gamemaster:
I would like to join the GM team in order to enhance the roleplay of departments so that they may have more to do then just their mundane tasks.
What do you think you would be able to help us with on the server? Why are you special over the other applicants:
I have experience from other servers leading server wide events involving player counts from 40 to over 100 players at once. I understand how to include other player into events naturally while avoiding main character syndrome (Unless it is needed).
Please List 3 small event ideas (Which would involve at least one side of the server):
Enhanced Checkpoints: While we do have natural checkpoints around the map to each zone many of them are not manned due to them being away from the majority of the playerbase. My goal would be to use the GENSEC department to act as guards for a more advanced checkpoint.
There are many SCPs within the universe that can be used for mini research events that can involve multiple departments (Research, GSD, and E-11). While these are normally used to give research new and refreshing SCPs it is done a lot. I would instead evolve the SCPs on the server themselves introducing new aspects and quirks to allow research to look at old SCPs with a new lens. An example would be 173 duplicating itself when it is damaged.
D-Class work events or large scale workshifts. An example would be a part of the facility collapsing and having a large group of D-Class gathered to clear the rubble. D-Class rarely get much RP unless they are testing or doing D-Class loyalist jobs. This can potentially allow for newer players to get a better introduction to the server if they are chosen to participate in the event.
Please List an map change event idea (Involving both sides and the entire server):
My event would begin with a report of a snow storm like no other affecting the area communication and other essential services outside the facility would begin preparations to prepare for the incoming weather event. This would include things like preparing SCPs to be transported off site to be sent to a more secure location, retrieving emergency air drops with essential food supplies, and fortifying the facility for the incoming weather. For the first part of transporting SCPs off site this would be successful in order to get the players comfortable and make them feel a false sense of security. Next would be securing essential supplies. This would be done by having airdrops land on the surface at different locations, but these drops can be intercepted by CI and GOC who would also be desperately trying to secure their survival. As the drops behind the weather begin to change, reducing visibility and making it so GOC aren't able to use airstrikes (For Balance). The weather would get colder and colder and a call for all personnel to return to the base would be made and they would have 3 minutes before the temperature reaches a point where anyone outside the compound would begin to freeze to death. Lastly would be a fortification section where the Foundation would have to fortify different kew support areas to prevent the facility from collapsing on itself. GOC and CI would get the opportunity to disrupt these operations by raiding the facility. If the Foundation fails at any point with each section the event wont automatically end, but instead trigger different endings with 1 bad 1 good and 2 neutral depending on what is accomplished in the previous sections.
List an example mission for each of the following (O-1, A-1, Nu-7, E-11, CI, UNGOC & Foundation Staff):
A1 and O1 missions would normally include performing special operations on behalf of their respective entities. This can range from basic retrievals to highly sensitive investigations. A good example would be assisting high level researchers with top secret SCPs only known to the Council and Committee.
Nu7 and DEA would be involved in clandestine operations involving the investigation and containing of new anomalies. They would also be involved in operations that conduct investigations on GOIs. My example for a mission would be a raid on a random GOI to secure an objective ranging from SCPs to gathering intelligence.
For an E-11 focused mission would build a mock facility that had gone dark do to a containment breach of some of the SCPs on site. Their goal would be to investigate what happened and recontian the SCPs.
While CI is known for their nature to be chaotic and unpredictable their goal at the end of the day is to use SCPs to profit. My events would involve them acting as mercenaries traveling to other parts of the world working for private entities to garner money and resources for their fight against the Foundation.
The UN focuses more on passive RP conducting diplomatic missions and gathering intel on the anomalous world in order to find the best way to destroy any of its threats to humanity. Many of my events would involve the UN interacting with other GOIs and attempting to create good standing relations with them.
For Foundation staff I would give them interesting situations that are related to their role, but do not come up often in regular gameplay. Things like repairing facility containment chambers to patching a leaky pipe these situations would allow players to do more with the role other then fixing doors or computers.
